@@TheRopeAccessChannel I appreciate the heck out your videos man! I’m talking with my employer about getting my irata lvl1 started here soon and your videos are excellent. Thank you!
Would it be possible at some pointt in the future to harness comparison video i am intrested in what skylotec have to offer vs the industry standard petzl harness ?????
Harnass fit can be a tricky one. Body type really matters. My favourite combo right now is a Avao Sit with and old Navaho Croll Top. However, that has only got about 75 days left before it's tenth birthday. With the release of the new Harken Ninja Chest Ascender I am looking into a new Top system. Hope that helps
Hey! I was looking for such a channel for so long. I'm rope access passionate (non certified yet) and gonna buy my first harness. I choose between Astro Sit Fast and Avao Sit Fast. I'm gonna use it with Top Croll. Which one would you recomend? I found some pros and cons but would like to know opinion of someone who has more experience.
It depends... haha I think that is the standard reply to any rope access question😂😂 Let me ask a non pc question... Is it being tall or there is belly in the way? Tall people sometimes mix harness sizes. A size 1 for the lower and size 2 for the upper. Is it option 2, then try different harnesses is the only thing I can think of. Different brands, different models fit different bodytypes. I tried a Skylotec harness that was my size according to the numbers and I had the feeling that it would fit a bigger person better than me. i wish I had a better answer for you. I would like to know if you find something that fits. That way I can share it we can all learn from your experience.
Apparantly YT only sends me notifications of the first comment. Not when someone adds to the conversation... I have a friend who wears a size 1 for the Sit part and a size 2 for the Top part of his harness..
That is up to the manufacturer. Usually 10 years from date of first use and it can vary depending on shelf life and how hard you use it. 2 weeks is the shortest for me haha
Great and clear explanation! well done!
Thank you! Glad you liked it.

I have 3 harness reviews I need to make the time for to start and edit... A comparison video is also a good idea.. Thank yuo
We got some new harnesses here, we got mixed between petzl and skylotec. Petzl by far is more comfortable now. What is your favorite?

Is the harness classified as textile or metal?
Please.
What is the expiry date for IRATA harness
Answered in another comment
Do you know any other type of harness that could compete with the astro model?
Edelrid Vector Y, Eyolf (forgot the model), New Petzl Falcon with a Croll top, CMC Atom is the most comfortable (for me/...)

Great to hear, thank you 🙏🏻 👍🏼. My personal harness is an AVAO Sit with a croll top. I like it more than the Astro😉.
Is it advisable to wear a cup with one of these things?
Why would you want that? Well, maybe if you’re afraid your colleagues will kick you in the nuts it might be 🤪
@@TheRopeAccessChannel It just looks like there's a lot of pressure in that area, that's all
@@cryvsspy if you put on your harness properly and take care the straps are in the right spot there is no issues. Sometimes though…….
I’m a little top heavy is there any way to stay more up right when suspended? Thanks
