I love James. They have been part of my life since I was 13 and have indirectly helped me through hard time. Beautiful caring people.
Same
I've been into James the band since I was 7 year old i am now 36 my dad got me into them.. I remember the first song of james that got me and that was SIT DOWN.. Then I got given the laid album on cassette tape and I just listened that tape until I worn it out.. Got to love James. Also named my son after this Great Band.😊
Nearly 40 years down the line, hundreds of songs, thousands of sets and live recordings, 100% talented and professional, as intelligent as you can get, but still with an ability to fuck up a song and take 3!!!! Love the humanity and honesty of this band always, one of the few reasons to be proud to be British and be a fan onlongside their career 😊
been listening to them almost 30 yrs now.
Same just so unique
The greatest Manchester band ever.
Definitely top 3 pure consistent brilliance number one but Oasis and Stone Rose's have more iconic songs bar sit down laid
@@johnoldroyd5244 Top 3 yes but but accompanied by The Smiths and Joy Division :)
stone rose?

We all have a raven in our lives , a very beautiful song …..thanks boys
Epic Epic set .... goosebumps with All I'm saying ... the most under rated band in the world !
Without doubt should be top 5 band based on unique sound fantastic live too
Agreed. Amazing band and that song moves me
This is tremendous - I've seen James live in Manchester more than any other act - unbelievable live. Such intelligent lyrics with deep emotional meaning. Amazing musicality - love the violin / cello / trumpet that often make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. A real privilege to hear Tim give background to the meaning behind some of the songs here, which make them even more poignant. Thanks for the all the great music guys :o)
I have seen them 3 times in Manchester also got to love James such an awesome band..

All I am saying is: perform All I'm saying more often, beautiful!
I saw the first ever US show of James in NYC and it was less then 99 cents.
When aliens take over the universe and say we have to enter a band to represent the Milky Way galaxy in a music competition I wholeheartedly beg James to save our arse’s🥰
💙💚💛NBL 💛💚💙
I am just discovering this band. They seem very talented, but they remind me a lot of Radiohead. Some good songs. I like Leviathan.
Well, Radiohead were obviously inspired by early James classics!
James came before radiohead..
Beautiful performance/songs. The Elon Musk comment didn’t age well tho, did it? :(
Broken by the hurt...
There’re as fresh as a daisy
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍🌈🌟
What is Saul on about from 29:20 onwards?!... "Where we come from everybody believes that...." Hmm ok, sure. Britain is not racist at all, no. Did he forget about Brexit or something?
They're talking about Corperate America the "corpocrisy" then Saul mentions noticing that not every member of their audience shares the same philosophies as the band both in Britain and probably, noticably moreso in U.S. The vast majority in the crowd will be similar to each other and members of James, politically. Audiences in UK are likely some of the 48% who voted against Brexit and are certainly not racist, almost but not entirely, he noticed. Very much doubt anybody would suggest that racism is more prevalent in UK than US
Brexit is about inclusion in the European Union and the effects it has on the uk as a nation, politically, economically and especially concerning our legislation; there’s no racist undertones to brexit.
Brexit has nothing to do with racism, it's about looking after the people already here, Great Britain is a multi cultural society.

See if you'd played the beautiful song Broken By The Hurt a wee bit more, you'd have known the lyrics Tim. Just saying like.
We're living in extraordinary times and you must be extraordinary if you can sing EVERY James lyrics without maybe making a mistake..
Huge back catalogue to envy and to remember I guess..
Presenter talked too much ..let them play
I don't like the bad language. Sincerely, Karen
appalling and a daft hat
