Yoongi is a master in telling his story. After ridding himself of the need to prove his worth to others (daechwita) and the confines of modern society (Haegum) he investigates the inner demons and trauma that started his confinement in the first place. A truly brave man who i have nothing but respect for.
I will forever feel thankful to him, for being comfortable enough to share his deepest secrets with us. It takes a tremendous amount of courage, and trust in the people around you.
The thing with being the biggest group in the world and putting this vulnerable stuff out, is that you know, the whole time you're working on it, that you are already the biggest target for hate, ridicule, and condemnation... And he released it anyway. He's among the very strongest, most courageous men I know.
Yoongi is one of the few artists who’s lyrics I can feel regardless of language. His lyrics are incredibly powerful, it’s so impressive. I feel like writing lyrics is his therapy , it’s so raw, I love that he chooses to share this with all of us.
As someone who went through traumatic events in my past, but is now doing fairly well for myself, I couldn't ask for a more encouraging and validating album. I, too, am in my 30s and finally have the conviction to make a stand against my past selves. These scared versions inside of me have tormented me for all of my younger years, making me to question and doubt every decision I make. I can proudly say that I've come so far on my journey towards inner healing, making so many breakthroughs and finally feeling some semblance of peace with myself. This album was the nail in the coffin for those past selves. I cannot express how thankful I am for the bravery of Min Yoongi. He handed me the weapons I needed to take care of those past selves and I also grin at their demise. My greatest compliment I've ever received was my bf listening to Haegeum with me and saying "Why does it sound like you wrote these lyrics?". It's because BTS loves us and wants to raise us up as much as they expect of themselves. I'm here for it because that's what it takes to become Bulletproof. Thank you for your reaction, Dezzy. I sounds like you're going through some difficult times and I hope you can also find peace in your universe. Reach out if you need it to whomever you trust. I promise it's easier that way.
BTS chapter 2 has been a breath of fresh air from our guys. They have shared their struggles with trauma, depression, dealing with fame and so much more with absolute honesty. They have held nothing back and it makes them even more relatable to us. Many of us have walked down some of those paths and they are painful. Music like this, along with songs like lonely, wild flower, face off and alone make me personally feel like somebody understands some of my struggles and that is a powerful thing. There isn't anyone else like them out there. Yoongi's album is genius just like him and I truly appreciate him having the courage to release Amygdala.
Amygdala has been the most emotionally overpowering song I have heard in a good while. I cried the first time I saw the MV and I'm tearing up every time I'm seeing it. Yoongi is one of the biggest musicians of our time and one of the bravest and most honest artists. It takes a lot for someone to expose themeselves in that way, and you must understand this better than any of us being a musician yourself. The whole album feels like his diary and I am so thankful to be able to experience life with an artist like him in my lifetime. I feel the same way about Namjoon and Hobi and the rest of the guys for the musicians and humans they are and what the represent. They are just so important. They really are my forever artist. I love your reactions, so I hope I get to see more of you. Thank you 💜 P.S.: I'm still so mad I couldn't get tickets to his concert, which I've seen is epic. Yoongi on a solo tour is such a vibe.
I honestly cried. The bravery to not give up is insane. There's only one Min Yoongi and I'm so glad I'm alive to witness him inspire and share joy with everyone he meets 💜
The bravery to show us his most vulnerable moments is triggering, relatable, inspiring, and comforting all at once. Serious musical genius add in the lyrics and his ability for visual story telling and he’s just my top. Hugs to those that need it after this.
Our Yoongi definitely is not the AVERAGE artist. I’m so proud of his achievements and ability to grow and share himself with the world. I saw these videos and knew I had to see him live. I was fortunate to get tickets for Oakland. I will be jumping & have tears in my eyes like you mentioned. 💜💜💜💜
My take on the almonds. 1. Amygdala in latin means almond, in greek it was ἀμυγδάλη (amugdálē), as these two clusters of nuclei in the brain have the shape and size of almonds they were named amygdala. 2. in the book Almond the boy's mother gives him almonds to eat because she thought it would help him develop his amygdala, finally letting him feel things. 3. The Last - Agust D, here Yoongi mentions that he went to a psychiatrist back when he was around 18, he assisted with his parents, the doctor in that track asks "have you ever been (censored)?" (we infer that he refers to being su!cidal, or if he has thought of hurting himself or others, bcs if you have any experience with mental health professionals this is one of the first things they ask you), he says "I answer without any hesitation that I have". Once you say these words to a psychiatrist, they usually prescribe you medication. So the pills that you see in the MV are a reference to that. Now, why use the pills and almonds interchangably? Because while the almonds in "Almond" were used to try and make the boy feel something, pills are usually used to regulate your emotions and make you feel less, but also, as amygdala means almond, we can also take it to mean that Yoongi is consuming "amygdala" after "amygdala" trying to try and fix his own which is hyperactive. The song destroyed me, but the MV completely shattered me. I've had a rough life, Yoongi is the one who I relate to the most because of it, he, in some way or another, always manages to heal a part of me with every album, song he makes.
