Dir: Geoff Lindsey / UK / 2004
An obsessive music fan wants to be the first clapper at the end of every piece. But when he inflicts the clap incessantly on his idol, the virtuoso decides to fight back. Directed by Geoff Lindsey, the film stars Steve Furst (of more recent fame with the Orange adverts) and won the Golden Heron (Best Film) for Montecatini International Short Film Festival.

This is absolutely brilliant. I thought I was the only person who detested insta-clappers this much. Bravo!
What a treat to have so many classical culture references so well placed in a comical short film. Bravo!!!!!
mr. collins is oober-dooberly fantastical!!!! o my g i love him so freakin much!!!
Clapping after the 1st movement of the Beethoven 2nd? It's a good thing I wasn't sitting next to him.
When I saw the title I was expecting this to be about chlamydia. A near masterpiece!
BRAVO! first I was woried that "oh man 12 minutes movie damn" but it worth it, one of the best FS movies I have seen.
Nice story, great performance. I love it
With such a limited subjuct line, the story line nailed it. Excellent. Loved it.
aww what a wonderful ending
finalmente l'ho trovato!erano mesi che lo cercavo ma non ricordavo il nome!
One of my favorite short films.
An unexpected delight. Wonderful find.
clapping too early really does take away from the emotion
What a great short! BRAVOOOOO! clap clap clap clap clap clap
Amazing film. Annoyingly realistic, and really moving.
love the last applause!

Outstanding short. Bravo!

great quality stuff! thank you!
I loved this. Awesome work.
lol that was awesome.
This is the first video I've seen from this channel (and like many others, thanks to the fluff piece on the Beeb infratube site), but marvellous. I'll be watching more I think.
Great short!
That was fun. :-)
I first heard about this film on a BBC News article about clapping during The Proms, and I thought I'd search on Wikipedia - didn't quite get the article I was looking for!
But anyway, I loved this short-film, I actually gasped when he clapped too early! The ending just seemed like an unconventional love story - the artist wanting the approval, 'love', of the early clapping. Great film. :D
That was great!
He is sooo quirky.
Its funny because my sisters anf I always compete to see who can have the first clap.
Ingenious film.
That was great!Wonderful! I laughed so much!
Awesome!
that was wonderful, i really loved it
Well done!!
I know this kind of people in Thailand. They always want to be the first especially with me. They want to walk in front of me, do things before I have done things, interrupt me when I will get something done. I have got bad neighbours here in Thailand.
Very nice.
wow, this is awesome...
Truly Great
this was great loved the kind of humor
Great! Loved it. :)
Well Done!
Great video!!
Bravo!
Bravoo!!!
LOL I loved it
Great job =D
Bravo! xD awesome short
He basically missed the sound of his enthusiastic clapping and so he gave the narrator a free pass to a future performance.
good one!
good stuff!
marvellous :D
El arreglo del tema "Porque es un buen compañero" en el minuto 8:04 es excelente!
crazy story !
brilliant! :)))
bravo!!
Yeah, it should be entitled "Outer Space Creatures with more than 7 Eyes cought off-guard" ;-)
05:14 made me laugh SO hard.
It's obvious that guy had one bad case of the clap. I figured it out during the halfway point but it was still a fun film.
congratulations, great video
looooooooooooooove.
great! :)
that was really well done xD
amazing intro.....thats all i watched
haha Loved it :)
Haha, brilliant in a quirky/dorky sort of way!
Poor clappin fella. Might I suggest possible a cycling tour of North Cornwall as a slight distraction. Best take a short pump too.
*****
that guy has a raging case of the clap.
verry good 5 stars
Bravo
hzhahah that was funny lol and well directed
Cute. I know a guy like that, who needs to be the first -- he yells "Bravo!"
LOL. Very good.
And anyone wondering what Ch4's Fonejacker looks like, he was the one in the front row with the woman.
the narrator reminds me of mister bean, the way he acts.
wow...!
funny! im going to show this to my mom
The reason why they always wait to clap after the song ends about 3 seconds. Because they know nothing whole song.
lol Bravo indeed.
I wonder if anyone noticed that the guy with the woman in the front row of the audience was the very face behind The Fonejacker.
dam good
the guy at 4:30 is the fonejacker! haha
Lmao at that part xD
Your point? You don't want to imply that studio's are right and number of views are the only thing that matters right?
what is the name of the first piano song?
i played it before but i forgot the name
Why do we need to buy the goddamn CD if we can watch it on youtube for free..?
lol i thought this video was going to be about the disease but yea to my suprise it was actually good.
What does the composer say to his chauffeur at the end?
It's called symbiosis.
(clapping before you) CLAP CLAP CLAP BRAVO...
Very well orchestrated if i might say...very good.
Sincerely, a kitty* (my CoD4 name)
*****Thx...
That was hilarious! This was my favorite of the four (except maybe the John Lennon one). Nice work. My advice...change the title. I seriously got the wrong idea. lol
But overall, great job!
05:13 That ending. xD
How do I get this kind of camera?
that was worth 12 and a half+1 minutes
is he the guy from orange adverts?
Reminded me of Laurel and Hardy. Entertaining.
@SOHCAHTOA100 THANK YOU SO MUCH! I gave up looking for it, god it is so fucking funny
HAHA didn't notice that
whats the point of the cough around 3:00?
Piano players, what piece is that he's playing at 3.06? Something by Beethoven?
Chopin's Scherzo No. 2 in B flat minor - Fantastic piece!
The lead looks like Prokofiev :0
THIS GUY SOUNDS LIKE CLIVE HANDFORTH AND DR HIGGINBOTHAM FROM LBP2 xd
