Water Moccasins love the water. But they like to sun them selves on land. we fished in Virginia and North Carolina. Loved living there. Water Moccasins do like to chase and they would get on my hook
This has to be one of the most ridiculous examples of reptile husbandry I've ever seen, peppered with choice tidbits of misinformation. Why on earth would you mix all these species, and in such high numbers? Your feeding technique, and I use that term loosely, leaves much to be desired. These animals should all be separated by species, and tong-fed pre-killed food items. This setup has about as much appeal as those cheesy roadside tourist attractions featuring two headed babies.
💯% this. 😆. And this is an "educational center" 😆 This is animal abuse, the snakes bite each other. Pit-vipers cannot compete with many colubrids. WORST EDUCATIONAL FACILITY EVER
I saw snake hunters in Georgia on UA-cam and they showed many rattlesnakes in trees. It had rained so snakes were in trees. I had a snake go straight up the side of my house once.
These snakes look thin and starving, how would every individual ever get a mouse with so many in there? Why lock them up and treat them like this? Making them out to be demons they are minimal risk and they are terrified of humans and they will get as far away from a human as possible. A snake only has it's head to survive with nothing else. No legs, no arms nothing, as I said how do they all get a meal in this set up?
I thought rat snakes eat other snakes especially bull snakes, I had a bull snake & before i knew they ate pretty much anything they can constrict & swallow i made the mistake of putting a baby ball python in his enclosure when i came back it was half way down my bull snakes stomach so i made the bull snake regurgitate it & lucky the ball python was ok
That's an awful story. Why didn't you let it finish the ball python ? You act like all of this couldn't have been prevented by READING A BOOK. Seriously, if you told that story in front of a classroom, you'd be laughed out the door. Shame on you.
Would be a fat bastard lol they have no hold back. I found a big male out no shit I think it was under 70 degrees. punding down big frogs or toads which ever in a friend's yard. Funny snakes

How do you know this isnt how they would live in nature? Have you ever seen a snake den? This is literally the very same scenario snakes would encounter in a snake den, so this is an accurate environmental depiction of their habitat...
What's the purpose for having a number of snakes in that artificial environment? Just to have some entertainment throwing live mice in the pit? I think it's sick. Regardless of how academic the guy sounds this video is pure sadistic depraved garbage.
Exactly what I was wondering! I think he makes $$$$ off selling them and people pay to see them. I think he's the guy that has boots, belts, lampshades,etc...🙄
This is not done in the interests of education or for environmental protection. It is just done for personal satisfaction and financial gain. Those poor tame mice have to suffer an agonising death merely to satisfy your sick and depraved pleasures.
@@davidockley2987 what an imbecilic comment, David 🧐. Everything about this video is HORRIBLE and you are concerned for the mice which are the damn good source for the snakes??? David, clearly you aren't a scientist.

This is an excellent video.
Throw murderers and rapists in that pit.
Throw the liberals in the pit!

What do you think they are eating. If had no vermin they would have moved on.
@@outcast566 not really. Anybody who educates themselves on snakes, dont have fear, but respect.
@@kaidengathings3096 Here I am educating myself and am still scared. Some people love snakes some don't. Get off your fucking high horse.

Coral snakes have front fixed fangs just like all the elapids have neurotoxic venom.
Hey Bayou Bob, do you speak Parseltongue?
Take care and God bless.
This is a perfect place for my mother in- law to sun bath inside that pit.

Yes, more than wrong it's satanic.