When I say Yoongi is my life coach I really mean it, cuz I always learn a lot from him. Amygdala is my favorite song in the album and I'm so proud of Yoongi for being so vulnerable and transparent in telling his story like that not only through this song but also through this mv, like he really didn't need to go this far but wanted it to! He's the strongest and bravest artist I've ever had the pleasure to be a fan of.
That's why I love Yoongi, him being so real as an artist. He is not afraid to show exactly who he is, he wants to motivate and encourage people who are experiencing pain like he does. He is such an amazing person. We are lucky to know this person. I always cry thinking what he have been through and some people just judge him so easily. No matter what we are going through right now, find the courage to continue and fight 💜
I'm going to the Oakland, CA concert on May 16, 2023. I can't wait. I'm taking my daughter, she isn't an ARMY like me, but she likes Agust D. It will be a blast. This song was the hardest for him to write. I cried my eyes out. Yoongi is a special kind of human.
Yoongi isn't afraid to share his pain with us. He wants people to understand that yes he's an Idol but he suffers and has suffered just like us. AMYGDALA really let people in his past and his emotions. He's one of the most real musicians and I love him for that.
INFJ-A here. I get every single word. I cried my eyes out... for him, for myself, for those hurting. Mr. Min Yoongi helping us release pain by addressing and transforming it.
❣Agust’D, but even as Suga, Yoongi did this always confronting himself, inner thoughts and feelings, since the very beginning. If you listen or rather read lyrics to songs like Nevermind, or Tomorrow, some part of writing was even pre-debut, and especially songs like The Last from his first mixtape Agust’D. Also So Far Away. Also in his song as Suga First Love he mentions the scooter accident where he injured his shoulder. I suggest you listen or if you have relisten to this as well as other of his songs. But he’s always confronting himself. Many not only same themes being repeated but even same lyrics, Since the first mixtape Agust’D was the first time he really went even deeper, talking about many things that is actually forbidden to in Korean society at least in past, let alone thought or attempting suicide, he put it all out there, back then, even literally breaking down in tears while recording. Don’t know if this is end of Agust’D, but end of being haunted by his past and questioning himself about staying on right paths avoiding possible corruption that at times comes with success. But I believe Agust’D will always be needed because Yoongi even said himself way back, somebody needs to speak up about injustices in the world!
i somehow can't find myself to watch amygdala on my own, after i watched it the first time. i just can't, he's so strong and brave for putting out such a tragic yet beautiful song
I’m seeing him in LA on 5/11 and I was already excited now after the album I’m extremely excited for this concert. This entire album is a masterpiece 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I'm so blown away by this album I've been journaling each song & video, if there is one. JOURNALING. I have so many thoughts, and his messages are hitting me so hard at this moment in my life. Bruh. It's a lot. I'm so broken-hearted I can't see this show live. 😣
😂 "What the art?" Brilliant. The 3rd song in the trilogy is actually D-Day according to him on a recent live. Amygdala is raw. Based on his real life.😪 I love Suga, too. Love all the BTS guys. They have something say and stand for something. 😘💜🫰🏻 INFP and a stubborn ass Taurus too. Happy Birthday soon.
He’s truly an ARTIST. Rapper, producer, singer, songwriter, actor… and does it all well. Daechwita was my favorite mv and he even outdid himself with Haegum. You know you’re truly a great when your competition is yourself. And he’s REAL being vulnerable talking his truth, deep work not nonsense trash music.
