They are holding up great. I have them outside in the snow and they're fine. I wouldn't paint composite decking. I can't see paint adhering to it very well as it is plastic. Thanks for the comment.
Excellent work sir! Genius idea. I’ve also been thinking about using composite boards for outdoor furniture. How have they held up? Can they be painted without the paint chipping off? Thank you in advance!
Great item to have and easy to maintain.
Love the beer of approval!
Looks real nice!

What is the gap difference between seasons? How much does it swell?
They look great! Is that supposed to be a 1 or 2 person bench- just curious?
Thanks for sharing Nice job

Hi, can you tell me if/how you sealed the ends of the bench after the composite boards were cut?
I don't think composite boards need to be sealed...
Did you put any kind of sealant on the cut edges of the composite?
Are the fasteners 100% necessary? I’ve been thinking about doing something like this but I don’t have any fasteners lying around
Mplx not at all necessary. I was trying to make everything hidden
Instead of wood, I built mine with decking material and one brace in the middle, no wood no rot ever...good job though,
What kind of screws did you drive in the top?
haynnv They we're left over stainless steel screws from the Veranda hidden fasteners.
Do you use normal wood glue?
Visham Ruckhunty I used Titebond II wood glue.
