Seriously, same! Growing up I did not like denim so I did not own any jeans. Even till this day, I will wear them, but I’m not a fan of them. Just the sound when you scratch your nails on them, gives me goosebumps and so I would wear any other type of fabric pants to school where I would get bullied by this one girl because I was wearing sweatpants.
This girl I don’t know what I ever did to her but she would bully me because of what I wore to school and this was in seventh and eighth grade and then we ended up in the same high school where she ended up pregnant at 16 and having to go to special classes and I ended up being valedictorian. Karma is real although I will tell you I was nice to her and even bought her baby gifts after the baby was born.

This plus as a poor kid I had no idea others casually owned more than one sweatshirt. I had one and only one for a couple years. It kept me warm. People pointing out that someone wears clothing pieces more than once are so weird. If you own it and you like it you’re gonna wear it over and over again… that’s the point to having it in your closet. Privileged people really don’t like or enjoy their belongings at all- they seem to not see the value in their personal items because they know they can just throw them out and get more. I genuinely feel bad for them, like it’s so sad. They don’t deeply enjoy or care for anything they have… they just take it all for granted.