SUGA= rapper, singer, dancer, producer, Director, and actor ...plus more! This man is a genius. He's deep into his thoughts. Bringing us into them is therapy. Love this guy
I have always been a huge Agus D fan although I’m not a fan of his group; He should win all kinds of avant-garde awards for these songs & their videos.
I just saw him yesterday 4/29 at the Prucenter in NJ. He was phenomenal. His performance was incredible. And Jimin was there and waved hello to the crowd. I’ve been going to concerts since the 1970s, yes I’m old, and this is one of the best.👏🏾👏🏾🔥
Amygdala was so hard to watch. I didn’t know I could have more love and respect for Yoongi than I already do. He is, along with the other BTS members, my safe place, my comfort person. They make me feel seen and loved and inspired. I’m in Long Island, NY at my grandparents’ house getting ready to drive to UBS Arena right now to see him.
Seeing him lying on the floor so defeated broke me. The only way I can watch this video is with the knowledge that he walked through the door at his concert. I've watched so many reactions to this, and this is the best one. Like you really understand what he was trying to say. He's incredibly brave for having the courage to share his story, and i feel so honored that he chose to do so. Yoongi is a musical genius. Truly brilliant.
I'm just proud of him and the way he has grown since we were 1st introduced to him. He kept everything close to the vest and he has totally opened up and really set his sites on not only surviving, but educating. Having his own platform is something unimaginable before. This man is inspiring and to think, he's just 1 of 7 phenomenons, unselfishly giving back to those open-minded enough to accept them...and those whom stand unwilling all the same. Wishing you the best Dezzy on all phases of your life. 💜
Suga truly has an amazing storytelling talent. He often says he didn't want to be a dancer or actor; but he has excelled in both. I love his personal share to the world.
Only yoongi can make me go absolute crazy to his lyrics and beats then literally have me (ugly) crying to the next with his lyrics visuals and pure vulnerability and honesty ...this is what separates top tier from GOD tier❤❤
All I can say is he is a genius and we are so lucky to have him reveal him self. Amygdala especially after past week or two it’s like a lot of us needed to hear it. I don’t know that he was going to do a MV but I’m glad he did.
Your reaction to Amygdala was the same I had except with a LOT Of tears. Like, that's so fuckin' rough to even contemplate - I can't imagine telling MILLIONS about it. It's so wild and the reason why I stan Yoongi even MORE.
Ima see yung yoon and Jackson back to back in may I’m so hype I love how haegum is like daechwita p.2 and amygdala is reminiscent of the last which is one of his most profound and personal songs in his whole catalogue in my opinion the way the beat start it sound nostalgic for some reason to me he’s so raw and prolific in so amazed by him
Suga has been through so much. He danced and trained for so many years with that busted shoulder. Suffering daily. But he has depression, ocd and social anxiety so he fights these things all the time. Accident happened while he was training, and he didn’t tell the company because he was afraid he’d get kicked out. And he worried how he would be able to pay for school or help his family .
I cried. It really touched me. Yes, he is different. He's one of my favorite musicians of all time. As far as I know the concerts are all sold out. I would love to see him live too, but unfortunately he's not coming to Europe. The album is great, you should definitely give it a listen! ❤
Amygdala just…it breaks me a little, in a good way. Same as The Last, it breaks me down and lifts me up. Yoongi, Yoongi, he is just amazing. I think you’ll really like Snooze off of this album, Dezzy.
I have a theory - both daechwita and haegeum are interlinked. In the both the songs both agust d, (the young wild one and the king /police officer) are the same persons different inner personalities, the young free spirited wild agust d is the passionate side who wants to create music and do better while the king/police agust d is the egoistic side which takes over agust d (or yoongi's mind) when given power. But he killed the king in daechwita so that his egoistic side died, and passion remains. But it came back as a police officer in haegeum, who again died by the hands of young & wild agust d.. But he died with a smile on his face. Meaning he will come back again. In conclusion - agust d (or yoongi) kills his ego with his passion for music everytime it overtakes his mind. But since he is a human like all of us it comes back and the cycle continues.
I honestly can't wait to see him. The way his music just hits me deep in the soul. And I can't believe i get to see I'm in LA on the 14th and both nights in Oakland 🥹🥹🥹
I'm sorry I gotta say this Dezzy. Out of all the youtubers I watched you come up with the all time BEST PHRASES. Like your saying 'what the art?' was genius! So you genius I'm stealing that lol and also Suga new nickname is genius and that's on PERIOD!
