I got out of a relationship this summer and the ending dragged on up into almost Christmas. This song reminds me so much of how I felt. I just wished I could hate him. Now, part of me does. But I’ll always care and hope he’s okay. But I’ve found someone so much better and I am so happy. And it makes me wonder why I ever let myself be put through all that. I didn’t deserve it.

This makes me think of the most random thing. When I was younger I moved house with my family. Our cat disappeared when we moved, and we'd drive past the house for months looking for him. Eventually we found him, but he had a new family
