Hi fella that photo you were looking at for the bolt pattern was for the 1100 ohv engine careful m8 we hen you bolt back up cos the drawing be wrong for the bolt tightening sequence ....
Great content as always buddy...I swear you're going to meet yourself coming the other way one day...you don't stop 🤣 plus I cannot believe Cat's allowing Roger to used on van duty already !!! 🤣🤣🤣 👍👍👍
I loved my sunbeam, 1.6 engine 1.3 gearbox and 1.1diff OMG! It wasn't fast top end but through the country lanes here in Wales it was rapid the handbrake had been messed with so it would stay up if you pushed the button in to release just lift and drop then it was a rise and fall handbrake. Awesome! Boy racing on a budget 🤣
Great vid the way I check for exhaust leaks is start it up get someone hold rag over tail pipe then the gasses escape from blow flexi is usual what fails first on these all the best donny
Too much time with just water in the Mk3 water system has caused sludge build up. You will need to get the water ways cleaned out. Would be sensible if the head gets chemically dipped to clean it before being refitted, it would be worth it and flushing with cleaners when you get it going again. Remember the rad is potentially full of silt also. I am sure CVH's might use stretch bolts as well on refitting. HGF was on the outer cylinders as Chris showed. Good luck on any of the bolts on Dads exhaust. At that age and mileage they will crumble and snap. Will be a bigger job than you might think, but good viewing as always Marcus !!
Thanks for all the advice mate! 👍 The head will be stripped and cleaned @ Clumpfab and I will be flushing the coolant system once the engine is back together (ill be flushing it with a hose before I fit the head too) I have new head bolts for the CVH and yes I think the exhaust job on the Focus is going to 'interesting' with those rusty bolts! 😃
Hope your feeling better mate! Little bit of progression on the mk3! Cleaning them bottom end ports looks like it’s going to be fun! 👀 see you soon! 👍🏻
Your vlogs are very professional. When checking auxiliary belt tension you need to be pushing down on the belt not twisting it as you appeared to be doing. Apologies if you already know this. Gutted to see the damage to Esther but all good content for your channel which I really enjoy and make sure to watch every episode. Be lucky.
Chrysler Sunbeam brings back childhood memories and it was the last ones from 1979 on that were badged as Talbot. Rust in the CVH block is down to running without antifreeze.
Great video Marcus, as always 👏. Running on your break at work to work on the cars, i take my hat off to you.😎 A couple of videos back somebody was on your case about the bubble arches and claimed they were Forest Arches, well, with respect to that person, the rally car at clumpfab has Forest Arches on. So there are a major difference between the two as one could see. As for your dads car, make sure that you got the right one firing on your timing before assembly, as the rotor can turn and you could be way off. Seeing that the head will be stripped that cam timning could also be out. ( but i am sure you should know that (lol) Top man.👍👌
If I remember rightly the guy before was talking about Mk1 arches which I have always called 'bubble arches' because of the shape. Thanks for the advice about the timing on the head. Is the cam pulley not on a 'keyway' ???
Another great video and yet again another total block head with a thumbs down what is wrong with some people, well done on a very good informative video. love it
@@TheAlien1974 cvh was a good engine just needed proper maintenance and regular oil changes more than what was recommended my own xr3 has only cambelt changes and a set of valve seals in 25yrs of ownership used to see engines rattling and full of sludge due to no oil changes that's a killer on cvh
@@chrisday3882 I saw it mate! Such an awesome lump! 👍 I'll TRY to remember to mention it when I collect my head from Clumpfab and put the pic on screen in the video. 👍
I think Chrysler was rebranded to Talbot. My Dad owned a Chrysler Alpine in the eighties and I’m pretty sure the later one’s were Talbot Alpine. Always good to watch your Ford project updates.
If ever an engine needs a steam clean 🧼 it’s yer da’s engine, it’s a long time since I’ve seen an engine that dirty and oily, lol 😂. Niiiiiiiiiiice video Marcus, but you forgot one thing, you forgot to introduce your beautiful girlfriend Cat 🐈⬛ lol 😝

You’re brave going under that Focus on the factory jack!
Brave going under anything with any jack. Use axle stands
Living on the edge! 😃

Thats some dangerous 💩 right there!!!
Braver man than me venturing under a car with it being held up on a black widow

Nice one helping your dad.

Be sure to use the CVH manual for reinstalling the head rather than the kent/valencia guide!

Its not an engine light but more for emmissions hence exhaust blowing
Make sure you fit new spark plugs to your dads focus as majority of the time worn plugs are the reason coil packs fail .
