- Spirit Airlines is a low cost airline and does not include a carry-on bag for free. You also don't get free snacks, drinks or water. 👍🏽 I just came from the thrift store for a few more bags, since my suitcase would definitely not fit. Now, I need to get a tape measure as well 🤦🏽♀️
Oh ok. I know some small sewing kits have tape measures. Try Dollar Tree first. I went and tested out the sizer at the airport over night or hours it's no one really around to test to make sure my bag fits and do any adjustments or u can go early before the gate agents show up if u have a little extra free time.
As long as you can shove your bag into it they will let you on!
Some companies were charging if you had to maneuver it around at all to fit, even if it did fit, all because they were getting commissions from it.
I think my bag will be okay it's this damn checked suitcase spirit airlines is ghetto for only allowing 40 pounds

Caught a flight last night from LAX TO HOUSTON. as I was ready to walk inn to the plain , the attendant said to check to see if the bag fits the limit box.
Unfortunately It did not by a hair , he said $99 extra for that. Crazy. The flight was $60 bucks and the penalty was $99. Btw the flight was torture cuz my legs and person next to me.
Just bs man. I'm sorry. Have to make sure it fits smoothly because they are desperate to take your money!

I changed my bag, to a smaller bag due to packing a pair of jeans. This trip, will be an experience with Spirit alright lol.

No problem...As long as you don't need a lot of bags, you should be fine flying with them. Don't expect any free snacks or beverages. It's just an affordable flight to get you where you need to go. Lol

ONLY place your bag in those if they ask you too. Do yourself that favor 😊 Also, the London Fog Personal Bag has the qualifying dimensions for Spirit, Allegiant & Frontier (if you don’t want to pay for extra bags & know how to pack lite).
I check only when they are not around to make sure it's a good fit so I'm not scrambling trying to find a way to fit it when boarding. Works for me...

I didn't bring a small purse, just this bag. I keep all my lip balm, cell phones and wallets in my jacket pocket, especially if my bag is full. Sometimes they say something if you try to bring a fanny pack etc. on top of your personal item bag.
But obviously you can pack a purse inside the back pack right?

I have extreme social anxiety and I cannot have people looking at me pushing the bag in its so embarrassing. And its the fact that the employee gets paid 10$ for every person that pays for carry on at the last minute. And i dont blame the employee because i would do the same.😊
I have bad social anxiety too. I always go early before the gate attendants get there or find a sizer that's the same size of another airline and most times no one else is there, but at least if it's not who you're flying with, you haven't brought attention to yourself for them to be able to say something to you since you won't be flying with them.

@@shaquilleanderson1887our trip went smoothly. They do have a check bag area before you even go through tsa. They were letting people pushed their bags down, but they were also making people step to the side to pay. They have some bags specifically for personal item size I got ours from Primark but they have them on Amazon as well. Have a wonderful vacation.