Thank you for your reaction! I agree with you a 100%. He's an amazing artist with massive skills, unafraid to be vulnerable and talk his sh*t. His whole album is a masterpiece, and his message was a wake-up call to me personally. He motivates his listeners to live freely in the present moment w/o fear. He earned my respect.
"What the Art?!" Perfectly said. Amygdala..our reptile brain fight or flight now 2 more reactions have been added. It alerts to danger and records the Tigger so later in life you can be fine but something happens that triggers the same responses & if you don't realize it enter anxiety & depression b/c you see everulything as a danger or threat & never stand down. ..... in a music video.
He said on his show this week (well RMs 😅) it is his mission in life to help people. Because they hear all the time, they change peoples lives. That's what he wants to do. He shares his pain so someone else may be help.
That lets you know Suga want everybody to be healed from their past. We have to "MASTER" rejection and pain to Be an Effective role model for this date and time. How do we save generations from tragedies when we still can't find our inner selves. You must fight harder to find YOU !!!!
if you have disney chanel , you should wacth the documentory about his journey for create this ep D'DAY. it was very difficult to ear some what he said.
As your Army Mom - from the tiniest Caribbean Island who discovered our boys since 2016. You know, Dezzy. Trust in believe - MILLIONS OF US - were triggered upon hearing Suga's song. At 56 yrs old. I bawled my arse off. Not JUST at intimate details.....of Youngi's life that were NEVER SHARED. As an OG Army......we thought we'd known everything about this man. Nope. His sharing that DEPTH of trauma with us. Trust me . Triggered MY OWN TRAUMA....at 14 yrs old back then . and with zero details (as YT would block it). Nuff said . It is why....this group literally saved my life in 2016. No cap I was on the verge of.........nuff said. BTS have never shyed away from sharing the most intimate details of their lives. BUT AMYGDALA......hit hard. The night/day it hit? There were literal psychologists/therapists.......offering Army (free online consultations)..........it simply reminded MILLIONS of our OWN trauma. That along with Suga.........he/US kept buried for yrs. Loved you the Second I discovered your channel from "Jimin Can Make Men Lose Their Minds"......or something. You were hilarious AF......back then. Borahea 💜💜. Please understand that your YT Channel has spread around the World. We 💜💜 you, Darling.......
for amygdala, it's one thing to write that kinda shit down in the form of lyrics, but it's another thing to put a beat to it and release that into the world.
after we lost moonbin I want to protect suga with everything I have. He realeased this and I realised how much he’s struggling please guys let’s be nice to him
1:18 no, Haegeum is shot in Thailand and everything modern time. Daechwita was set in olden days Korea, everything, clothes, buildings characters, market etc. except for the Agust D character with the car of course, he and his friends had the car and modern clothes in the Daechwita MV.
The accident happen while he was a trainee it was doing a part time delivery job to pay for his education. He was hit by a car. He didn't dare tell anyone because he was afraid he would not be allowed to debut. He went years with shoulder issues because he didn't get treatment. Finally the pain was too much and he told the staff. Who asked him why he didn't tell them earlier? He had the operation on his shoulder while covid was happening.
Base on Suga real life, His true anxiety depression, The true about the car accident which cause him having His shoulder pains through long years on BTS live performance no wonder He didn't smile much or having a bad mood, After doing Black Swan MV his shoulder was already badly hurt that he took meds for His pain every day, but feeling suffer to that He has to take pills which comes hold on him addicted to taken His meds pills to get rid of pain but at same he also feeling pain of dark depression feeling which is not good that He having panic attack of nightmares about His Mom heart disease dreaming of seeing His Mom on floor in nightmare which really describe himself by taken multiple pills to stop his pain, feeling sad for him, But back to MV of Black Swan or live performance doing 'Black Swan 'Suga told Seventeen 'HOSHi on 'Suchwita that during Black Swan performance his shoulder has pop out after already feeling his shoulder pains for so long since the car accident that He never went to Doctor to get surgery done to his painful shoulder until went to get surgery done to his shoulder and He said He felt a whole alot better than He was before since He has took surgery for his shoulder but He still feeling pain just little abit but took cream for his shoulder but felt alot better now, cause He is smiling more and feeling relieved than he after was before and drinking coffee more often to keep His energy Up..😅 Translate to Korean
I really appreciate how you react to suga video especially the one of his true story...... You are really a amazing person..... Maybe god always bless you 🎉❤😢
The end bro... Just his younger self seeing the problem and wanting to help hurt me dearly. As a kid or even as a teenager, you know what's going on with you hurts and is bad, but it's hard to pull yourself out of that at such a young age. Not everyone is able to do that. Just seeing that mentality play out on screen sucks so bad.
