Oh say no more... You had me at Limoncello!!! Yes Please...Thank You and it looks so delicious yet easy. my mouth is watering and I will be making this as soon as I get my hands on some nice limoncello... So Good... It is a hot weekend here too. Perfect timing.
I went to an Italian restaurant here in Australia years ago and they served limoncello gelato in champagne flute glasses. The gelato had a swirl of what looked like yellow lemon curd through it but I think it was a sort of limoncello sauce that had been swirled through the gelato and gave a very nice tangy flavour. Your video reminded me very much of that dessert.
Wow!!!!. This looks amazing Geoff. Lemon ice cream is certainly one of my favourites. I imagine it will be even more delicious with Limoncello. I will be dreaming about this tonight.
HI Emily. Thanks very much. It tastes so good and so thick and creamy. I have an even better one coming soon, with Amaretto for an almond flavour with some glace cherries too.
That looks lovely, Geoff, and hardly any calories at all! I don't drink and, as I'm not very steady on my feet, perhaps this isn't a good time to start so I shall have to try it with the lemon juice and let it thaw a bit before I use it. Can't wait to see what you'll put in your next ice cream recipe. 👍
HI Nees Argon. I don't drink either and only have alcohol in the house really to use in recipes. The next one also has alcohol, amaretto which has a wonderful almond flavour.
Thank you again Geoff, just made your super ice cream. Tasted good without freezing (had a little spoonful) but it's now in the freezer. I love your no fuss striaghforward videos. xx
HI Eureka Lass. Packed in a lot of dry ice it should be perfect when it arrives. My sister will drive down from Whyalla to collect her share, so be sure to save it for her.
Hi Baseball Mania. It is sweetened condensed milk. I have never actually tried, or even seen, the unsweetened version, though I know it's available in some places.
Mmm limoncello.. one of the few alcohols I'll drink. I want to try to make a hard lemon-lime soda using it and some lemon and lime juice. Also want to try to make a hard orange soda using grenadine, Grand Marnier and vanilla vodka, obviously with club soda added to each. From what I just read you can actually just cut a peel or vanilla bean and add it into a bottle of vodka to infuse it so I might go that route instead of dealing with Smirknoff or Absolut.. I still need to find a good vodka I actually like.. Recent experiments with Stoli didn't go well, it had an off taste that I really didn't like. But then being autistic I'm REALLY picky and being in a state that allows it, I might just stick to a certain green herb... once I find one that doesn't reek.
HI J A Ratt85. Since I don't drink spirits or liqueurs at all, or even much beer these days, I can't comment much on such things. But I do enjoy some alcohol in recipes and this one works very well.
@@geoffsbakingblog I've done it! It was so easy to make, really. Although I got a little worried when I checked it after 4 hours...still a little softer (but tasty!), than I thought it should be. After 6, it was a little harder and I thought that it would make a good filling for a ice cream pie if you used one of the pre made graham cracker crust and then froze it again. Finally, after an all night lie about in the freezer, it was perfect! I think my next foray will be orange flavoured, which I do believe I'll make a ice cream pie of.
@@karenstewart8818 Hi Karen. That's great. I am glad it worked out well for you. It does get firmer the longer it is left, so it is really a matter of how firm you want it. I hope your ice cream pie is a big success too.

Hi Julie-Joy. I do hope you enjoy the ice cream when you get to make it.
Mmmmm, I can just taste this with fresh sugared strawberries from out of the garden. Thanks for another winner Geoff.
Hi Spiderbirdie. That would be great, lovely freshly picked strawberries. MMMM,

HI Bloke About Town. That gelato sounds very good indeed. I have seen some limoncello in a creamy form. That might be nice swirled through too.

Hi Geoff, yet another fantastic recipe. Thank goodness you aren't a TV chef you don't waste a drop.
HI Adrian. I do like to scrape as much as I can out of my bowls, can't be doing with leaving half of anything on the sides.
Thank you I love lemon 🍋. I saw a recipe with coconut milk, but can't find x this looks divine.
Hi Miss Dream. I think I may have a go at some no churn with coconut milk/cream at some time.
@@geoffsbakingblog Good idea Geof. I love coconut. Lol have a lovely weekend God bless.

HI Linda. I must admit that I, too, had a taste before it went in the freezer, and had to stop myself eating more.
Looks delicious Geoff, I’m going to use up the last of the limoncello that I have on this recipe. Very summery.
HI Wendy. It is a very good way to use up your limoncello. I hope you enjoy it.
Amazing! Great recipe. Thanks 😊
HI Daysio. Thanks very much.

Delish! Still waiting for mine to arrive in Adelaide. I’m sure it will travel just fine, Geoff, don’t you? The lemon curd is a perfect touch x
