TSA: Is that a saw?
You: No... that's a handle.
It hilarious if you say it in a Midwest accent
I one time broke my backpack but I just continued using it like it wasn’t broken. My parents threw it away last year.
TSA? Who's that? Do we have to stop by and pick them up on our way out of town?
@@colbymarsh2074 well that’s just what we do in the Midwest
I'm from the Midwest and .....why the fuck do people not form the Midwest always give use Canadian accents ...iv never met someone in the Midwest who has a Canadian accent.
"Improvise, adapt, and overcome."
I would like to know how you acquired this footage of my mother
Wait, that's my step-dad!😂
@@StephanieJeanne SIS?!
Lol
🤣
Yeah! Did he put cameras in our houses or something?
"Aww, screwed the pooch" 😂 That gave me a good giggle, it was a favorite expression of an old friend of mine 😁
"Good as new." 🤣
I don’t see what was wrong with it in the first place
@@murkyturkey5238 😂 😂 😂 😂
Yep. This is how we do. MI/OH
Didn't know this was a Midwest thing... My headphones are super glued together in like 4 places 🤣 as if I'm paying 300 for another pair when these still work!
dude same, I used to be like that, but I have slowly changed away
Same!! Mine are duct taped together, and still working fine
I didn’t even know it was a Midwest thing and I live here
Razer Man O'War?
Don't believe everything you see
Airport security: NO TOOTHPICKS
Also Airport Security: A hacksaw duck taped to the suitcase is fine.
That bottle of water could be a bomb! Throw it in the garbage with all the other potential bombs we have set up in the middle of the waiting area.
@@funnyusername8635 LOL!!
@@funnyusername8635 you do know it’s the airlines that won’t relax on the liquids rule, anything to make them more money.
Not a hacksaw

As a midwesterner, i love when people say, “screwed the pooch” i dont really hear it very often, and the people who do are a very specific type of person that i actively seek out, very funny people.
Where did that come from i never hear it in michigan
@@john.premose same, i just dont hear it so much personally
@@josephthomas7462 isn’t that a Canadian expression? I don’t think he used it right
@@john.premose he used it right and we say it quite a bit in WI, well at least i do
@@AlphaXVIgames doesn’t surprise me. Ignorance is common
And this is why in the Midwest we all have garages we can’t park our cars in because they are all full of stuff we can’t throw away😂
TIL: I'm Midwestern or we're just cousins
@@hollow34 Welcome, friend.
As a finnisb person, out garage is also filled with stuff
This feels like a call out
What kinda hoarder dbag are you?

I moved to WI last year and am using your videos as travel guides. Way more accurate than trip advisor.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
This is so true lol my dad’s suitcase has a broken zipper and handle and has been probably passed down since the 18th century 💀😂
Not the saw 😂😂😂 I might need me a Midwestern man 😂
Bruh
Hey😉, how you doin?
Wanna hear masculine stories about cutting down trees and taping together truck parts while we sit by the fire in the furnace I welded together myself?
Ope, scuse me, sorry bout that, didn’t mean to bump inta ya there. It’s just a small comment section, dontcha know. Ah jeez, I feel so bad, can I buy ya a brewski to make it up to ya?
@@samsonknapp6744 😂😂😂 actually sounds fun
@@humbleherald2163 😂😂😂 yes plz& thx
This is so true. BOTH zippers are broken on my favorite bag, and yet I still manage.
I died when he pulled out the ratchet straps!
"its not going anywhere" is like a mandatory part of using them lmao
Rip in peace 🙏
Really, though, when the zipper broke, it was either zip ties, duct tape or a ratchet strap.
Baahahaha seriously
desbrbry I prefer the orange one. That’s how people know you mean business.
The first dude was so nice to give me a free suitcase. Some of my best shit was found while driving around on garbage day
THIS IS SO TRUE!!!!! Our suitcase broke my dad ratchet strated it and he wasn’t coming on the trip with us so we had to go to the local ACE when we got there to we could open the suitcase
I see similarities with the midwest and sweden
Not a coincidence, we're like 80% Scandinavian 😂😂
@@hippocleides7105 that whold make sence😄

“Oops forgot my phone in there!”
when the zipper on my dad's suitcase broke he soldered the hook back on and used a key ring as the pull
I used a paper clip as a zipper pull on a jacket that I had for years. At least ten lol
The ole key ring pull is a nice upgrade.
I was kinda perturbed when a friend broke the pull off the zipper on one of my tool bags. He pulls out a key ring and now it’s better than it was. Accident turned upgrade.
Olds Guy I’ve done that too 😁
@@oldsguy354 I did that with my old carhartt. The jackets last a fairly long time but the zippers do not. Lol!

Your content always cheers me up
*Me, looking at a broken suitcase in my corner I've had for 5 years*
"And I took that personally."
You can tell the age of a midwest suitcase by the percentage of duct tape holding it together.
It has rings like a tree
😂
Once again, this hits close to home. My suitcase handle came apart years ago. Replaced it with a boot lace from one of my old Army boots, wrapped around several times. Works great!
From the Pacific Northwest and my motto is if I can fix it, I’m not buyin a new one and I’m keeping that one.
More people should be like this, dont create waste when you dont have to

And a case of lidenkugels?

