I never once stopped to think about the creator. When I watched them the series with just the fluffy creature looking like a horse were all they had going on, so I thought they're an innocent fan, whoever they were. I would be perfectly fine with it being an adult-owned channel, because it's also adults who draw the original show. However, the few vids where the fluffy creature is turned into an adult would make me bit suspicious even back then.

As a brony, let me inform you on just how big of name fluffle puff was. When I tell you fluffle puff was a big name back in the day. He was! They made some of the most popular videos in the fandom. I think the draw to his content was the fact they were simply, cute, and conveyed comedy without uttering a single word while also successfully imitating the shows art style. Millions and millions of views were garnered, and even though they don’t have a bajillion subscribers, pretty much every brony knew them, or knew of them. The “pink fluffy unicorn dancing on rainbows” was VIRAL. When that video came out, a neighbor of mine who wasn’t even a brony was watching it.
So to see (arguably) the most popular brony animation of his time, be this bad of a person is a bit of a bombshell for the fandom. We’ll see what happens as the situation unfolds, but it’s not looking good for him.

Honestly, being an OG female Brony (2011), I am not surprised at this point.
For one, there already is a list of the biggest deals within the Fandom that fizzled and...went down a messed up path (Digibro, Mandopony, Y2Kpony, etc).
And now, despite me still being a huge fan of G4, having gone to so many cons and being an active fan for pretty much a decade of my life, the current fandom I actually stay distant from. The far right extremism has taken over the fandom....and that group is statistically more likely to do this kind of stuff (child abuse, animal abuse, domestic abuse, all this is more common statistically in red states). The fandom hasn't been in a good place for a while now (since before the pandemic, and it's gotten progressively worse).
The public facing bronies who are still a big deal have all moved on and still (at the time of writing this) are good people (Saberspark, Blackgryph0n, Josh Scorcher, etc).
Don't, get me wrong here, I'm not accusing everyone in the fandom to be a singular thing. I'm talking prevalence. The louder parts of the fandom. The wholesome is still there, but you have dig through bullshit to find it.
These allegations have been floating around in quiet whispers for years now. Grooming takes time and during this time, the victims were vocal about what had been going on (in more of a bragging sense as teens do). It's not until they look back and realize they were harmed.
The entire Fluffly Pony subgenre is a rabbit hole of...sexual degeneracy and then some.

Not people that are almost 30… that’s also negating the fact that it’s a flawed law, since your brain doesn’t stop development until 25, yet for some reason the law (at least in my state) says you’re an adult once you’re 18.
When… by that logic you should be able to do more “Adult” things like drink or smoke, but they have those set at a higher age… it’s contradictory as sh*t, if they can’t do any of these, why the hell is that the “legal” age for them to be considered adults.
Even if we push legality aside for a moment, logically it wouldn’t make sense for a NORMAL and SANE person to want to date someone that’s still a high schooler (or unfortunately a middle schooler in some parts of the world.), since the maturity is vastly different between a 16 year old and someone who is nearing 30 (so say 27-29), due to said near 30 year old having a lot more life experience and more brain development than someone who still needs their mom to drive them to the mall.
Laws are as flawed as the people who make them, it’s clear given how in other countries the age of consent is severely lower. (Example, Nigeria the age of consent is 11, while in the Philippines and Angola it’s 12, most South American states have theirs at 14, same with various European countries.)
Now, answer me this, are you gonna pull the same “The age of consent is __.” Bullsh*t when looking at these ages, or is that “too far” to you?
While you’re at it, are you gonna tell the victims of these flawed laws that “Well that’s what the age of consent is, so it’s not illegal.” All while they’re protesting to have these laws changed?
(This isn’t only a Legal issue bucko, this is also an Ethical issue… and from the looks of it, Ethical concerns are being shoved aside because grown ass adults want to b*ng children and will throw a hissy fit if you tell them what they’re doing is disgusting… f*cking vile.)

