I call this Dedede Begone!
Literally with max damage buffs and fully charged hammer flip he fallen in 2 hits, both of them depleting his entire health

I don’t know how I’ll ever recover from Toy Hammer being better than the Forgo Hammer. This was such a jaw dropping video to watch.

Nice run, that was super clean. I also had no idea you could smack the sword away in MK's battle!
I just got a 3:50 myself on this one! Maybe I could get sub 3 eventually, I'd just have to get better at the fast kills.
Phantom MK is tricky, just like normal MK, but I'll eventually get the timing down to swat him out of the air.

Toy Hammer despite being weaker in raw damage it has faster moves especially the charged flaming one.

It took me like 40 minutes for that cup, and most of that was the spherical final boss
My god…I beat that cup in just less than 10 minutes and I thought I was fast as hell…
So epic man, These kinds of things motivate me to keep playing Kirby. this speedrun motivated me to make some records, and I think I'm making progress :D
Weird how, since miniboss fights don’t end until you inhale the boss or they turn into a hat after their health hits 0, the game basically forces anyone trying to go fast to defile their corpse until they’re forced into hat form.
I've seen many ultimate cup z speedruns before but holy mother of nova this was too quick to be called a massacre.

Even though this is extremely good, I still don't understand how smart Waddle Dee says the Wr for the Meta Knight Cup without power ups is 6 seconds
You can go out of bounds and trigger Meta Knight Cup, then you finish one fight which has Wild Frosty and Wild Bonkers and the game finishes Colosseum after that

My own highest time on Ultimate Cup Z was 8 and a half minutes, and I used maxed-out Morpho Knight Sword with Attack Boost. I had no idea getting under 3 minutes was even possible, and out of all abilites, being done with Toy Hammer.

Even if toy hammer is objectively better, i still prefer morpho sword and masked hammer because i find them more fun
In the gaint elfilis attack, you can just jump over it to avoid the slow down effect, maybe i can help shave off seconds
The timer slows during a "bullet time" dodge, so it wouldn't make any difference.
WTF. Imagine ability evolutions, power ups, and the buff items like that in the other Kirby games, would their True Arenas be easier or harder than this one?

I remember starting the game and the nerdy waddle dee guy said the world record for arena was an ability I didn't have, but it was 6 seconds for meta Knight. I since completed everything and morpho Knight sword is so fun to use, but when I went back to the waddle dee they said the world record was actually using toy hammer. Can someone explain what makes it the best weapon for bosses? If I had to guess it would be the fastest charge time and rapid fire, but I still find it strange masked hammer isn't used for the tornados that would basically act as the rapid hits done with the toy hammer but simultaneously to the charged hit.
Edit: just checked, I think masked hammer has the same charge time, but doesn't do the tornados like I thought it did. Morpho Knight sword seems a tiny bit slower charging and much slower swing, but does get the projectiles at full hp and probably does more damage
So there's a couple of things going into that absurd world record.
1) The record is only achievable from a glitched run of the Meta Knight Cup, where you only fight Mr. Frosty and Bonkers to complete the entire cup. This version of the Meta Knight Cup can only be accessed by going out of bounds, which is currently only possible using any of the Hammer abilities. So why Toy Hammer specifically? Well...
2) When bosses are in the middle of a phase transition (e.g. Sillydillo breaking the floor after the first phase or Phantom Clawroline screeching before she makes clones of herself), they take far less damage than they usually would. Why is that important? Toy Hammer's charge attack is a single hit, whereas Masked Hammer's is several hits. Under normal circumstances, I believe they both do the same amount of damage when fully upgraded, but because of the phase transition armor, it's possible to trigger the phase transition from the first hits of Masked Hammer's charge attack, which means that the later hits would then deal significantly less damage because of the armor. Toy Hammer's charge attack, on the other hand, is a single hit, so it won't get affected by the phase transition armor because all of the damage would have been applied before the armor could kick in.
I don't have the game but can guess you play it well when you one shot bosses

1:26 Kirby swung forward yet Phantom Clawroline got hit while being behind Kirby
1:31 Kirby is fast enough to hit Phantom Clawroline before the second phase ever starts.
1:47 Phantom King Dedede takes too long to start the fight
2:05 Kirby took damage despite Phantom King Dedede already being dead
2:23 Kirby’s dodge is broken, he goes through things that should hit him.
3:46 Kirby is hitting Phantom Meta Knight while not even being near him.
4:49 Once again, Kirby’s dodge completely defies how damage works.
4:58 More broken dodges, as Kirby goes through the lightning.
5:28 Kirby is so fast Morpho Knight can’t teleport away to even start the second phase.
5:55 At first I thought Kirby actually jumped over the wave but looking at it, Chaos Elfilis’s spear still hit him, so it’s another dodge that defies physics.
6:03 Kirby is so close to Chaos Elfilis the tornados can’t hit him, despite them spawning on him.
6:24 For the next few spear attacks Kirby shouldn’t be able to go through them, Kirby defying physics again.
6:59 Kirby should have been sucked into the black hole yet he wasn’t.
7:13 Ultimate Cup Z in under three minutes, how? Well it’s time to finally mention HOW BROKEN THE TOY HAMMER IS. Maxing out the thing and giving it three attack power ups results in every one in this entire game that has a health bar and boss fight, turning into a normal enemy, it’s that powerful.

