I contribute 100% to the Roth 401K. Because my effective tax rate is 19%. That is for the state and federal combined. It has jumped to 22% , when I worked overtime. But I still think that is well worth it! I have been investing in the stock market since early 2000. I am 42 years old now. I could not afford to invest as much money back then , as I can now. But I am so glad that I did! Because being patient and disciplined investing in the stock market pays off! Currently 40% of my entire balance is in Roth through contributions and doing In Plan Roth Rollovers. My goal is to have at least 75% my entire account balance in Roth.

Roth is the way to go for sure especially with the uncertainty of the government and how they could raise more taxes in the future. Well done!

Me and my wife both max out ROTH 401k. To balance the taxes we both max out traditional 457b.

Isn’t it a given since you don’t pay Capital gains on the ROTH?

When I leave my job with ROTH 401K, can I roll the funds into my personal ROTH IRA without limitation?