Yoongi is a master in telling his story. After ridding himself of the need to prove his worth to others (daechwita) and the confines of modern society (Haegum) he investigates the inner demons and trauma that started his confinement in the first place. I love watching agust d reaction videos because the people that get it, get it, especially when it comes to his creation and lyrics,
The kind of pain I felt from watching AMYGDALA, is one I cant even express..... My boy came so far and that's so strong of him🙏🙏

This man is inspiring and to think, he's just 1 of 7 phenomenons, unselfishly giving
back to those open-minded enough to accept them...and those whom stand unwilling all the same. Wishing you the best Dezzy on all phases of your life. 💜
I was already beyond excited before this album drop, but now I can barely contain my excitement to see him live in Oakland D1.
Suga truly has an amazing storytelling talent. He often says he didn't want to be a dancer or actor; but he has excelled in both. I love his personal share to the world.
grab me and let's go to the tour concert, Dezzy, I'll bring water and some paper towels for our tears
Only yoongi can make me go absolute crazy to his lyrics and beats then literally have me (ugly) crying to the next with his lyrics visuals and pure vulnerability and honesty ...this is what separates top tier from GOD tier❤❤
THIS is why Min Yoongi is my ultimate bias/comfort person.
Ima see yung yoon and Jackson back to back in may I’m so hype I love how haegum is like daechwita p.2 and amygdala is reminiscent of the last which is one of his most profound and personal songs in his whole catalogue in my opinion the way the beat start it sound nostalgic for some reason to me he’s so raw and prolific in so amazed by him
this song is his story, his so amazing this man is so freaking awesome after all the struggles he made it.
thank you for taking the time to review these two songs. your deep understanding, respect and grace was so heartwarming. much love ❤
After watching this video... Amygdala...
I cried. I felt like hugging him. 🤗😥
Dez, this MV hit me hard and has me tearing up 🥹 Agust D is such a genuinely brave artist and I love him so much! 😍🫶🏽💜
As an army I appreciate your appreciation for his music. I’m also an infj and a Taurus lol
I felt so overwhelmed when I watch this. And it's relatable too. I wish I could erase memories and be brave.
Yoongward is masterpiece.. he is f**king genius 🔥🔥🤩🤩 love yoongward so much 🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜🫰🏻🫰🏻🫰🏻 & like yoir reaction 💜💜
"Amydala" was beautiful and I can never watch or listen to it ever again. Not unless I want to spend the next 15 minutes sobbing.
IT'S DEEP AND BEAUTIFUL....
I cried. It really touched me. Yes, he is different. He's one of my favorite musicians of all time. As far as I know the concerts are all sold out. I would love to see him live too, but unfortunately he's not coming to Europe. The album is great, you should definitely give it a listen! ❤
So deep... So meaning full... I'm soobing and crying
Yoongi mentioned in Road to D-day that he had major mood swings working on Amygdala. He's the bravest and strongest person I know. 💜💜💜😭😭😭
yes! been waiting for your reaction to these masterpieces!
Going to May 11th at Forum.
I feel like you totally nailed it fr 🎯
@@DezzyMarch thanks lol! 💜
Yoongi is him. He is that guy in all the right ways. Truly an inspiration
I honestly can't wait to see him. The way his music just hits me deep in the soul. And I can't believe i get to see I'm in LA on the 14th and both nights in Oakland 🥹🥹🥹
Agust D didn't have to release a new album with so much diversity in creation behind beautiful lyrics because he knows exactly what he's doing
I'm sorry I gotta say this Dezzy. Out of all the youtubers I watched you come up with the all time BEST PHRASES. Like your saying 'what the art?' was genius! So you genius I'm stealing that lol and also Suga new nickname is genius and that's on PERIOD!
