thanks so much! been crocheting for years and recently picked up knitting and needed help with all the new terms! nice tutorial for the blanket I'm working on!
This video was very helpful. I was getting to the intermediate stage when I stopped knitting about 5 years ago so this video helped refresh my memory. Your explanation was easy to grasp
Whoo-hoo!! I finally found someone who knits like I learned to knit years ago. Everything else I've looked out is so fancy-schmancy, continental, and I can't follow it. But I have a question: what is the difference between yarn forward and yarn-over?? Thanks!
+MetalGrannie some people use "yf" instead of "yo" and they are the same thing. But in some circumstances, yf simply means bringing yarn to the front, e.g. k2, yf, wrap yarn once, p2 or k2, yf, p2tog. So, for me yf can replace yo, but yo can't replace yf.
hello you explain very well I bought a model in English and the person refuses to help me could you explain to me what do you mean" Abbreviations Yfwd-yarn forward K3tog-knit 3 stitches together K2tog-knit 2 stitches together Inc-increase in stitch, by knitting into front & back of stitch Psso-pass slip-stitch over Yfwd-yarn forward K2togtbs-knit 2 stitches together through back of stitches Y2- yfwd, k2, pass ‘yfwd’ stitch over the 2sts
a"Yfwd-yarn forward" is to bring yarn infront of work "K3tog-knit 3 stitches together" is to knit all 3 its together at once. Stick a needle from the 3 st thought first st and then knit them together. "K2tog-knit 2 stitches together" is to knit 2 sts together at once. @@Knitting4beginner merci merci beaucoup vous êtes adorable de me répondre Thank you thank you very much you are adorable to answer me je pense que Y2 veux dire P2 I think that Y2 means P2
+Heather Hill Start out by bringing yarn to the front just as you would purl. Then knit while the yarn is still in front of work. Then knit the 2 sts. You now have 4 sts to work with. This is exactly the same as “yo, K3 “ except this one start at the beginning of a row.
I think the best way to do is to make 4 edges and applies 2 opposite ends first and then the other 2 two. Sorry, I haven't try this on a blanket. This pattern doesn't have a corner and makes it hard to apply to a square or rectangle project.

Thank you It just seems akward at the beginning of the 1st row after casting on
yes, it does, I felt the same way when I made it the first time.
Thank you this has been a big help I have a question for you "how do I over sew a lacy eyelet seam together for a knitted blanket ? "
I think the best way to do is to make 4 edges and applies 2 opposite ends first and then the other 2 two. Sorry, I haven't try this on a blanket. This pattern doesn't have a corner and makes it hard to apply to a square or rectangle project.
The best!
Thank you! Doubt solved

you need to speak a bit louder
I tend to speak softly, but the sound on this video seems fine to me. Did you try higher the volume?
