Oh my GOD of All Machines! What a smart and *well-behaved* locomotive! I know its unburdened but still the responsiveness of that loco to throttle and break inputs between 3:50 and 4:27 is *unbelievable*!
Great to see ATSF locomotive 2926 back in operation again and hopefully this year the locomotive will have a chance to finally start hauling excursion trains.
Как может такая махина как паровоз завораживать?? Может и еше как!!!!😊❤❤❤ а как загудит, бодрит ажж🥰🥰🥰🥰 молодцы американцы, бережете и держите в строю паровозы, это 💪💪💪💪
@@timdouglas8800 Unfortunately, 2926 probably won't be running on the Transcon anytime soon except for ferry moves, but hey, if it can put in regular appearances on the New Mexico state-owned line north of Albuquerque, or at either Sky Rail or the Grand Canyon Railway, that would be awesome too!!
@@timdouglas8800 But aren't we all glad that a lot of effort has been made to take these beautiful machines out of storage or museums and let them run again? I love seeing them start running. They breath, they struggle, they seem to almost be living machines. That, along with their power and design makes these steam locomotives some of the best preserved, pre-computer machines that we have left.
@@cactusrailfan31I’m not involved in this group, but folks from the society have said that they are working with BNSF and the New Mexico DOT on excursions. As well as Amtrak to use to Albuquerque station for the starting point of excursions.
@@chooch1764Yay! That's awesome. Hopefully, in that case, while mainline excursions might not happen, at least it can then do mainline ferry moves to visit willing shortline and excursion railroad hosts

I would love to see this beast paired up with UP #4014. There would never be enough video footage of that.
Beautiful machine man.
Fantastic steam train video. Joe from Canada 😊
A magnificent locomotive! Now, I hope a AT&SF Texas 2-10-4 is restored to run the rails again!
Imagine if 3751, 2926 and Madame Queen performed a triple header together
@@SouthernFlyer1011 That would be incredibly fantastic!! It may happen one day, you never know!

2926 rules the New Mexico Rails once again!

The second video was a little better because I actually had time to set up my tripod
She’s beautiful 🤍🤍🤍🖤
Good Work.
Certainly Built them BIG didn't they!
Lookin' good, . . . .
I hope this year they can run an excursion, it would sell out, even at $500 a seat.
agreed, I have tubes and superheaters in her lol. she's needs more run time before she's trusted with excursions I would assume
Will it run in July? Because in going to Colorado
It looks just like the 3751 to me. Only with a different number.
3751 is very similar, but has some differences
@@cactusrailfan31 isn't 3751 smaller too?
It's bigger and heavier. It has a larger tender as well.
the 2900s were way fatter then the 3751s. You can see it in the boiler diameter. Id reason they were a good bit stronger too.
That's Cool.
When will she see mainline with 25 cars at 80mph
Hopefully one day, if only BNSF would allow it.

That’s 3751’s twin
Good job!
Thank you
Is this a big boy?
No, Big Boys have a 4-8-8-4 wheel arrangement. 2926 is a 4-8-4 northern.
2926 is bigger size matters
А механизм вы покрасили, лично я вернувшись из Англии и в России распространял моду, механизм полировать. А в целом все прекрасно. Спасибо за видео.

i hope BNSF lets her stretch her legs some more.
Folks from the 2926 crew said they are working with BNSF and NM DOT for excursions out of Albuquerque.
No positive train control is going to be a problem.
Last I read (early last week), 2926 and 3751 are to receive the same FRA-approved PTC equipment that is currently being used on CP 2816
The society is working hard on getting a full PTC system for 2926.

@@richhood9934 I heard the society is partnering with the state of New Mexico and eventually operate mainline excursions on NM DOT tracks.