I appreciate that! Use the phrasessss!!! haha Yoongward the G & the G is for genius!
Dezzyyyy! Definitely will! Also did you react to the D-Day album? If so, where?
the album is really good. i cried watching this MV. Suga is the man
Yesss I was waitin for your review of these songs! Yoongi really blessed our ears with this one
Im going to the chicago stop with my sister! we got waitlisted tickets and are so excited!
Loved your reaction to both of these! Thank you. You SHOULD GO to his concert. Support SUGA D 🥰.
YES HE IS SO BRAVE 🔥🫂
if you have disney chanel , you should wacth the documentory about his journey for create this ep D'DAY. it was very difficult to ear some what he said.
I’m going to see him in Oakland on May 17th! I’m so excited 💜
******At End in Concert, Crew carries SUGA off stage.
Thank you so much for these words✨
he wrote these 2 songs up in the Mt one after the other which was amazing.
AMYGDALA mv hit me hard. It definitely dug up a feeling I knew I had at one point but never fully acknowledged.
for amygdala, it's one thing to write that kinda shit down in the form of lyrics, but it's another thing to put a beat to it and release that into the world.
after we lost moonbin I want to protect suga with everything I have.
I think exposing this level of intimacy is him telling us and the whole world he's ready to heal
Great reaction ❤ Thank you ❤
Your one of my favorite reactors I hope whatever it is you are facing will end, Keep strong, it will get better
I appreciate you! Just gotta go through it to grow through it, I'm getting stronger by the day fr
the boss bitch energy and then the cries from these 2 tracks, god dammit YOONGWARD
Thanks for your Beautyfull Reaktion 💜
The accident happen while he was a trainee it was doing a part time delivery job to pay for his education. He was hit by a car. He didn't dare tell anyone because he was afraid he would not be allowed to debut. He went years with shoulder issues because he didn't get treatment. Finally the pain was too much and he told the staff. Who asked him why he didn't tell them earlier? He had the operation on his shoulder while covid was happening.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T is the word MIN YOONGI aka AGUST D aka SUGA.‼️
He’s always been the silent on in bts. This really told us why
One word: RESPECT !!!!
He's incredibly brave it's crazy! Also i feel the pain in Amygdala so strongly it makes me cry every time.
Base on Suga real life, His true anxiety depression, The true about the car accident which cause him having His
shoulder pains through long years on
BTS live performance no wonder He didn't
smile much or having a bad mood, After
doing Black Swan MV his shoulder was
already badly hurt that he took meds for
His pain every day, but feeling suffer to
that He has to take pills which comes hold
on him addicted to taken His meds pills
to get rid of pain but at same he also feeling pain of dark depression feeling
which is not good that He having panic
attack of nightmares about His Mom
heart disease dreaming of seeing His
Mom on floor in nightmare which really
describe himself by taken multiple pills
to stop his pain, feeling sad for him,
But back to MV of Black Swan or live performance doing 'Black Swan 'Suga told
Seventeen 'HOSHi on 'Suchwita that during
Black Swan performance his shoulder has
pop out after already feeling his shoulder
pains for so long since the car accident
that He never went to Doctor to get surgery done to his painful shoulder until
went to get surgery done to his shoulder
and He said He felt a whole alot better
than He was before since He has took surgery for his shoulder but He still feeling
pain just little abit but took cream for his
shoulder but felt alot better now, cause
He is smiling more and feeling relieved
than he after was before and drinking coffee more often to keep His energy Up..😅

You never know what someone is going through internally.
I really appreciate how you react to suga video especially the one of his true story...... You are really a amazing person..... Maybe god always bless you 🎉❤😢
The sexual tension between agust d and agust d is 👀
Girl what 😂😂
I knew one of y’all would say some shxt like this 😂
@@DezzyMarch 😂😂😂😂😂
Enjoyed your reaction. New subscriber
welcomeeee! thank you for watching with me :)
"fu*king facts" 👌🔥
The end bro... Just his younger self seeing the problem and wanting to help hurt me dearly. As a kid or even as a teenager, you know what's going on with you hurts and is bad, but it's hard to pull yourself out of that at such a young age. Not everyone is able to do that. Just seeing that mentality play out on screen sucks so bad.
Makes me even more proud of him & happy for him. Grateful for artists-humans like this especially in this day & age
