Perfect 🤩 with you I will learn all the techniques and its abbreviations 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏you could make a video explaining the most difficult abbreviations . Just kind of a list. 😬🥳🙏😍
Thank you, Norman! This is a timely tutorial. I have a lace pattern with an edge that looks like an I-cord edge. The pattern instructions state to Sl3. It creates a rather noticeable float, but in the picture of the item (lace border for a shawl), the float is not there. I was wondering if an I-cord edge was what the designer meant. So frustrating.
Hey Norman! Just came to this video to double check my technique because I'm coming across a problem, I'm slipping the way your first example is.. maybe you could help me troubleshoot this issue?- It's a pattern for a bunny security blanket that uses double knitting (I think that's what it is called?) to do the head all in one.. so it's P1 SL1, but it's coming out like stockinette stitch when the pattern pictures look like garter. Do you think this is a me problem or a pattern problem? I tried again on some other yarn and if I K1 SL1 it works out good..? 😅 Honestly if I can get away with just K it'll be easier anyway but it's frustrating me not knowing why mine was turning out different to other people who have made the same thing with the pattern
well...there actually is no sl1...there is slip 1 purlwise with yarn in back. or slip 1 knitwise with yarn in front. And when it comes to double knitting this distinction is very very important. So...i cannot answer your question because i don't know these details. as a result, its better to ask the respective designer.
As always very clear expalnations. Thanks !
Very helpful. Thank you Norman.
Very nice video! Thanks Norman.🤗

yeah..it kinda sounds like an icord edge..but as I said in the video...i wish people would be a bit more precise when they say "sl1"
