me too, but after i sold my MD UW MK1 a couple of years ago for just 550 Euro
2022 here and I think this is the most creative drum machine nowadays
i hoped the modor dr-2 will come close, but... no.
2020 anybody? next year machine drum will be 20 years old

Well, 10 years ago I listened to that video and it made me buy the Machinedrum the very next day... and this mature machine is still today part of my studio and gig setups. (EDIT 2024: and still is today ;-). Also, I had to send the machine to Elektron for a revision due to some potentiometers malfunctions and to change the internal battery + overall check. I got my Machinedrum back after 2 weeks and it was fresh as new. Very happy about the support from Elektron.

This is the video that made me (and so many others) buy this device back in the day!
I'm a Reaktor guy who wanted a machinedrum because i thought there was nothing that do those kinds of things. I found a Reaktor ensemble called paramdrum that replicates(not a machinedrum emulation) a lot of the MD s functions. Mainly parameter locks. Just thought i'd spread the info for Reaktor users who want a machinedrum but can't justify or afford one. If you own Reaktor it's only $15 and it's freakin dope.
I bought the UW MKII a year ago thanks largely in part to this video. And what a fantastic piece of engineering this is! I consider it a piece of art really...the best kind, functional :D

this is really fun! i was fooling around with this and i came up with an idea for expanding on it that's sounding really cool. if you put slide on all of the notes for the ctrl-al track then when it's unmuted it has a very different mutating effect

You've been makin the sounds i want to make in today (2017)
No guys this isn't a sampler this is a real deal synth based drum machine, the machine is priced at the range of 2000 bucks. It can perform glitch type music flawlessly with the amazing analog type sounds and modern if you prefer.

Out of all the machinedrum videos on-line this one may be the best. I've been watching it for four years. . . I finally broke down and bought one! It should be here in a few days. thermalmaximum is right, Elektron really should send you a cut.

Im not sure if you know but if you press the [FUNCTION] + [CLASSIC/EXTENDED] keys together the kit will revert to the state it was when you saved it. Very useful if its all gone a bit too wobbly. Also the new update adds ctrl machines which let you do all that with the master effects section. Keep it up ;)

if you like these kind of digital sounds then it's the best machine out there. The interface is simply the best invented so far (imo). Sometimes I get a bit bored of the sound though.
