I got about 50 red papaya seedling inside right now I got all the biggest and healthiest seedlings in one of my grow tents with some gelato and nycd babies. I found out papaya farmers soak their seeds in diluted potassium nitrate for A couple hours and I did half and half to experiment all the seeds I soaked in the mixture popped tails two to three days later and all the seeds I just soaked in water and planted took a whole nother month before they sprouted tails.
Most tropical plant are drought activated because the tropics have a dry season. Once you let the seeds dry in the sun for a couple days they will sprout in about 3 days as well
As someone from a tropical asian country who had grown 10 papayas and other fruits I am proud of Jessie for growing papaya in Canada. Someone from my country who is an agriculturist successfully grown apples too but in the mountains with 18-22 degrees celcius temperature at the foot of the mountain.
If you didn’t know wild species of banana have seeds but most grocery store bananas have no seeds because they are seedless types of banana wild banana are very interesting you should try it!
Istg we have 4 stray papaya trees growing in our backyard. It may be the birds ofc, but still pretty surprised. They're already maybe 3ft tall, we're kinda unsure if moving them to a more wider spot will stunt it's growth, coz they're sitting right beside our concrete fence. Tbh we wanna have the fruits even if we didn't plant them.😅
Nature is the best gardener! You could try moving one or two, that way you can see which grow better staying put or being moved. I'm no tree expert though :)
So a reel of yours came up on my feed because I'm a plant person, but I clicked thought to your channel because I was curious if I could guess where you're from based on your accent. And lemme tell you, Canada was not my guess. 😂 Very cool video! That was a lot of effort.
Green papaya is eaten by cooking. We use them as a sort of vegetable. Kind of like chayote. Slice it up in a stirfry or boil it in chicken ginger soup.
my friend in chicago has a grapefruit and an orange tree. they are large in large pots. she gets fruit!! she also has a very sunny window in winter - not much heat tho.

just give an advice, don't grow the papaya tree close to wall or any building, that can broke or ruin it. because papaya root is strong. especially don't grow it to close to your neigbor, if u don't want any problem 😂
Quick question for everyone, can you grow fruits from seeds found in fruity drinks? Bought a passion fruit drink with pulp. There's these black seeds all in it. I'm tempted to try and grow but feel like it won't grow
does anyone else get pissed off by her making the most obvious mistakes Like she’ll just neglect her plants in the most fundamental way and then be like OH NO THEY DIED!! in an obnoxious voice filter
I'm not trying to be rude when I say this, but you gotta move elsewhere with your growing hobby :) It's very cool that you like growing stuff but it's unfortunate that you don't live in the best place for it.

@@arthurlouis8326 Hey thank you I will try this I read somewhere that you shouldn’t let papaya seed dry out, but that’s what I’ll do next time.

Be careful! Most papayas will not tolerate transplants I would leave em be 😊
also at 6:45 the math says since you said it has been 8 months, that means about 10 more before you get fruit from this point.
hahahaha

I love that I learned that! so cool!
Was that lake Ontario in the shot with the wine glasses? It looks pretty much the same from the other side but I can see the Toronto skyline from NY
That was in France ahhaha
Minnesota won't grow papaya. But its my favorite fruit.
it is such a great fruit. i can barely grow it here in Canada though!!
thats what i like to hear!
It's surprising that the tree can grow in a pot? Do they not require more room for roots to spread? Oh and thanks for this information😊💕🌺🌿

Why are my papaya seeds not sprouting
What kind of soil do u use for all your plants?
a ix of garden soil, vermiculite, perlite, and orchid bark (and someitmes a little mulch)
Did you know mountain papaya can grow in zone 8b

I wonder if papaya microgreens will become a thing?
omg that would be insane. microgreens actually harbour a lot of bacteria lol. i try to stay away from them
