Yes, as others say: part of a trilogy. In Daechwita, Agust D destroys the old part of him that became greedy and arrogant; in this one, he is destroying his newer self again who again became corrupted. He's also telling how some people don't think for themselves if they are only getting information from the internet, for example. In "Amygdala" (part 3), another extremely powerful MV (warning box on it before you watch it), he explores the trauma that caused his behaviors and tries to recover. The amygdala is the part of the brain that "remembers" past traumas and tries to warn us if something similar is happening again. This a stunning set of performances that are top tier in production, music, lyrics, acting...breathtaking. Taken together they confirm we are dealing with a genius in Agust D. And, as you start through BTS content, you have already figured out what I believe to be true. Seven young men were chosen for BTS by Bang PD and now we find that he chose 7 geniuses. Their talents are still developing and it seems every production is more amazing than the last. The fact that they remain humble and kind and level-headed is unbelievable. Thanks for your reaction. 💜

There are two meanings of Heageum. One is the instrument used in the song, and the other is the lifting of a band, which is also part of the song meaning. This is part of a 6 is first, then Heageum and Amygdala. Yoongi always has the best mvs
You could watch the first song of the trilogy: Daechwita. Haegeum is the second one; and Amygdala is the last one. AGUST D is perfect. His lyrics are always about feelings, emotions, past struggles, future, hope and things like that. Snooze is another amazing song.
Haegeum (해금) has two meanings: a two-stringed instrument used in traditional Korean music and "lifting a ban." In traditional Chinese music there's an instrument similar to haegeum called erhu. When you look at the lyrics, Agust D talks about what's forbidden in society (e.g. freedom of thought, freedom of imagination) and how his song is lifting these restrictions. I like your take on the song’s meaning. Definitely the need to focus back on the important things rather than the “tsunami” of distractions and fabricated controversies is one of the main themes. A “slang” meaning for haegeum is “to lift a ban/prohibition” so the underlying theme of the song is liberation from the things that keep us both enslaved and enslaving others (greed, envy, anger, materialism, judgement, censorship, etc.). Great reaction. Each of these artists is a gem.
Caio... você ainda vai descobrir muitas coisas surpreendentes sobre os talentos dos meninos. Suga tem musicas lindíssimas, com letras muito profundas e uma história de vida inspiradora. Essa música, "Haegeum" faz parte de uma trilogia (é a segunda musica dessa trilogia), a primeira é "Deachwita" e a terceira é "Amygdala". Essa trilogia fala da criação do alter ego do Suga "Agust D", caracterizado por uma cicatriz no olho direito. Esse alter ego foi criado para que Suga pudesse responder aos haters à altura. Como Suga, no BTS, não poderia dizer o que ele queria, então criou um personagem que o possibilitava ser mais direto, sem filtros em suas respostas. Agust D possibilitou a Suga se livrar de sentimentos que o incomodavam.
Em "Deachwita" ele apresenta um conflito interno entre as facetas de Agust D, o mais "pé no chão" e o que experimenta a glória de um rei, e há um conflito entre essas duas personalidades do alter ego dele. Vale muito a pena vc conferir!
Em "Haegeum" esse conflito é entre Suga e Agust D. Perceba que somente um deles tem a cicatriz no rosto. E a palavra "Haegeum" tem dois significados, o instrumento, que vc viu e também significa "algo que precisa ser liberado, permitido". E acontece a morte de Agust D. Num processo de libertação de Suga.
Em "Amygdala" Suga conta sua história, fala das memórias, traumas e dificuldades que viveu ao longo da vida. E mostra claramente o surgimento de Agust D, criado a partir de seus traumas e angústias. Mostra, inclusive o acidente de moto que ele sofreu quando ainda era trainee e precisou de um trabalho paralelo para ajudar sua família que passava por dificuldades financeiras. Nesse acidente ele lesionou o ombro esquerdo e precisou esconder de todos, por anos, porque essa atividade não era permitida. Ele sofreu com as dores, tomando remédios sem acompanhamento médico até que, por não suportar mais, revelou à empresa o que tinha acontecido. Em 2020 fez a cirurgia de correção e ficou bem. Esse afastamento dele, para a cirurgia, nos rendeu imagens lindas de apoio, companheirismo e respeito dos meninos, pois em todas as apresentações ou poses para fotos eles evidenciavam o lugar do Suga vazio, deixando bem claro que eles eram 7 e que ele não era esquecido ou ignorado. Lindo demais!!!!

