Love the linens, have collected them for years. They are can be used in so many ways. Several years ago I gave my niece an outdoor tented Bridal Shower with all my vintage linens and porcelain teacups.
This is the most entertaining unboxing ever! I love Grandma and I want to take her out for dinner. Her passion for the linens and their history is heartfelt. The old meds... take them tthe police! You may be able to get the containers back...
Fabulous video. Made me laugh so much. The interaction between you Wade and your mom is so special. Grandma Ventures is a real treasure. Love your video's. From the UK
Grandma V you do a great job in selling the items.. I downsized and moved into a smaller place but when I listen to you I want back some of the items I “gave” away. Lol…. I so enjoy because there are so many memories I can associate with you two!
Grandma Ventures, I with you, really love all the linens. Bed spread crocheted, my Aunt Jerda crocheted my cousins Wedding Boutique. Loved all the rest of box.
I also love old linen. I have a small collection of Quaker Lace tablecloths and I use them when we have family dinners (which is not often enough). I did some research and read that the tablecloths that have little (tiny) round balls on the border were made in the 20's and 30's. The one you showed had loops on the border - I don't know when those were made. I looked up "Sparine Injectable" and couldn't find much information other than it was used to treat psychotic disorders.
The cobalt mixing bowl is a Jenn-Air Attrezzi stand mixer bowl. From what I have read it is a coated color not the glass itself. Ebay listing is $74.98. The bowls came in a variety of colors. 🙂
I crochet, make patchwork quilts, and jewelry making, it takes a lot of time to crochet those big pieces, I have basically been making baby quilts and crocheting baby blankets and clothes because it's much faster. Wow, all those remind me of all the ones my grandmother use to have. Those were well made with lots of time and love, you can't find things like that in stores these days. I loved this video and am so happy the blacklight worked. I would say you probably spent around $485.00 in Cosco.
Yes I crochet. Nothing as fancy as that bedspread. My Mom did the fancy things so an estimate in time to finish that spread would be 2+ years working on it every night.
Hi Wade and Gramma V The look on Gramma Vista face and Wade's laugh when you lite up that uranium glass was precious. It was like getting caught with your hands in the cookie jar. Great video. Leta
Hi Grandma Ventures and Wade Love watching you unpacking. Priceless when you found the blue light. Here in Australia we have to give the Pharmacy unused medication for them to dispose. From Australia Perth 🌹
Awesome video. I think the tree is an olive tree and could do with repotting with new soil and add some fertiliser and a prune. Good luck with the tree. You could also take a cutting (tip with leaves) to a nursery that sells plants and trees and ask if anyone knows what it is, then you can look it up. Thank you for sharing your treasures 👍👍👏👏❤️❤️
That blue bowl is perfect for serving a lg group. Kitchen aid is awesome.. favorite in first box is Jim Beam Pearl Harbor Bottle, the hand crocheted bedspread is lovely, love when the ladies wore aprons..
My Grandmother crocheted a bedspread for each of her kids. The flowers on hers were roses and everyone got to choose the colors for the roses. One was pink roses with green leaves, one was yellow roses with green leaves and mom’s were all beige roses and leaves. Mom wanted to change the colors under it for different looks. They all have knotted fringe on the edge. I treasure this item and have it on the bedroom with the furniture my grandmother had when she married. 4 generations of women have used it and looked into the vanity mirror.
Wow some wonderful treasures, love the bed spread and all the linens. Vintage aprons are so IN at the moment. I’ve watched your channel for years lol I think around the 3,000 subs, I’m a bit shy so don’t comment often but I remember you getting so happy when you got to 10k and every milestone you have reached. You are all so hardworking and deserve recognition for all that hard work! Thank you for keeping us entertained through these trying times. Much love from the uk 🇬🇧 x forgot my total for Costco £367.09 x
You need to freshen the earth each year bt taking some out, leave the roots alone and fill it with new. I think the copper pan with the heater underneath is for cheese but I cant remember what is done with the cheese except its melted with beer or white wine and bread is dipped in it. I've been very poorly and the brain isn't functioning lol. I love linen and have two thick patterned pieces that could be bedspreads or table cloths, mu late Mum used to borrow them when she did a buffet for family weddings in a hall she hired. One would almost cover a full sized snooker table. The place bed cover is a beauty and worth a pretty penny, the different table cloths have napkins that match I think, what a superb collection of quality, I love them all. The different things you showed us had me glued to my phone, what wonderful items (apart from all the out of date medications). By the way, thank you both for showing the black light on the green uranium glass, what a wonderful glow and I have wanted to see that for a long time. Its past midnight and I hopefully will have a good night so farewell for now my friends God bless you all love and hugs to you both and Ashley Mary-Ellen UK
FINALLY, YOU SAW THE GLOW !!! lol My whole curio cabinet glows like that, i love it. I started collecting uranium glass last year around this time, i just find it gorgeous .
15:58 the mushroom hot plate, hobby ceramics, the Arnell Company was a major mold company for the hobby ceramics industry. I had a ceramics studio from 1975 through 1984, taught lessons and had a salesman that sold my finished wares in 4 states, then transitioned into Antiques and Collectibles when nerve damage in my right hand did not allow me to hold a paint brush for hours on end. Found out I could raise my hand at auction a lot quicker than I could paint anyway.!!! lol
Wade you and your mom are like Abbott and Costello during unboxing. And purchase from grandma V's Poshmark. That woman can pack glass like no other. I don't know how there is any packing tape left in the world 🤣🤣 J from So. Calif.
Funny stuff tonight. A pile of chickens? Lol. Loved all of it. Especially interested in the metal pans with the medical items inside. Good vintage laboratory items to use today. 👍. Who Dey!
I know this video is 2 years old, but the Kitchenaid mixer is from the 40s, and you, as a seller should know that they should never be laid on their side. The method of lubrication for the motor is a closed system, so you never have to refill it under normal situations, and if you lay them sideways, the oil can leak out. The brown color on the place where the beater attaches is some of that oil. It can pool up outside of the system, and drip out there into your batters and doughs! You should clean it there, then run it several times for 15-25 minutes at a time to make sure it's not leaking out before you sell it. Good luck.
Grandma Ventures and l have a common interest in the linins, lining,l love them.Wonderful video guys, love y'all and l have been with you from the beginning, you are my favs.l just don't comment alot, lol. But l'm here.
It's so nice to know there is someone else that butchers the English language as bad as I do. I hope Zorro is feeling better. Great Video. Loved the Kitchen Aid mixer.
Man, what's wrong with you Wade? Did you hear your Mom say she loves that mixer? Let her have it for Gods sake! With all the help she gives you- she should get to keep whatever she wants out of any of it! It's NOT always about the buck in your pockets. But if it was, your Mom is the reason you're able to succeed.... Reward her respectfully!
The copper pan set is called a Fondue set mainly from Switzerland and Austria. The bottom piece is for the metholated spirits that you light and heat the contents in the saucepan. You dip bread chunks in cheese sauce or meat chunks in oil. Very popular in the 1960/70s.
The cutting table clause with designs on them make sure you look those up because those are old the tea towels are also old I’m talking 75 years plus for the tablecloth. My grandmother had everything linen you can imagine to go on a table. My mother still uses them to this day and I know my grandmother had them at least 50 years before she passed so I know they’re over that just wanted to let you know just in case they are what I think they are beautiful I love those tea towels
What’s the chicken story Grandma? Love it when you are there. Love the banter between you and your son. Love you all. Watching always from Australia.😇🥰❤️
Great to see you two! $326 at Costco. I got those three trivets as a wedding gift 53 years ago. Chickens were in that year and orange for a kitchen was in.I would be interested in the small linen towels to make day gowns for a newborn. Could you message me? That syringe is a tubex. Fondue pot, Wade. And the plate does go under it.
I do a lot of crochet, would love to make crocheted tablecloths and bread spreads but I have been very busy making beanie hats and scrparfs for the homeless
Finding the black light! That was soooo cool! And that is a really strong one! I worked in a Burn Unit for years. We used a black light just like that..... we'd put special drops in people's eyes and then we'd use the black light to see if their eyes had been injured. Ok, you spent $1270 at Costco, that's my guess!
The apron could be from the 50s. The fancy ones were never used in the kitchen. When there was a wedding at our church the bride would have really fancy aprons made for the ladies from the ladies aid for serving the wedding lunch. I still use aprons because I have a bad habit of wiping my hands on my pants.
The last item from swirzerland In copper is an old devis for melted cheese or "fondue au fromage", you put methylated spirit down and it Will heat the top with your cheese inside, or chocolat if you want.
Spent 197.98 at Costco. Love the Pearl Harbor liquor container! That bedspread is beautiful. My grandma use to crochet those. She taught me to crochet many years ago.
Wade Your house plant is a Dracaena Reflexa, I believe it called Song of India. There is 40 types of this tropical tree. They can reach up to 12 to 20 feet tall. I use aprons when I cook. They don’t call me messy for nothing ❣️❣️. That bedspread is unbelievable!! I am in awe of who ever had the wherewithal to make it. ☺️🤩

