Behemoth Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel - Composer Reaction and Dissection // The Decomposer Lounge
#BEHEMOTH
SORRY GANG - just found out that there is major block on this video for copyright. I'll do what I can do get it released.
Behemoth started as Black Metal with Pagan thematic, from few years they mix Black with Death Metal elements :)
It's playing fine here in UK, love the fact you're listening to Behemoth, I'd highly recommend the drum cam of MGLA' Exercises in futility V, the drummer Darkside is unreal 🤘
Even if you don't do a react video you have to check this out purely from a drummers perspective, I'm a drummer first, guitar player 2nd, and this always blows my mind... Trust me you'll be as amazed as I am..
m.ua-cam.com/video/wcsTJ1n2jkE/v-deo.html
Yea seems fine uk
Watched no problem in New Zealand.
We're going to have to get some Mgła in here at some point
I'm sure it won't take long...
One of the best black metal bands of all time... so underrated... they are as true as Bathory.
Behemoth are the Polish underlords of extreme metal.
Beg to differ. I think Infant Annihilator take that title. Overlords of extreme metal, that is.
@@kalicom2937 I raise you old school Extreme noise terror :D @Death Metal ...ahh...you took the name :D
@@kalicom2937 Infant Annihilator isn't Polish, also totally different genre (yea, both fall into extreme I guess). Behemoth was/is a black metal band, Infant Annihilator is deathcore (sometimes even gore)
@@Inferiis Please re-read what I said. Carefully.
@@kalicom2937 Infant Annihilator is a Joke and underlord of nothing.
Mgla - exercise in futility I would be a great song to analize.
Really glad you took a look at Behemoth, they really opened the door to heavier music for me, their arrangements, composition, and thematic elements are just incredible. Thanks for doing these videos I've learned a lot from them. Keep up the good work
So if you liked a band I recomend you to check Septicflesh, a greek band of symphonic death metal.
Hey dude....as an older (47 yrs old) old skool (late 80's, early 90's) thrash/death metal drummer, whos progressed through the prog of Tool, Dream Theatre, etc in the 90s and expanded onto the more extreme Deathcore, nu-metal, etc vibes of the 2000's. I'd just like to say thank you for the break down of the engineering which unfortunately we weren't blessed with during the 90's etc, as we had to take the producer/engineer on all of our demos at face value. And unfortunately most of them didn't have a clue due to experience or technology or whatever. But I have learnt so much from your vids over the past couple of months I am more equipped now for any studio project than I have ever been. Thanks for enlightenment, and keep up the great work my man. Kudos
behemoth has such amazingly tasty playing and production its mindblowing every time i listen to them again.
Please please react to
DEATH-STORY TO TELL
And SPIRIT CRUSHER
You'll love it .
Damn right! We have too many Tool reactions by now ;-), that the Aloha Man needs to discover Death's wonderful discography!
I like when you're getting out of your comfort zone. We're gently getting into heavier stuff now, jolly good show.
next stop ua-cam.com/video/CXmjJN5QtrE/v-deo.html
Riverside - Left Out
I'd recommend Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer if you'd ever react to them again.. its an easy listen with high energy levels and I love going nuts to that song
The drop in the middle(ish) is one of the best in metal of all time.
Hello from Poland! Happy to see this video. I've been following the channel for some time now. Great stuff!
I'm still surprised that you didn't bump into any of the Blotted Science songs yet. Instrumental mathematical madness.
I’d second that, anything Ron Jarzombek tbf
Try Cretaceous Chasm by Blotted Science. They rescored a scene with bugs from Peter Jackson’s King Kong. It’s great
oh wow, any chances for getting a reaction to MGŁA's "Excercise in Futility I" since we're at Polish black metal? :)
The drum cam of EOF V would be badass too 🤘
I second this
V please. Mgła next please
He NEEDS to experience part 5 at some point, yes..
I know not everyone cares about this as much as I do, but it's worth mentioning that Mgła release their music on a pretty openly NSBM label, and most of the members of the band itself have played in Clandestine Blaze (an NSBM band) in the past.
Again, I know not everyone cares about this as much as I do, but in a world with millions of fantastic artists to dive into, I'd rather put in a lil extra work to make sure I'm not supporting or giving a platform to people with harmful ideas about the beautiful and diverse people who make up the scene.
Some slappin alternatives to Mgła are Woe, Spectral Wound, and Uada imo, feel free to check em out!
Dude! Dimmu Borgir - Kings of the Carnival Creation
Hey Geebz, I would so appreciate a reaction to something by the band Car Bomb. Their album 'Meta' was produced by Gojira guitarist Joe Duplantier and is absolute killer. Car Bomb deserve a lot more credit than they get. I reccomend checking out 'Lights Out' on above mentioned album.
Edit: I didn'r realize you already had reacted to one of the songs. Even more proof of the gift that is this channel. Greetings from Germany xxx
He did a song by Car Bomb already btw
Shout out for Meta! Still my favourite album of theirs.
@@TruzFest Oh, I am stupid. Didn't realize. But all the better, this is an amazing channel.
