And I've listened a lot of Liszt, Chopin is still better. And accesible to who? To piano beginners? Idk, I don't think you can play any of his polonaises. His music is that good even people who is not into classical love him. Being accesible is not a bad thing at all, and putting it that way, Mozart was waaaaaay more accesible than Chopin, and that doesn't make him bad at all.

    Nice list, with some surprises:
    - Chopin: I would have expected the revolution etude op 10/12 and the heroic polonaise op 53 in the most popular pieces. Also a bit sad that none of the ballades made the list
    - Liszt: Maybe these are his most popular piano pieces, but certainly not his best. The pinnacle of his piano work is the b minor sonata
    - Beethoven: twice the Moonlight and fur Elise. Maybe that’s right in terms of popularity, but Pathetique, Appassionata or Hammerklavier are more significant works
    - pity that no Schubert or Schumann made the list - Wanderer-Fantasy, or Carneval
    - Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky would also seem a red hot favorite
    - Finally, absolutely no Bach? Well tempered piano, Goldberg variations, Italian concerto? Indeed a bit surprised.

Ok, this is a very weird ranking…..2 pieces from Mozart and 2 pieces from Beethoven from the same composition shouldn’t count as 2, but as one. Then, the really most famous piece, at least in the US is not even in this list, which is the Polonaise of Chopin, which was number one at the billboard rankings when the movie based on Chopins life was released. Never again a classical music piece was ranked at Billboard. And that piece has hundreds of millions of views on UA-cam……again, weird ranking…..by the way, 3 of Chopins pieces listed here were not composed by him, and Liebestraum wasn’t composed by Liszt…..I’m a music historian and my expertise is Chopin and Liszt, investigating them for over 35 years…..so…..