I think I know why he chose toy hammer, while the other two higher level hammers technically do more damage, masked hammer has to multi hit to do all the damage it does, which takes a long time, and wild hammer is just slow. I think. Barely used it. Even then, the damage barely matters since they're gonna pretty much one shot anyways so toy hammer + ⭐️ makes sense
Also the damage you deal is kinda limited due to the fact that the game pretty much completely disallows you from one shotting a boss
Hm ok so the best way to beat it is by fully maxing out toy hammer and then using its max full strike and that just wins?

Well judging from this video I can definitely say something is definitely going to get nerfed at some point.
So Toy Hammer is fastest, but does it take a whole lot of work to get good at it? I’ve been using powered up space ranger for fights as sort of a safety thing, but I wanna know the best way for my first run through Ultimate Cup Z.
morpho knight sword is probably the easiest to learn and do ultimate cup z with (highest base attack, invincibility after dodging, sword beam, healing as you attack). toy hammer as long as you power it up with rare stones and learn boss attack patterns enough to know when to charge B, you should be good
Frost is my go-to, because the shield makes you immune to damage.

So you are telling me that a big squeaky hammer is far more powerful than the sword of the handbringer of death infused with the most powerful warrior and half of what os descibed as the ultimate lifeform?
When fully powered up Toy Hammer apparently has the strongest single strike in the game. The balance to that is it takes time to charge. With the right timing you can one or two shot pretty much anything except the last few bosses.

Im still trying to figure out how you get so much damage off with the mini bosses like 0:20. Especially when you almost one tapped Wild Edge. How did you do that?
While following the Meta Knight cup, I discovered that the bosses that spawn in second (like wild edge and fleurina) have a split second after the spawn, before the roar, that they don't have increased defense. On the MK, you can charge when the white appears and release on two charge and almost one shot them. Looks like he immediately charged to three for the Z cup

It's better for Cups, in story you'd need to get rare stones, money and get the blueprint which isn't that fast to get anyway.

i literally still havent beaten this cup, its one of the only things keeping me from 100%. and people are out here beating it in 3 minutes. for reference, i HAVE beaten the true arena from return to dreamland deluxe. though its been a bit since ive tried the ultimate cup Z.
I required multiple attempts to beat the Ultimate Cup Z once and I was using buffs (on Wild Mode), it is pretty hard the first time around. I am able to consistently beat it using Meta Knight Sword now. Meanwhile KRtDLDX you can kinda just cheese the True Arena with Tornado lol
@@Pixiuchu oh yeah, i actually beat the ultimate cup Z now. i did it in wild mode with morpho knight sword and no buffs. i probably couldve done it much earlier with spring breeze mode and with items, but i didnt want to cheese it too hard.
as for return to dreamland, i used the sand ability, which is still pretty cheesy. i tried beating it with mech and hammer but kept dying to the final boss so i gave up.
How does this hammer work? Like seriously, how can you be doing that damage with second tier weapons

The issue with this game is that you can upgrade every ability to have perfect attack
Meaning some "lower" leveled upgrades will outclass their "higher" leveled ones
Puts Wild Hammer straight to bottom tier as it's redeeming factor w/o upgrades is how strong it is. With upgrades that whole redeeming factor gets thrown out of the window.

Are you using some trick, or is Toy Hammer Flip that overpowered? This definitely has the most ways to cheese an arena out of any Kirby game
Of course maxed out and with buffs
Toy Hammer deals lots of damage when it's fully upgraded and using Attack Boosts helps to deal extra damage. Fully charge Hammer attack is very powerful.

You just use them, it stacks

I believe the toy hammers faster at the cost of a bit of power
Toy Hammer is actually more powerful than Masked Hammer, Toy Hammers power comes from a single hit being powerful
In a nutshell, Masked does more damage overall but does so in consecutive hits while Toy does the damage all in one hit. So Masked is stronger but Toy id still very powerful and does damage faster

Mask dedede has a higher damage output yes but it's multiple hits to and takes longer for the full charge. Toy hammer charges faster and only needs one swing
The toy hammer is better in my opinion you get an instant charge if you do a perfect dodge and the charges are extremely fast

it's faster because the toy hammer swing is only one swing for full damage, unlike masked hammer which has a longer spinning animation. with the star the toy hammer has max power like masked hammer.