Dziękuję Geebz! these guys are from my birth town Gdańsk. I don't really listen to them but it's great to see them get as big as they have and evolve in the process.
Wolves of Siberia is one that really grabbed me, with its relentless intensity.
finally!! I've been waiting for this and this song especially! since january.thanks geebz
Definitely do more Behemoth. I recommend "Ov fire and the void" or "daimonos".
Zaskoczył Pan tym, niespodzianka
Another one from my playlist, Geebz! Great decomposition, awwwright!
They are insane i am a bit overwhelmed by their music its very massive just like Meshugga its just a little to much for me but its obvious that this is brilliant
More black or death metal!!! We need you reaction to it! Great video too!
Behemoth's drummer is my fav. He just kills it. He does everything perfect. I listen to this band before they even started playing/adding death metal. But goddamn that drumms. Also, think about it: he plays all of that in heavy high metal boots! That's crazy.
My country, one of my favorite bands.
I'm glad you ventured on BlackMetal.
Try `O Father O Satan O Sun` -- it is their magnum opus.
Agreed
React to imperial triumphant!! Absolutely insane black/death metal on the forefront of innovation with some unbelievable jazz influences. Try Rotted Futures to have your world blown wide open
You should see Mgła - Exercises in Futility V
It's not that interesting to decompose. Mgla play pretty simple yet atmospheric music.
@@AlexDraganOmu well he loves to discuss drumming, so mgla is a perfectly good suggestion
FINALLY !!!!! Thank you geebz !!
Keep doing it, you are awesome
Nice breakdown of the track, it has a great music video, listening/watching is an audio visual experience.
Please react to Bjork and Scott Walker!
Would love to hear his take on the vocal harmonies of Shutout
Really dig your reactions Geebz, please do a reaction on "Domination" by "Pantera". There is a really cool live version in Moscow. 🤙🏻
This is called DOMINATION!! *madness starts*
@@filipskopic4377 yes, that's the one bro 🤘
@@denis_stojkovic Ha zna se sta valja
Ah, I'm glad someone else also suggested Pantera.
Great video, love Bohemoth. Please take a look at Fleshgod Appocalypse - The violation.
awesome band...
Im happy that You chose Behemoth. I wisch that You here more of them. I recommand others song like: God = dog, Ov fire and the Void and something older No symphathy for fools (one of my favoritej). Tkank You, wisch You a good day and greetings from Poland.
Some heavy stuff here:
Nile - Iskander D'hul Karnon
Nero Di Marte - Time Dissolve
Ageless Oblivion - Glacial Blood
Beyond Creation - The Deported
Beheaded - The Ancient Acumen
Humanity's Last Breath -The Aftermath
Archspire - Lucid Collective Somnambulation
Obscura - Velocity
Spawn Of Possession - The Apparition
Origin - Saligia
Yesss!!! Behemoth! You should check Carach Angren too, the drums and keys are epic
If you like that bass you should also listen to O Father O Satan O Sun from Behemoth too, it is awesome !
Hey man love your work I haven't asked awhile so I'll put forth Eluveitie "rebirth" again.
Great video, it's nice behemoth on the list ;)
If you want crazy drumming, you could check out Gojira - The Art of Dying or Nero di Marte - L'éclisse
Let's go 😎
Czesc!
Great band , great reaction :)
Apropos unbelievable drumming technique: Flo Mournier of the band Cryptopsy - drum cam video of „Cold hate, warm blood“
Is kinda disconcerting listening to this one while that cute little dinosaur watches on in the background!
This is a nice surprise, thank you. It would be awesome to hear your opinion on Acid Bath - Scream of the butterfly. cheers!
Dimmu Borgir - Progenies of The Great Apocalypse
What about some Sunn O)))?
Oh this is gonna be a bit extreme for you ahaha, their mix of death and black metal is quite interesting, the point of their musicality tends to be more about evoking a certain stylistic atmosphere, which can be "catchy" in some sense, despite the extremeness of the music. If you want to listen to some more Blackened (sometimes a bit doomy) Death metal, but with a strong 20th century classical music influence, I'll recommend checking out Ad Nauseam - Imperative Imperceptible Impulse, I think you would really appreciate it. God bless and thanks for the insight you provide with your reactions!
Oh yeah! Or even Ad Nauseam's debut album (which I even like a bit more, but they are both great)
Spot on about phrygian - Behemoth often use the phrygian (and phrygian dominant) mode in their composition, they're able to get some really evil sounding feel from it that sets them apart from their peers. And it works so well, if takes their normal Diabalos In Musica style and adds that mesopotamian other-worldliness to make it feel darker and deeper, it's really cool.
Please do a reaction to Crack of Light by Vintersea.
VAST - Touched
Love your vids, man.
Please do either Breadcrumb Trail or Good Morning, Captain by Slint
Extreme Metal Masterpiece >> Ulcerate - Stare Into Death And Be Still
YUS! Much love for Behemoth. If you can get into Behemoth, I've gotta reccomend 'Unbound By Sin' by Akercocke.
More Behemoth would be awesome! Id love to see a reaction to anything by Devin Townsend too. Juular maybe?
