Stocking reservations changed last week, another Genie+ update. Now you can only book if the availability of the attraction says from 2pm onwards, before the system automatically adjusted the time for 2pm. Example in MK: you would like to book Jungle cruise at 7am, now you have to wait I don't know how long to make that reservation because until they put 2pm you can do it. With this the reservation times are slower, before Jungle cruise and Peter Pan they were over very fast now not anymore, it even depends on the attraction you want to do first you have to wait around 10:30am or more to make the first reservation (Imagine the 120 min rule), or maybe choose one that you don't really like just so you don't lose those first 120 min after the park opens. With this change, the most demanded attractions are available for a longer time, but now the number of reservations that can be made during the day decreases.
Going to MK next July, I know its the only time we could go ugh! We are going in morning but do you know if we leave mid day to go to our condo in Kissimmee , can you keep stacking out of the park for later times for when we go back around 6 pm? I can't seem to find anything on the Disney website about leaving the park. Just wondering if once you leave the Disney resort if it still works? And if you return later It still works?
There is no problem leaving the park at an hour and returning later as long as there is availability to enter, now Disney is guided in the capacity in the afternoon/evening according to actually Park Hopper rules (after 2pm+park capacity), even if you already have a park reservation. I had a similar question (leave MK to go to Epcot for about 3-4 hours and come back), I wrote to customer service and that's what they answered me. Since your trip is almost 1 year away, the situation may change, but at the moment it is like that. I went this May “low season" and I had no problems, but July is high season I wouldn't know how easy it would be to do that.
