better than Denise Beillman’s lutz that’s for sure. Also notice that at an early age, she’s already developed her high cross legged air position. She jumped so high she had no choice but to slow down her rotations by widening her stance to avoid overrotation. What an awesome problem to have!

A true legend! I also love Yamaguchi, but her year should have been 1994 and if Midori didn't have all that pressure from the media, she should have claimed the 1992 Olympics or even 1988 if it weren't for those darn outdated compulsory. Midori's legacy and accomplishments overshadows some forgettable Olympic champions (uh, Sarah Hughes' fluke win? K. Witt's overacting death of Carmen in 88?) so it's too bad Midori didn't get that Olympic gold.
I had no idea there were so many different circumstances behind it.
My favorite skater. I like her the most.