Im kinda glad you didn't choose the video version 😆
ISIS - Not In Rivers But In Drops
I would love to see a breakdown if 'Kinetic' by Arcturus, wonderful Avant-Garde Metal.
O father, O satan, O son
Finally you have started knocking on the door of black metal. Pls do Satyricon -Dawn of a New Age. Would be interesting to see your take on the production 🤘
that ending ... powerful and creepy!
Maybe Alkaloid would be a band you'd love to listen to. They are amazing, both in their musicianship and composing. I'd suggest the song Kernel Panic, as I feel it has that "something" that pulls you toward the rest of the songs.
Keep up the Great work Geebz!
Hi. Thank you for your reaction. What I can say, I like your reaction. I've see that you have open mind for every genre of music. I would like to just advice that best way for reacting to Behemoth music is see whole pack, I mean music and video. This is most important because they have really amazing videos connected to lyrics. I would like to suggest other two songs of Behemoth - Ora Pro nobis Lucifer and O Satan O Father o Sun. Have o good time.
@8:30 come on mate, the drums were good but the bass and guitar compositions right there were amazing, vocals too. That is probably the best composition of this song!
Emperor, Marduk, Gorgoroth, Mayhem, Darkthrone, Belphegor, Dissection
all great bands to check out!
Emperor above all
Soilwork.. Follow the Hollow :)
Ok, since you touched upon drumming and technique they use in metal songs, you should checkout Darkside's (from the band Mgla) drum cam for the song 'Exercises in Futility V' - that will blow your mind guaranteed
Could you check out Trivium? Kirisute Gomen is a great song by them
Great breakdowsn, as always.
Regarding the drums... Inferno is rally good, he has great speed. But some good technical death metal drummers will interesting to listen to as well :)
7:30 best face
Wow! Nice one going into that direction! Continue your journey to the east, please:
Slaughter to prevail - Demolisher
Bass is Darkglass power!!
Will you do a reaction to Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer?
Please listen to Ghost!
Also worked fine in Germany
Aw hell yeah brother we are going black :D if you ever decide to come back to Behemoth, you have to check out "No Sympathy for Fools" a masterclass of heaviness and melody merging together.
Hello! I recommend you Extremoduro. Spanish band, one (probably the best) rock band in all Spain.
I'm sure you'll love their song "So payaso" , pretty diferent ;)
Then you can listen to their punk/rock songs or their prog ones. I'm sure you'll love it, please try it!!
If you enjoy this breed of popular music, bands like Emperor, Arcturus, Dimmu Borgir, Axamenta are worth checking out
Interesting what you said about the double bass drumming. You should react to Fleshgod Apocalypse: The Violation. They are an Italian symphonic technical death metal band. Their drummer has intense stamina with awesome speed
bang on. it's all about the placement. live footage of certain acts can be unentolerable if the vocal is too loud. live footage of the Prodigy really hinges on where they've put the vocals in relationship to the music. for a close up on what eye agree to be impossible feets, here is a drum playthrough by Samus of his own take of the astounding Gulag by Devin Townsend (ua-cam.com/video/0y3v1YGoQfY/v-deo.html). you can see it, you can maybe understand it, but you can scarcely believe it.
The Voidz - Human Sadness
Speaking of speedy crazy technical metal drums check out Nils "Dominator" Fjellstrom-Dark Funeral-Vobiscum Satanas (Drumcam), it changed my life. Thanks for great videos also:)
dude, do Bel'akore "from sceptre to scythe." there's nothing else like it!
Please please do Gorod-Transcendence. I think there is just so much for you to pick through. It's a song that has it all. And knowing you are a bass addict, I think it will blow your frikkin mind dude. Lots of love.😎
Kamelot - Memento Mori
Dream Theater - Space Dye Vest
Holy Moly Geebz! you keep doing my favorite bands, love it! (more MUSE please!)
alright so i think u really need to check out 'der weg einer freiheit - letzer sonne' or 'aufbruch' !!!!
if you like crazy drummers try bringer of plagues or facebreaker by divine heresy
Wait what? You still haven't reacted to Pantera Domination? unbelivable!)
how the drummers do that? :D its "Inferno" he´s doin it for over 20 years hes such a beast
Since you look at vocals as instrument and actual lyrics are secondary, it might be interesting to look at Furia - Niezwykła Nieludzka Nieprzyzwoitość.
Try "Daimonos" by Behemoth
Love this.
Please react to some Infant Annihilator
Yes please!
Check out emperor - elegy of icarus.
More bombastic black metal. But with a different feel and vibe.
If you're going to do Behemoth more, listen to "the satanist" from this same album, it's amazing! Ov the fire and the void and Inner sanctum are close favourites of mine. Great video!
While you are at death metal ride here, check out Nile - Unas Slayer Of The Gods.
Composition-wise it's really something and begs for proper analysis.
hey you should check eloy casagrande - means to an end drum cam. he beats the drums insanely hard while still being fast and as clean one can get.
You said nothing about Nergal vocals... What do you thing about them?
Inferno can play up to 300 BPM on his drum kit he’s a monster
