One of the most beautiful things in my life was when, one day in Peru on the third floor of a house I came to believe that God really loved me. All my spot, all my blemishes, all the things I’ve done, that before Him they were removed in Jesus Christ, He could only love me and would only love me and never stop loving me. And that I did not know as much about myself as He knew, and yet He still loves me. - Paul Washer
Every day I wake up with breath in my lungs is a true testament to God's grace and mercy extended upon me. And every day, when Christ discipline's me, its a true testament to his love for me.
wow such a powerful sermon.....that we are Loved by God if we indeed are in Christ and forgiven! So amazing the Grace of God. Amazing Grace how Sweet a Sound that saved a Wretch like me...I once was lost by now I'm found I'm blind but now I see
Its been multiple decades since I have heard anyone talk on the " Song of Solomon", and at least as long since I read it.. I have never heard it presented like this ! Thank you, Paul, for this message...and thank you, Lord, for raising up brother Paul to tell us of your intense love for us!
@Intepacazule "However I feel empty and lost. " - Do not turn your eyes upon your feelings but upon Christ. Salvation is not found in how we feel but in what Christ has done on our behalf. We must gaze upon that beauty and rest in that alone as our only hope. There is no other place to rest but upon Christ alone. Whether your lost or saved you must run to Christ, rest in His finished work. As Isaiah 26:3 says, he keeps him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him.
Song of Solomon 4:7-9 (7) Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee. (8) Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards. (9) Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.
Agreed with this intrepretation!!! ... Jesus is in EVERY Book of the Bible. From the first sentence of Genesis to last sentence of Revelation. When I first read Song of Solomon after being born again all I saw was Jesus and His bride. Like the Bride we became lukewarm and non chalant. Lost our first love and yet He goes and gathers flowers waiting for us the whole time because He loves us. Men do what men do best and that is make everything about them-!! Its not about a man and his wife having sexual relations... its a description of the relationship we experience when we fall in Love with Jesus at the time of salvation. Another example is Hosea. How people read this book after being saved and saw a husband and wife having intercourse only is beyond me. Its not about us... its about Jesus. To make a book in the Bible about us and our enjoyment only just proves our fallen selfishness.
S of S 6:4 christ to his bride: "4you are beautiful as Tirzah, my love, lovely as jerusalem, awesome as an army with banners. 5TURN AWAY YOUR EYES FROM ME, FOR THEY OVERWHELM ME- your hair is like a flock of goats leaping down the slopes of Gilead. your teeth are like a flock of ewes that have come up from the washing; all of them bear twins; not one among them has lost its young. 7your cheeks are like halves of a pomegranate behind your veil."
It seems a common practice these days to preach that we are saved but this is contrary to Scriptures. We are commanded to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" Philipp 2: 12. Paul kept his body, "and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." I Cor 9: 27. He wouldn't say this if he were saved. We are sealed unto the day of redemption Ephe 4: 30, & the Holy Spirit reveals this truth to us when he seals us.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, (Ephesians 2:8, ESV) who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, (2 Timothy 1:9, ESV) he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, (Titus 3:5, ESV) And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:31, ESV)
@babiesfriendly This even shades more light. Did I not hear Paul say that Our Lord went into the garden to pick lilies/flowers for us, a sad misinterpretation of this passage. Lilies are God's Upright children & what happened here really is the 'Birthing of Children" according to Genesis 49: 11. Our Lord was here gathering Lilies meaning gathering his upright children "Binding his foal unto the vine, & his ass's colt unto the choice vine." Lord have mercy on name-it-and-claim-it preaching.
@abide Sad when another Jesus is preached. We see God's upright children in Zion's Womb in Song of Solomon 7: 2. Naval means unbilical Cord & Wheat stands for God's Upright Children. Zion or Jerusalem is the Lamb's wife & the church of Philadelphia (Rev 3: 12; Isa 62), thus anyone not born in Zion's womb is bastard (Psa 87: 5-6; Isa 66: 7-12; Rev 12 1-2). He is called the Lamb in (Rev 21:9 & 19:7) so even a fool could understand the Lord took a body that he might take a wife & begat children.
Sorry Paul, this is absolutely an annoying wrong interpretation of the Song of Solomon. Song of Solomon is key to understanding the gospel. This is the account of our Lord's courtship, marriage, & birth of children with the bride/hisbody & Lamb's wife (Rev 19: 7; 21: 9) & daughter of Zion ( Zech 2: 10; Matt 21:5) who will be the mother of all (Gal 4: 26). This is NOT about us. Dew means Holy Spirit, if only Washer understoodd what transpired in SOS 5 he'll keep quiet for the rest of his life.
@babiesfriendly I agree, this is a wrong offensive interpretation of the Song of Solomon. The Song has nothing to do with believers. The Lord has the right to express his love for his Bride & wife without this present apostate harlot churches claiming its them. Its just like hopping into our dad's bed & claiming that what he says to mom is to us. People need to understand the Mystery of the Church. The Daughter of Zion in Song of Solomon is a Person, we are NOT the wives or bride of Christ

Amazing

Because of Jesus Christ, there is no blemish in me 😮

This was one of the best sermons that I have heard in a long time. It has given me a lot to think about.

Amazing sermon. The Lord has spoken through him.

He can sing. He always says he can't. listen to 21:35 and he sings.
Yeah I noticed this too. It was really good 🙌🏿
do you think this is really true? Because if it is than it is the most wonderful thing in the world
