Okay here’s my spotty understanding of the MCYT gang war unfolding here.
Okay so, Dream caught accusations a long time ago. The Brighten MCYT guys seemed to buy it and pile on. There seemed to be a big schism at this time. Quackity seemed affiliated with them as well at this point.
Then that Brazilian guy on Quackity’s project, and the whole project in general caught accusations and the Dream fans piled on seemingly in vengeance. There had been an effort to cancel Quackity for numerous things at this time and a few issues were co-signed by the Dream MCYT CCs. I do think the Quackity stuff was the preamble to the new phase of following cancel campaigns.
So then, Wilbur caught specific accusations shortly after, despite that he’d left the Quackity stuff a few months before. They were still close.
The Dream MCYT guys seemed to buy it and pile on ironically. Dream did so specifically and George and Punz were two amung them.
Then in rapid succession both of them caught accusations lol.
Then small Brighten MCYT guy Snikrep recently caught accusations. Seemingly as part of this trend.
If all the content creators just came together, stopped giving air time and issuing their condemning public statements, these wacky accusers and hungry mobs would lose its power and eventually go away. Instead it seems like there is a weird proxy battle happening via Stans.

I think you had it right the first time when you said that people aren’t okay with not liking someone unless if there’s a “valid” reason to do so. Unless if said people are sick and twisted in the head, I doubt that they’re actually reveling in the fact that the person they don’t like has a potential victim count. Some perhaps would feel empowered by seeing an abuser being exposed, as they may be/have been victims themselves from separate situations.
