When big budget action adaptations don't come close to this quality you wonder ... why?
Element7 Studios Because its way to anime-ish and "normal" people (as in: don't watch anime) don't find this kind of action appealing.
And the video remembered me why I stopped watching anime.
There is no thrill to the fight. Just a girl beating up some (uncreative) dudes in suits.
Most of the punches from the guys weren't even meant to hit her.
Its all just gloss.
Just a girl slaughtering some guys without effort.
***** It's why I specifically said "adaptations." Because if you are going to do an adaptation of an anime or something similar - you should bank on the fact that viewers will be fans of anime and used to this kind of action. Obviously in a general action movie this stuff won't appeal to a lot of normal movie goers; In my opinion it was super entertaining a thrill for me. Depending on the narrative we are supposed to suspend our disbelief and immerse ourselves in a story involving a highly skilled professional who is just above and beyond the league of her enemies. Now, if the story calls for someone a bit more grounded -- obviously this is unrealistic. But unless she is fighting someone of equal caliber story wise - I don't want to see her struggling with expendable foes lol

(most of the talent that went into this _IS_ Hollywood tier, people who worked on Kingsman, Star Wars, etc.)
The choreography is godly, especially if you consider that it is an out of context fight with almost no background behind it. Clean, sharp and without shaky camera BS, also panty shots!
Ysarc Theh hide the fact that the choreography is really only decent by cutting the shot very often. It's kinda dumb and when people notice it, you realize how bad it is.

I came back to this video after many years.
Nowadays, I'm pretty sure such a video is nearly impossible. (No one would take a risk to make such a movie for a game that is not a AAA... ^^; sadly...)
Also... Skills, hot costumes, not a rushed choregraphy... You don't see that so much these times...

You guys know how to capture the life of an anime and adapt it so perfectly! I hope... that when this Naruto movie becomes a reality, they're able to create choreography with shots as smooth as you guys. Naruto's a lot of hand to hand.. so I'd love to see how they do it
