This group have known each other since childhood. One day they decided they would form a band (none of them had ever even played an instrument). This was the end result!!

Matt Helders learned how to play the drums because the other parts were already taken. He and Al were friends first, but he couldn't decide. Now he has awards for being the best UK drummer of the time (about 7 ish years ago). He is also an amazingly nice guy.
The Arctic Monkeys are an amazing band, I think you guys would enjoy some of their other music. I'd recommend checking out their song Arabella when you get a chance. Oh and like someone else recommended, you guys should check out The Black Keys too.

The drummer of the Arctic Monkeys doesn't hate this song. Not challenging, but it's alright. He sings backup as well. Matt likes it, actually.

To be honest, they are a bit difficult for an American to understand when they are speaking. However, hearing the accent in the songs is one of my favorite parts of their music.
What a song and what a band; these guys won almost every award there was in the UK for years, and that's a tough music market to be on top of *as a BAND* wow.

I just heard this for the first time about a month ago even though it's from 2013. It's an amazing song that dives deep in your guts. The video of a live Red Bull performance is excellent too. The singer sounds and moves in ways that conjure memories of Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan.

I love these guys! Found them watching Peaky blinders then found out Nipsey hustle sampled them on Victory Lap there song Knee socks! Because his lady Lauren London loved them and it’s one of my favorite songs of there and his album! ❤️

You should give some of their earliest stuff a listen, "When The Sun Goes Down" or "I Bet You Look Good on The Dancefloor"
I never saw this song as the protagonist getting back with someone, rather him debating if he should chase someone he secretly admired but never had the guts to ask out.

Alex Turner is a once in a generation musician. His lyrics and musicianship is on another planet. The north of England is where the best music hails from!

Arctic Monkeys are from Yorkshire, England.... up in the north. They were a promising indie band when they started.

you should check out their son R U Mine off the same album. it is arranged in a similar fashion, riffs and chords but its faster tempo, up beat and the drums get a proper bashing. there song 505 is awesome too

Asia. He's being the first of two people to say the truth that two people don't get on but somehow are addicted to each other. It is a powerful song, not a lullaby. He's a typical dude. Very confident amongst his male life but afraid of being rejected even though she's already proved she likes him.
