I don't know if there is an advantage over spinning its just so darn fun throwing little baits like that or little crankbaits. I love skipping around a wacky rig on my BFS . Im not in to all the super light stuff i stick to 1/8 to 1/4 lure on my BFS. Anything I would throw on a medium spinning is what I throw on my medium-light Curado rod & reel. Also pitching is more enjoyable on a casting reel over a spinning.

I prefer bfs due to lighter weight on rod and reel plus I'm more accurate. The only time i use spinning is for dropshoting
