Dont worry for us it's almost the same when we wanna understand an english conversation Sometimes I cant catch everything because of the accent, the speed way they talk to, and slang words, so it is all about the practice, we make mistakes though, keep on practicing, grettings
According to some, listening to slow Spanish actually sort of hinders the learning experience. I disagree but then I do agree. I feel like it’s important to gain the fundamentals, but then eventually you’ll have to get accustomed to listening and speaking faster. And tbh, I feel like the rate a speaker speaks of any language depends a lot on the individual, situation ,emotion, etc. I notice within English you have people that speak super fast, some in between, and then slow. Also not to mention that accents play a huge role in how you can understand and hear the words being spoken. For example, just like there are tons of English accents so are there of course in Spanish. And in general some accents are going to be clearer than others. Some people say the Southern accent can be a little hard to understand depending on how deep you are in the south, and that comes from fellow English speakers lol. In Spanish I’ve heard that the Dominican accent and pace is really fast. I’ve gone into a whole paragraph here lol, but to conclude, I do believe that it doesn’t matter if you learn Spanish listening to it fast, or slow. As long as you grasp the sounds, pronunciations, rules, etc, then you should be fine. :)
I remember when I first watched this video I really needed the subtitles. Now I can watch all the Buena gente series without subtitles and understand them 😊
Hola! Correct me if I'm wrong. You said, you love the series? It's very funny how native speakers see this? Speaking super slow and clear. Good way to understand spanish? Are these correct? Because I've been learning spanish for 7 hours now. 😅
si porque quando los native speakers hablar en espanol, es demasiado rapido por una persona como mi para comprender, que solo entiendo un poco de espanol. Disculpa mi espanol, esporo que vosotros puedemos entiender que yo dijo.
All the research shows that slow speech helps language learning. That's why it is natural to ask native speakers to speak more slowly, regardless of which language you're learning. Thanks for your comment and good luck!
@@Busterpeek21 So true!! Language learning is a slow process but stick with it....you will see progress. That's good to hear! Seasons 2 and 3 of Buena gente should be a good fit too. You might like some of our new video stories. There are versions in the present and past tenses, and the response has been really positive.
Yes, that is definitely part of learning. It takes time to process what we hear in a new language. Things you have been exposed to over and over, like ¿Cómo estás? are probably clear at a much faster speed. You don't have to think about what it means. We're glad the videos are helpful!

I randomly came back to this series yesterday and watched all 6 episodes and understood everything with ease. Its crazy to think this used to give me trouble. STAY CONSISTENT guys. I'm understanding it better each time I've gone through, but I thought I'd have an easier time with my listening skills by now. I go through each video with Spanish subtitles on since I still have trouble in some spots, then I go through each one without the subtitles, trying my best to understand everything.

THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDERFUL SERIES! I finished learning Italian am at intermediate level i would guess- still going towards fluency. BUT, now with learning Spanish I am using a different approach they call "the natural way" which is similar to how a child learns. And, at the beginning, I am not going to memorize grammer rules, etc. So, these videos are great.
Thanks so much for you comment. It's true that the best way to learn language is by being exposed to comprehensible input. The "comprehensible" part is important - the language has to be in contexts where the meaning is clear. All our videos should help you out with that. There is plenty of time to overlay grammar rules later, when you have mastered some basic structures and vocabulary. Good luck!
Thank you very much. This serie will help me a lot. When i search for Spanish teaching series, they're in a higher level and I can't understand :( but this is perfecttt ❤️
@@Sk8erBhai yeah right but maybe in english, do we find it easy cuz we're used to a few words that has only one meaning or exact synonymous for that word, but in spanish i guess a lot of words same maybe, but with different meanings and it's spelling was a lot longer than in english just my opinion cuz right now, I'm self studying spanish language becoz it was such an amazing language.... I love the Mexican accent cuz I understand a little bit of it....hope I'll be able to speak and used it.🥰🥰

It takes time. Hang in there!
I am so happy to find this film. The speed is just right for beginner like me. Muy gracias!
We're glad to hear that the series is helpful! Thanks for your feedback.
Good luck!
These series are very helpful for the beginners. Thank you for spending your time to help others.
Glad you like them!

Because we love your language? Haha i am fond of watching spanish series on Netflix. I am self studying Spanish.
ingles grammar es mas simple que el espanol
All languages have their difficulties, but they are all worth learning!
@@alyssajanealcala1837 Me too. Big fan of Elite & La Casa De Papel.

Very good! Remember: You can speak WELL quickly and short if you know (!) the long from which you produce a short.
Long - > Short
Any spoken language is produced by .... muscles!!!! Train theses with slow, long and difficult phrases!
Good idea! In general videos are more for listening comprehension, but you're right that you can train muscles by repeating what you hear.
