I am enjoying the Lemon Palm and Spearmint tea.
After drinking the tea, I get so relax and sleepy.😊😊

I love my Lemon Balm Robyn, and once you have it in your garden and it goes to seed - you'll always have it !! It spreads like crazy once the wind blows the little seeds everywhere. There is also a Lime Balm (very similar) which also makes delicious tea xx Cathi xx

    I’ve read the following.....
“Lemon balm is an amazing herb for tonsillitis, which is inflammation caused by strep bacteria. Lemon balm detoxifies the liver, spleen, and kidneys, and helps reduce bladder inflammation, which makes it a star for helping to alleviate interstitial cystitis and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
    Furthermore.....
“Test-tube research has shown that it has antiviral effects against avian influenza (bird flu), herpes viruses, HIV-1, and enterovirus 71, which can cause severe infections in infants and children.”
This herb is quite the going concern.

I started on lemon balm tea bags 4 days ago as I was waiting for my lemon balm plants to arrive. From the very first night I got more rest because my every 3 hour trip to the bathroom though the night slowed down. Once my plants arrived yesterday I pulled off a couple of leaves and shoved them in my water bottle mixture that I constantly sip out of. That mixture is ginger root, fresh squeezed lemon and cinnamon sticks. Love the added mint flavor the lemon balm gave. Thanks for sharing these added benefits that other people aren't aware of and sharing.

    Thanks for the info!
I have had many encounters with the benefits of lemon balm. The first time that I saw its miraculous results was about 15 years ago when my daughter was feeling really sick after eating ham that wasn't totally fresh and she was on her way to the hospital. I went to meet her and on my way I purchased a small bottle of water and a Melissa tea pouch at a cafe. I placed the pouch inside the water and brought it to my daughter... about fifteen minutes later when I arrived my daughter was pale and yellowish feeling the digestive discomfort typical of food poisoning, she started drinking the cold tea from the bottle and once she was finished she was feeling 100% better. Before my intervention she was headed for the hospital where she would have been left to wait until a doctor would attend to her and probably bombard her with all kinds of medication. I have used and abused of lemon balm since then as it grows in my property. Last night after having eaten way too many Star cookies which immediately made my stomach feel bloated, I went to bed feeling quite uncomfortable and soon after I had to get up feeling quite miserable which led me to the bathroom with chills. I picked some fresh Melissa threw it into a large cup of boiled water and started drinking it after letting it steep for 5 minutes. After half a cup of tea my total discomfort started to fade and several sips later I was back to my normal self! This is absolutely true, I recommend this plant to everyone. I usually chop up a few bits of the plant which I add to my salads! It's a godsend!

Thanks for the info, I live in the US in georgia and I love Lemon balm. I plant it all over my house, I crave it and eat it almost everyday. I really want to grow in the winter. It seems to do best in spring and summer if we get enough rain. I never tried to make tea , I don't know why it has a affect on me, but it calms me so much.

Hi Robyn, Thanks for talking about why you grow what you do and how you use it. I will ask around to see if I can get some cuttings to propagate now rather than buying. Thanks for the tip. I would love to see more about uses and propagation.

Hey Robyn, thanks for the info. You mentioned that it's been used since the 1400s--wanted to let you know that Lemon Balm was actually commonly known to the Ancient Greeks and Romans as well, over 2000 years ago. :)

Could you please advise (or make a video) on drying lemon balm for tea when it is not available fresh? I also live in Queensland and the humidity might be an issue when drying herbs. Thank you.

We live in USA, Florida. Hot, jungle-like. It's turning brown at the BASE, do you know what's happening? I just now sprayed Neem oil on it, and watered it.

This thing really can help with anxiety problems. It's actually better than clonazepam or at least can help to reduce significantly the need of drugs like that.