Absolutely what my Dad would have done. Nothing was ever bad enough to throw away. It could always be fixed no matter how awful it looked or inconvenient it was to use!!!! Thanks for the (not always) fond memories,
I always look forward to your content. Keep up the awesome work!!
"Good as new" got me dead😂😂
We're not from the Midwest, but this is my dad exactly 🤣
One of the few shorts that was actually worth it.
That Shell could definitely be made into something I feel like I wouldn't throw it out
the ope hat and "geez louise" are what really got me
The saw💀💀 I am literally screaming inside 🤣 it's so cheap and creative it's hilarious.
And you never know when you might need a saw to help a neighbor or fix some other broken thing on your trip.
Good luck passing security with that “Handel” 🤣😂
@@sgvincent100 oh yea thanks for correcting me!

Your videos makes me proud to be a Midwesterner…unfortunately I am a Lions fan tho…
Thats the equivalent of shitting the bed after you were potty trained
Don't worry they'll really start strong again next year and get Michigan's hopes up, just to fail to make the playoffs in the second half or lose in the first round. Never try to depend on the Lions 😂😂
Da Bears!
Ewww gross.
We all have our flaws, even if yours is an unhealthy love of lions.
(I'm not from the Midwest, I don't know what Lions you're referring to. I assume it's a football team although it could be an ice hockey or even a baseball team for all I know.)
That’s the classic line. That’s not go’n anywhere
“Good as new.” bro i cant🤣🤣💀
You're awesome man
My mom is from not-the-Midwest and my dad is born-and-bred Minnesotan. Looking at the luggage in the basement you can definitely tell whose is whose.
His voice when he said "Good as new"
It looks like he is eating something🤣🤣
Ain't just midwesteners lol, this is exactly how me and my family view things 🤣
Cracks me up every single time
When the zipper on my backpack broke a few months ago I said “SCREW IT!!”, took a knife, cut 2 holes in my bag, and zip tied it back together!
Life hack !🤔
This takes resourceful to another level
Wait, i thought this was just in the getto xD
Charlie such a card...gives my dull and uneventful life a lift😄
"Ah screwed the pooch" 💀
omg I love those suitcases. Bought em' for our trip to Alaska, no regrets. Totally recommend them
As a midwestern this is insanely true!!
I’ve never not lived on the west coast and I feel so represented right now!
I actually do this lmao
As a midwesterner I can confirm… wait how’d you get footage of me?!
As a Midwestern, you're damn straight we're not throwing that out!
You are my hero
As a Midwest resident. The lingo is spot on
I feel the Original Leinenkugel's. That's what I ask for when folks visit from the Midwest.
Why is this so true 😭
Whenever we go to Missouri (both my parents are from there and my grandma and uncle live there) I always see like 50 bags that are like this lmao
THE RATCHET STRAPSSSS 😂🤣🤣🤣😂
As a Midwestern person I can confirm that most of the people at our airports have this exact same bag.
Suitcase broken like the Packer’s offense next season. Go Bears!!!

This is the most Wisconsin thing ever 😂 🤣
The boots and toque just bring it all together
The oh jeez lawize had me dying I can't 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Dude, Nick Kroll has gotten so funny over the years!!! Keep it up! 👍
Yep ducktap and tiedown straps is all ya need, fixes everything
Wow- i needed to see this
OMG I DIED LAUGHING!!!!! THIS IS A 3 TIMER AT LEAST!!
This man makes a video every time something happens to him in his life. This is why he’s successful
i like how both of these seem equally unreasonable in the short
It isn't broken until it's 85% duck tape.
*"It's not stupid if it works."*
I replaced the zipper on my favorite jacket not too long ago. The jacket still has plenty of wear left. With the right tools, I think it's worth it to replace zipper pieces where possible. New luggage is expensive
When my suitcase zipper broke, I cut the one off of a comforter set bag and sewed it on directly on the underside of the old zipper. Still works perfectly after a couple years!
I just roared outlook with laughter !
Parents: “Are you challenging me?”
it's the fact that this level of effort was taken to pack a bag filled with beer and a packers helmet that really makes it accurate
I'll be honest he got me with the saw
When he said it ain’t going anywhere he really meant it
Yep. I’ve had the same phone case since around 2016/2017. Had to carve around the camera hole when I switched to a phone with a bigger camera. Good as new.
Lol I did that. Work was throwing away a perfectly good carrying case collapsable thing. I was like this looks cool. They said it’s trash hinge is broke. I took it home. Picked a nail off she’d floor. Used grinder to cut it down to about 2.5” and then drilled hole in hinge part of the case and inserted the nail and now I have a new longer stronger hinge pin perfectly good. Still works perfect.
why are they so relatable though
*THAT LOOKS PERFECTLY FINE WITH THE TAPE N' ALL Y'ALL*
Totally true. Never throw anything out
As a Michiganian, I can attest this is the truth! 💜✋
Everyone gansta till the airport security tell you that you can’t bring “weapons” in
I like that he packed beer in the suitcase. Perfect.
Ok but if the zipper breaking just means the zip is ripped off and is stuck only on one side of the zipper, which is the most common way zippers "break", it's not broken at all and can still be 100% functional.
Near the end of the zipper, cut perpendicular to the edge and then shove the zip back on like how you zip a hoodie. Zip the zipper up some, then just above/around the cut, sew the two sides of the zipper together so it won't fall off.
Done this tons of times on my shitty old backpack. Works every time.
TSA definitely gonna be looking through that-
This is painfully accurate
He Just went and "Resolvered" that whole thing
Ah geez Louise.
Gets me every time
Dude I was waiting for you to show me how to fix it 😂😂😂😂😂 I cannot 😂😂😂😂 #saw
