Best review of Scala on the internet so far, thank you it was helpful :-) i already bought Scala Monte Carlo 1,5 TSI Dsg and its awesome mid size family car.
Just looking for a new car at the moment and I really loved this review. Everything I was looking for further information of you covered it, and did so with humour and straight forward no nonsense chat. Nice one.
I appreciate your efforts. I'm in rural Australia, 140 minutes drive to my nearest Skoda dealer, so this answers many a question. Plus there's a dearth of cars for sale at the moment. Three Golfs available between the nearest two dealers. Three! Good, detailed review. Thanks.
Great review, really like the video. Nice to get some chuckles for some of the comments. I really like the Skoda Scala and I'm waiting to own one soon, though it's been a bit delayed because of the component shortage and high demand.
Nice review thank you. Just a point to say that you shouldn't focus too much on what the SEL trim gives you as that bit is entirely skipable for anybody who is getting the S, SE or MonteC trims. Also the lane-assist setting that you turned off is reset after every ignition.
in the 1930s, Skoda made some very nice cars indeed for the time and even had a good reputation for racing and rallying. They also built the chassis and engines for the Hispano-Suiza, a competitor for Rolls Royce in the European luxury car sector. After the war, during the communist era, Skoda were forced to build more utilitarian vehicles, but even their rather old fashioned cars in the 1970s and 80s managed to win their class in the RAC Rally 19 years in a row, despite all the silly jokes! After 1990 they were taken over by VW and the rest is history!.
I've driven almost 340000km with Ford Focus II. Now trying to choose a new car, I am confused, trying to find something similar from the point of view of qualities balance. And it seems that Scala is worth to be in the list. I will definitely test it. Thank you for your great and informative review! By the way - if a Black Dog crossing the way, it is just a sign that the time is to listen to Led Zeppelin )
Actually sorry but you are wrong about the original Skodas for many people they were great cars and actually very reliable hence there fantastic rally history.
most honest mpg data. however, car mpg trips are normally inaccurate and are out at around 10-15%. with that the actual figures from skoda on mpg they gave to you, are almost true and can be believed.
Great review. I have some thoughts about historical lesson. Skoda and Tatra did one of the best cars in the world before war (like Tatra 603 from 1955 or Skoda Popular - 1936). The reason the quality was so poor was because of communism. They just lost track about technological progress and screwed whole country. You can easily compare evolution of Skoda with another car company with Czech rootes... Porsche. 😃
Great car aj have an Audi q3 black edition no spare wheel twice the price ahhhh ! Great price for what you get makes you think Do you want to be paying such a high cost for a car
Thank you for a great review. We all know Scala to be a very practical compact so why the heck does Škoda insist that the Octavia is a compact as well. Their desire to win comparison tests is simply too clever. Will they continue the game as long as the Octavia is shorter than a bus?
No, it says to me that the person who has chosen this car, is someone who has good common sense and recognises outstanding value when they see it. Someone who wants a reliable, practical and safe car and with any new skoda, thats exactly what you get!!!!!
Sensible review for a change. No throwing large water bottles in doors or poking sticks in fake exhausts. Well done.
Thanks for the comment

After a year, could you tell us do you find MC trim to be too rigid and did you had a wish that scala is a bit more wide, more like octavia?
This was the short version of OSV 1 hour videos but with none of the boring-ness. Top notch Stuff!!

I drive Skoda Scala. And with amusement I look at people in much more expensive crossovers whose trunk could fit in my door pocket :)

Scala means ladder or stairs rather than step.
Man, you should do you own top gear
Yeah, really good review. It´s funny to see you sitting on the wrong side of the car... ;-D

Scala it's not a compact car! Compare it with Polo!
BMW or Volkswagen?
BMW or Audi A3. It also looks like an Audi A3.
yet, you pay £180 every year instead of paying £0, £20 or £35
Making guns weren't we all
YOU LOVE A WHAT !!!?????
History gibberish.
That car says to me but the person who chose it either has given up, or simply knows nothing about cars.
