IRATA Level 1 - Assembling Basic Harness & Equipment

All candidates shall be capable of fitting and assembling his/her personal rope access and fall arrest
equipment. This includes the tying, dressing and setting of knots; e.g. those used for attaching ropes to
anchors, or to create knotted ‘cow’s tail’ lanyards.

I run 3 cowstails (a bull nose and a Progress Adjust). I'm interested in why you've got 4. Is that just for extra capacity? What do you use the 4th one for?

Tell me about cow's tails. I saw that you chose dynamic rope. Is there a standard rope diameter or a particular type of rope (static, dynamic, or rigging rope) requirement for cow's tails, or is it simply a matter of personal choice?
