I love that you you reacted to the MV first. Lot of reactors forget this masterpiece of a MV because of the kinetic manifesto. Not saying that the kinetic manifesto is bad, the choreography, the energy, the scenary and our most importantly boys look super impressive in it too. But I LOVE the MV.

BTS used Carl Jung's analytical psychology to write the lyrics and make the official MV. It talks about accepting our shadows, which are those repressed parts of us. We can only evolve when we truly accept these repressed parts of ourselves. That's why the lyrics say "leave me with my everything" Only when we accept everything that is part of us can we find peace.
By the way, the drums announce. the battle that will be faced... just as it was in the Middle Ages that soldiers were warned to prepare for battle with drums...But in this case, in this song, it is our internal battle, the battle of acceptance of us as a whole.

At this point (2020) they had already been together for 7 years, and this was the lead single for their Map of the Soul 7 album, so they reflected on all the harships (shadows) that they had to face until that point, and despite how difficult things always been for them, they already knew they could overcome anything, so yeah, bring the pain, we can handle it! My fierce kings!!!
Two official MVs of the same song that are so different from each other. This one is beautifully done and includes so many symbols that most people don't catch them all. The other MV is the ON Kinetic Manifesto Film. It's my favorite and you'll also enjoy the choreo and how well BTS and the backup dancers perform. I'm glad you reacted to ON! I hope you also watch the making of this MV. They also have an amazing and creative staff and crew. Both MVS were shot outside in such different settings. 💜
You need to look at the video of behind the scenes. You will see most of this MV was filmed outdoors and edited in the studio... Your doing a great job keep BTS 💜 shinning on .
Everything BTS does is done to the very best of their ability. They never shortcut anything. Hard work plus genius equals truly deep art.
There’s a lot of Biblical/religious references in this MV! Things such as the Dove probably being the Holy Spirit, 5:42 V in a crucified position similar to Jesus on the Cross, along with a girl probably symbolizing Mary Magdalene, a witness during Jesus’ crucifixion and the first to see Him resurrected, Noah’s Ark, as well as Jungkook having his hands tied with thorns, similar to how Jesus wore a crown of thorns as he was carrying His cross, and also baptism at 15:52

I think you have described perfectly how and why BTS has the reach that they have. On the surface their songs are catchy and they are nice looking people, but their song lyrics and videos enable more depth of thought about their message, and then on top of that, they make you relate and think about yourself. When BTS say ARMYs are smart and ARMYs say that BTS saved them, it is not just meaningless craziness, but truth. Actually the other official MV (On Kinetic Manifesto Film) for this song was the one that turned me into hardcore ARMY. It has some of their best choreo. On Kinetic Manifesto Film is usually the one recommended by ARMY.

entendo super o q voce diz!! acompanho os meninos há 9 anos e fez 9 e 6 meses agora dia 22 e eu literalmente cresci com eles, pude acompanhar a evolução, e as dores que eles passaram ao longo dos anos, e digo que tudo que eu faço hoje em dia é inspirado nesses homens, eles são uma grande fonte de energia pra mim.. espero ansiosamente pelo o dia que você vai começar a reagir ao "run bts" um show de jogos e diversão que eles criaram, se você já sente feliz demais ao ouvir as músicas, com a quantia de run que você vai vendo, você começa a se apegar tanto a eles!! :p

I’m a subscriber and have “like”d all your BTS videos and will do my part to improve the algorithms for you. Just to let you know I can’t see the recommended video you said that would be at the top right hand corner for us to click and watch again. Btw, kudos on recognising right away Jin and Jungkook at the start of the MV…… remember how you were trying at the start of this BTS “journey” to make out who’s who…. I’m enjoying your reactions, seeing through your eyes aspects I’ve missed. While I truly admire their artistic talent and stamina, through the years of hardship from teens to adults, it is how they still remain the same humble polite decent human beings today.

Essa música foi a música q me tornou Army. Eu ja conhecia e gostava de algumas músicas deles, mas essa música, em 2020, veio numa época bem difícil e cansativa na minha vida, então me pegou de jeito! Amo demais! Principalmente o Kinect Manifesto version.
Outra coisa, outros canais de react, pra monetizar, costumam parar de tantos em tantos segundos, ou colocar alguma marca transparente em cima do vídeo.

Возможно, тебе захочется посмотреть закулисные видео, там иногда объясняется больше, чем в самом MV, помимо того, что можно увидеть сам процесс съёмок.
P.S. Я не понимаю, почему люди упорно продолжают говорить, что BTS не используют зелёный экран, хотя местами его использование совершенно очевидно, да даже на некоторых закулисных видео он виден чётко и ясно. Другое дело, что его не так много, как могло бы быть, и ребята снимаются в реальных местах, всего лишь дорабатывая некоторые эффекты, а не рисуя всё полностью в закрытой студии.

You became one of my favorite BTS reactors really quick, I really get the feeling that you are genuine and really interested in BTS. But personally I would love if you watch the video first without pausing so much and just concentrate on the vocals, rap and the song itself. After that you could watch it again and analyze the lyrics and meaning. I feel like you miss the song because you are too focused on all the other things. Thank you for reacting to BTS! 💜
I think he doesn't want to listen to the song twice because the video becomes longer and it takes more time to edit, but I know what you mean. Also being a singer/musician himself, he may be able to understand the song better than we think even with all the pauses

Believe me, I tried watch first and then go back to analyse. But in the case of BTS, there are so many interesting things going on since the begining of their lyrics or mv’s that I just cant help myself but pause it. 😂😂

I do understand better when I pause it to analyse… so when I listen for the second time I can enjoybeverything.. the song and the meaning of it… wich is the most important thing in every music to me … the meaning.

E sim, eles usam bastante green screen agora que tem dinheiro pra isso, mas ainda assim tem bastante efeitos práticos, mas esse mv em particular é bem trabalhado digitalmente, mas eles construíram algumas coisas e algumas incrementações de locações foram adicionadas digitalemnte tb. Alguns dos animais com o Namjoon estavam lá de vdd. Ele postou uma foto com uma lhama, ou alpaca, sei lá qual. Mas vc vai ver mto army dizendo o contrário, alguns simplesmente não gstam de admitir que usam tela verde, msm quase todos os mvs tendo um making off que mostra exatamente o que é real e o que é digital, parece esses someliers de efeitos que tem pra filmes hj em dia, como se fosse um crime usar cgi 😅
Aliás, o mahing off desse mv e de My Universe com o Coldplay são os que eu mais gosto. O de MU em particular é um mini documentário mto bom. aconselho, se vc se interessar por essa parte
E pra vc entender o contexto de sombras, não apenas nessa música, mas em todo album Map of the Soul: 7 (MOTS7 para os íntimos), eu te aconselharia a ver o MV Interlude: Shadow. É um solo do Yoongi (Suga/AgustD). Mas vc está fundamentalmente certo nas suas interpretações. Persona, Ego (solo do jhope) e Shadow são basicamente uma trilogia que meio que explica o conceito da era Map Of The Soul. É tudo sobre o autoconhecimento, aceitação e superação
