I've had this idea for several years now. My take on it is to make the paddle wheels more rigid with a circular outer rim with rubber riveted around it. Then put a crazy wheel on the front that flips up and down like a trolling motor. That way you can just flip the front wheel down and drive it right up the boat ramp , load it on a flatbed trailer, etc.
First of all that's Awesome ! Secondly it's one Hell of a design too. It's quite and VERYA smooth running too. Sir, you've got yourself one Hell of an Amazing Jon Boat there.
Last night I had a dream that I had this idea last night, and my dad and I built one, with a little 12 or 14 foot v bottom aluminum row boat. woke up and had to search to see if it has been done. Very cool.
holy dann boys!!! cool as hell...now imagine, if you will, a TransStar as a power supply...on a party barge...with the flapper stacks...danm...I need money...
if I could find a cheap zero turn (probably one that had the mowing deck rot out) this would be a fun thing to build. You could do it with a standard riding mower, but you'd need to weld the diff, add a rudder and you'd have a clutch to deal with. Those are negatives, but a riding mower can be found for as little as $50 in the off season.
Hello Sir , maybe completely cover paddles housing have front outlet and rear outlet, like a large pvc in back smaller diameter pvc pipe up front , would give you more concentrated thrust, very cool design!

Gotta love the Poppin Johnny sound
Well done!
Love it - If the Canopy was the thin flexible solar panels the motor/paddles could be electric bike wheels - it would be nice and quiet
Nice work! Love the boat!

Awesome, just keep clear of big wake!! Nice weed cutter too.

Still running the paddle boat?
One man's junk, is another man's paddle boat
Nice
Needs steam power.
yes it is!
Little bit more design and ingenuity you can make yourself in amphibious craft
very cool!
Way cool.
It's OK, but what would make it cool would be a steam engine.
uhhh bruh a paddle boat has paddles to turn XD so it'll be a engine boat XD
The term is paddlewheel boat
put a tire on the front and drive it home.,lol
Floor it!