As others have noted, this is the second in a trilogy. The story is connected to his own life.
And what makes him a genius is that the story of this trilogy is completed on the last day of his solo tour.
On the last day he completes his first chapter as an artist, and the next day he announces his enlistment.
Now, Haegeum's explanation video includes a connection to the first song in the trilogy, Deachwita.
Perhaps this is a bit of a spoiler.

O Suga tem um documentário na disney+ que é bastante informativo sobre todo o álbum d-day, ele fala que haegeum foi feita porque ele não entende a causa das pessoas julgarem ele, um cara com mais de 30 anos, não poder fazer coisas que pessoas normais fazem ( no documentário ele dá o exemplo do julgamento que recebeu por fumar).
Ele trouxe a representação de coisas que são de fato erradas em comparação a uma pequena cena dele fumando e o que parecia ser certo ( o policial) que no final se mostrou errado. Ele cita coisas como a sua liberdade de expressão que pode ser a causa da morte de alguém, e sobre a relativização do certo e do errado quando convém.

Não é a toa que eles são os maiores. Eles abriram novas portas pro kpop em geral e reinventaram o conceito de "clip musical" no caso agora os MV's. Fora que a maioria dos grupos de kpop hj reconhecem o tamanho deles como artistas. O caminho não foi fácil e ainda não é, mais eles fizeram história e ainda fazem, tanto solo como em grupo são sucesso e não é só pelo talento, é pq são pessoas admiráveis demais.

This is why I am OT7 cause they are the 7 so talented with so many qualities that it is so hard to have a "Bias" a favorite, For me the 7 are extraordinary and together they are magic. The surface-level storyline I heard was that Suga the thief was really a good guy breaking up a corrupt gang run the crooked cop Suga. The guy on the phone at the beginning was calling the cop Suga but that guy was on Suga’s side which is why Suga gave him a nod as he went by and the guy didn’t get beat up. It was a setup to trap the corrupt cop. That’s why Suga was friendly with the guys who we thought worked for the cop, and who gave Suga the gun, and a lift to the noodle shop.

Haegeum used to represent lifting of pointless laws or bans. Two strings mirrors the dual personalities that Agust D has in each of the songs of his history making brilliant trilogy. Which may eventually be equalled but never bettered. My interpretation of the meanings. Yoongi discusses the conflict he struggled with in his life. ...
1. Daechwita. This is proffessional struggles. We know this because it describes his rise to fame and there is mention of and a copy of JKs cartoon of BANG PD. So the abusive mad king Suga in the Palace. He represents both the industry old guard literally standing on the backs of the people. Chopping off the heads of anyone who complains or disagrees or stands up to the system. The establishment that gave industry outsiders such a terrible time and still do but ARMY protects BTS. In the MV street Suga uses his beat to raise the people( ARMY) who support him in overthrowing the mad King. In an interview Suga said that the mad King also represents the ambition and anger of his youth. It is quite clear Suga has chosen the side of the people, not the establishment that tried to bind him and silence him.
2. HAEGEUM This time Suga is discussing society. The two Sugas are the corrupt cop and the Street thug. Control and Anarchy. Its clear from the lyrics that though Suga does not agree with stupid laws and restrictions he is wary of the damage anarchy can bring. He shows us anarchy looks like fun but we are always slaves of the society we live in, so anarchy may look like freedom but it isn't. In the final scene we see him hanging out of the cop car like The Joker but when he breaks the 4th wall and looks at us, he asks us. Do you understand what you have witnessed. I am not the hero here, even though I killed the bad guy( for in Joker the hero is Batman).
AMYGDALA the last and most emotional of the trilogy. With each song we have come closer and closer to the heart of Suga. Here we see his identity past and present Suga and Min Yoongi. Made art by by the artist Agust D. He lays it all on the line.... his trauma, the physical pain that he suffered because of his shoulder pain caused by yhe bike accident. The emotional pain and depression and anxiety. Both needing medication. Suga has worked so hard on himself that he finally was able to take the past out and look at it, but he did not finally go through the white door until the close of his final concert before enlistment.
This trilogy is a work of unparalleled genius. When uou have seen them all watch them straight through. Then you will see why in recent years at award shows all idols acknowledge Suga.

Rather than jumping into anime perhaps jump into BTS fictional story line, Bangtan Universe. It starts with songs and there is a webtoon called Save Me, notebooks, mobile game etc. The webtoon may be a gentle way into anime. The BTS webtoon Chakho 7 fates has an amazing story too.
