Yeah I thought so too, S4 had its EXTREMELY bad moments (Felicity being shit with Oliver about William) Also I remember thinking I really disliked S6 but after Rewatching it was pretty good, Maybe I enjoyed it more because I’ve thought the Recent Seasons of Flash are Awful so in Comparison S6 Arrow was far better 🤷♂️
@@etgamer16i rewatched season 4 but skipped all the Olicity and felicity scenes that were bad and it’s overall kinda decent. Fights were still good for the most part, soundtrack was nice, Oliver as character was still decent and the transition from the arrow to green arrow was well done. Plus without season 4 we wouldn’t have season 5, the writers learned from their mistakes unlike the flash writers who just kept making bad seasons straight for at least 3-4 years
In all fairness the Arrowverse was notorious for having awful CGI so Arrow being more reliant on practical effects really helped it be more visually appealing than the other shows especially during the later seasons
I don't know if people realize that, no matter what you think of this show, this version of Oliver Queen is one of, if not THE strongest live-action non-powered superhero out there, with maybe Batfleck being the only one I can think of that is technically physically stronger. You can argue that he might not be as technically skilled as someone like Charlie Cox' Daredevil, that's another debate, but on the physicality side of things, he is near peerless. We're talking about a dude who routinely kicks his opponents legs SO HARD, it actually causes them to hit their head on the ground and get knocked out in one hit. We're talking about a dude who's able to lift a grown man, by the collar, with ONE HAND and slam them on an above obstacle, like a railing. And not only is he abnormally strong, way stronger than a person his size has any business being, but he has near superhuman levels of stamina and pain tolerance. He's just so unbelievably strong.
I’ve thought the exact same thing since I could remember. The only person I could think of who is a better fighter than this version of Green Arrow is Ben Affleck’s Batman.

Ben affleck's physique is built for strength, stephen amell's no, ben affleck is stronger but their fantasy characters are different, oliver is stronger. To be honest, if Arrow had the same first three seasons and had seasons 5 & 8 as the last two seasons, the show would be considered as good as Daredevil. Seasons 4, 6 & 7 are why the show has a bad rep.

did a full rewatch of arrow recently. genuinely still enjoyable, the "bad seasons" weren't nearly as bad as I remembered.

When the character doesn't have super powers the choreography has to be good. Much better than Flash fight scenes.