I got a full set of Revere cookware for a wedding present 43 yrs ago, and I still use it daily. It's great stuff!

The handmade crocheted bedspread is absolutely gorgeous!
You spent $482.00
I'm like Grandma. I love old linens. I don't crochet, but I do hand embroider.💕
When I was in Germany, To pass the time I learned how to Crochet It took me almost 2yrs to make a Queen size bed spread.

The plant looks like an ornamental olive tree. Have you tried repotting it in a larger container and feeding it?
The last item from swirzerland In copper is an old devis for melted cheese or "fondue au fromage", you put methylated spirit down and it Will heat the top with your cheese inside, or chocolat if you want.
It's a fondue pot and you do put the stuff inside the bottom part to heat up the cheese the copper set.
I'm laughing so hard that Grandma V and i brain went to the same imagination. "Must be doing an experiments" lmao
Hello ventures family.. good morning.
Spent 197.98 at Costco. Love the Pearl Harbor liquor container! That bedspread is beautiful. My grandma use to crochet those. She taught me to crochet many years ago.
My mother in law made us one ♥️

There is a free app available to identify plants by taking a picture with your phone. Maybe that would help you identify your plant. Love your videos.
Wait if you download plant scanner it’s scan plants and helps you learn more about them
That was really interesting the green glass glowing how cool 😎
Keep the light with you at the table for future green bowls
The copper pot and rack is an old fondue pot. Liquid fuel goes in the bottom and yes the tray goes with it.
Yes to napkins, table cloths!!!!
