Sweet! Do you have a list that you would be willing to share? I've been having the same thoughts but haven't been able to come up with a starting point yet.
I wonder if you might want to run street wraith in this deck, it is a solid dredge enabler that costs 0 mana that also can be returned to hand with say it's name making them essentially a two mana mill 3 draw 1 which is fairly solid when you need it. I just don't know what you'd trim, possibly prized amalgams as psychic frog I feel like handles the beat down strategy much better and street wraith isn't a dead card against graveyard hate. it's also essentially thinning the deck by 4 or even more if you can dredge with it which is fairly solid in a deck like this that wants to just throw everything out but struggles in the fair game, redraws in the slower matchups could be a good way to get out of things that can be game-enders like not finding answers to graveyard hate or not hitting lands to make board presence. Now that I think about it, I guess the downside they have is milling them. Cause like they aren't really doing anything in the graveyard unless you get say its name.
Good catch! However, I believe Cephalid Coliseum and Psychic Frog are better targets for Say Its Name. Street Wraith is a great card, but it's tough to include these days with so many options!
@@bananajoe275actually no - altanak triggers when targeted, you draw before the trigger resolves, so it doesn’t take any damage. It gets targeted, you draw, a new OBM trigger goes on the stack before the first one resolves, it targets altanak which triggers altanak, rinse and repeat. You lose on the spot.
@@bananajoe275 Altanak draws a card when it's targeted; you target with Bowmasters, Altanak triggers, draw a card, then Bowmasters triggers again, damage is never actually dealt
@@KumanoMTG Drawing triggers bowmaster, bowmasters targets Altanak, Altanak triggers drawing you a card. Damage never resolves unless you have a way to break the draw trigger with a dredge creature in the graveyard.
Breaking news: Psychic Frog is nonsense in modern, as it is in legacy. Frog was the best card in the deck and i don't think it was close? The say its name package is cute, it can just cheese a big monster out of nowhere which isn't nothing, and in the first round, as fast as turn 2.
Do you guys think it's worth continuing to explore this card in Modern Dredge? Let me know!
Yes please!
Com certeza!
Hard to access, but seems like it's a solid inclusion.
Yesss!!
Yes🎉
Love it, I saw this combo too. Trying to use it with Intuition in legacy

@@simonek1371 it's basicly a natural order deck with heirarcs and zeniths for turn 2 intuition and have 3 natural orders and 3 rings to search up
Love your Dredge content. You should try HEDRON CRAB, its pretty awesome especially with loams.
Nice!
spell snare is a genius include, i wish to eventually learn your deck building skills
very excited for the exploration into Modern Dredge!
I think the emphasis should be on the first syllable of "Altanak", to match its creator Valgavoth.
Good catch!
O video mais aguardado ❤
Espero que gostem. Estou numa outra liga com o mesmo deck agora e já larguei com 3-0. O deck é bom, agora vamos refinar os detalhes! 😊
i pulled the juice and 3 say its name in my prerelease maybe its time to build this haha
The power of the juice!
How about psychic frog dredge in legacy? basically blue dredge with force of wills etc. but with frog
New video coming tomorrow! 🐸🐸🐸

Don't you just auto lose to Bowmasters if you have Altanak in play? Is that a concern for the viability of the strategy?
How so? you draw 9 cards and you lose your Altanak, seems fine to me :)

Not really! We only need to have a single dredger in the graveyard, something easy to achieve by the time Altanak is called.
@@MahfuzVanGogh ah yes my comment was in general not for dredge
The biggest concern I see with Altanak is if you don't have a Dredger in the graveyard and they target Altanak with Bowmasters you just deck yourself

Why would you deck youself? Bowmaster only triggers after you draw the card from the trigger, so Altanak just dies after nine pings...

It is so good, even better in a dedicated dredge deck. I've been thinking about a new UB build just because of Frog.