I knew Befish (her name is pronounced 🐝🐟). I worked with her in a professional capacity in the Brony fandom at the time. I had no idea this was even going on, and while Fluffle Puff was a very respected person in that circle, I always felt... uncomfortable for some reason when he was brought up. To see an old colleague of mine reappear in a video like this after all this time is surreal...
I thank God every day I got out of the fandom when I did...
As someone who’s been heavy in the con scene for three years now, it really isn’t all that bad if you have the right friends.
Yes, you have some absolute knuckledraggers who do some of the most heinous, stupid shit possible, but every fandom has that. There have been some really amazing people contributing as of late and trying to redirect the fandom into a better direction and culture.

Grooming is still grooming if someone waits for someone to be of age. they don't need to be "dating" or have sexually assaulted them for it to equal grooming. If someone is groomed it generally means manipulated in a way that sways them in a certain direction just usually people refer to it in the sexual concept. So a good example would be the women who immediately at 18 start doing super inappropriate things such as making an only fans. They likely often times were pushed into it by people "close" to them. I do think in some cases adults can be groomed and it should be a crime. As such I'm pretty sure many times grooming of a minor is specified as that; "Grooming of a minor".

I was a teen girl “brony” it’s been over 10 years since then and when I look back I consider myself so lucky that I was never harmed by the absolute freaks that rule this fandom. Seeing clop material was my introduction into p0rn and it scared me out of the fandom forever. Again I was lucky that was the worst of it.
I honestly do believe these allegations. I grew up watching these MLP videos because (obviously) I was an 8 year old girl at the time. I recall him replying to my UA-cam comments expressing confusion about the lesbian couple (this was probably my first exposure to lesbians funnily enough). Nowadays, things are just going to Hell in a handbasket. And people like this just continue to tarnish the fandom community. Be it MLP or anything else. As a woman who grew up with MLP since it began in the 1980s and has been a fan for just as long (female fans often known as 'pegasisters' while male fans are 'bronies'), let me be one to say that we do NOT stand with these predators in any way. i see a lot of comments that are ' fluffle is a brony, he must be bad ' , ' fluffle is a man , he must be bad ' ( never knew so many people thought he was female ) , even ' fluffle draws lesbian's, he must be bad ' . yet very few comment that the person who spreads the accusations is a known online harrasser who attacks people all the time . one person is trying to ruin the lives of three others by spreading these rumors and yet everyone just runs with the ' proof ' . if every proof we see online was true, then aliens are real, the earth is flat and bigfoot is pregnant . if it turns out that evidence was fabricated, how many people will actually apologise for calling fluffle a predator and how many will just act like they did nothing wrong.
I realize how lucky I was. My brother-in-law got us all into MLP, and the fandom in particular inspired my creative streak for a few years(along with Transformers), so to look back and see how viscious some of the stuff I loved and shared with my family was behind the scenes is kinda terrifying.
I also hate the "they're autistic so they didn't understand" defense. I am autistic, and I go out of my way to ensure I understand social cues regarding relationships and consent. . . Because _I_ was harrassed by fellow students, and wasn't even aware of it despite how it affected me mentally and emotionally. It was a combination of poor SexEd in our school and those troublesome social cues. I saw this a lot with the #we are with Chugga. I was trying to support both Chugga AND Lady Emily as it was clearly a really bad failure to communicate on both sides, but all I ever got to see was "well, he's autistic so it's not his fault, and Emily is the problem here," which was kind of insulting as an autistic person _and_ a harrassment victim.
It wasn't chugga's fault tho. He declared boundaries, she accepted them, and they mutually participated. Even if he wasn't autistic, I still would see nothing strange about him being confused by her ghosting him out of nowhere, because she was just being ridiculous.
Broooo the fact that he went and said "I'll be here if you ever need anything" after apologizing to her for ruining part of her life, that's straight groomer action right there. The man that groomed me at a similar age did a similar thing. Him and I would be off and on constantly, and he would make me feel like he was capable of change by belittling himself and keeping communication open. Took him SAing me for me to wake up to the fact that he didn't actually care about me at all, just the concept of what I could be for him.

The unfortunate thing about the Befish situation is that you cant convince someone that they are a victim of something.
I thinm this situation has been handled beyond poorly and even if you can prove 100% of the doubt that flufflepuff did every single thing that was accused, that doesn't mean that you can use someone else's story without their permission. Especially if they are still under the influence of that person.
Now it will be harder to get them away and can mess up the message and warning in the long run.
