- After last weeks finds of major frame work issues due to rust and water damage we this week started to strip back the windows and frame around then issue area.
We have fun removing windows and exposing the issues and look into what we need to do!
Like and subscribe for more!!
The cinematography is top notch as always 😉
I love sitting down to my Sunday morning breakfast & watching your videos - I find Sunday mornings a bit lonely since my husband passed away (2023), so watching your family makes me feel less lonely ❤
Aww thanks so much for always watching. Hope you’re ok ! Hopefully to manage to get though watching without to much laughter 😆
Please wear safety glasses and gloves I admire your enthusiasm I hope the project is a success I enjoy your videos
Thank you for watching. And taken on board. You will see in the next video ! :)
Coaches are terrible for rot, hope the repairs go well - will give you a lot more confidence in the structure once completed.
Absolutely! I know we would find something along the way ! Better to see it now and sort! Thanks for watching
Proper job smashing time Conrad you r getting there long way to go yet but you now see what needs doing here too the next time 😂
Definitely a long way to go but we will get there. These things take time but would rather do it right first time!
The Purple Turd! Very appropriate!! Hope it flushes easy. Got to get worse before it gets better, unfortunately, as you already know!!! Good luck, happy scraping. Timelapse great for music if you get the volume balance correct and choice of tune. Regards.
Might need to plunger to get it moving lol. And most definitely. We will always strive to improve on the edits. Thanks for watching .
It's refreshing to see someone having a go at something they don't necessarily know everything about. It's how we learn.
Also sometimes snips are the right tool to remove a window 😂 I'm very much like that, "what is the tool nearest to me that will give me cutting ability/leverage/hammer ability" and then that is the tool for that job. Just get in there and get it done 😂 love the channel and looking forward to seeing everything coming together.
What is the overall timeline? Did I hear in a recent video it'll be a couple of years? Is there any hard deadline? What are you doing with the current bus?
Thank you so much for watching and some positive feedback !! We looking at 2 years all in with all work to the coach too.
We have brought some tools this week to help with jobs on the bus!
We will be keeping both. We will use the Fleetline as a back up or events!
Best to get all the shocks out of the way , when doing the re-build . Better than when you are living in it. Hopefully the Tin Rot doesn’t extend too far into the rest of the frame work. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
1000 percent. Rather deal with it now and sort than later down the road! Thanks for watching !
Enjoying these conversion vids , at first i have to admit i thought you was Eddie Hall 🤣... Look forward to seeing the finished project 👍
Ahah I get that a lot!! Thanks for watching !!!
Excellent build youve got there . 👍👍👍
Thank you. Will be better when it’s nearly finished 😂 we will keep cracking on
Nice to see my old No 54 Holderness Road school bus. :)
It’s a fantastic bus!!
Hi Conrad, I’m the guy from PSV Glass, if you want some advise on the windows, I don’t mind popping down to see you, I’m only in Sheffield. I’ll bring you some ppe as well mate😉🫣😂
I’ll take anything you got 😂😂😂😂 that would be amazing thank you.
@ I’m around tomorrow if you are, otherwise, whenever works best for you. I’ve only one set of ppe in the car put I can drop a family set off whenever 🥳
Drop me a email on conrad@bussmanmedia.co.uk and would love to sort something. Thank you so much.
I found the easiest way to cut sealant around the glass is using a multitool and a wide blade.
Absolutely. We have used one today. (Tomorrow video) and made a massive difference !! Thanks for watching
This video is like watching the final destination film, just wating for one of your limbs to cut clean off.
Ahaha thanks for watching
This is starting to remind me of Sailing Yaba...
They start digging out rot on an old boat and eventually rebuild the whole thing.
Yeah. We have to access how far gone it has gone. So far it’s looking alittle more positive. Thanks so much for watching
I love seeing your updates dude.
Bonding is unfortunately the new replacement for workmanship. MA laughs about it but to me, the idea that cars are held together with Mansory glue™ is frightening.
The rot isn't a worry, simple box sections and panels. An old fashioned fab will knock up those window mounts or get a caddy to draw up what you need and go to a modern fabricator.
I'm a cad monkey.
Aww thanks so much for watching. And isn’t it. Just chuck it on and hold. It’s so lazy and a pain to remove. Even with the right tools!
reckit ralf + glass = 💥 who knew? 🤣
❤️❤️❤️ love this
wow, that's a lot of corrosion there, will you be putting some sort of rust protection on repair to hopefully stop the corrosion , brilliant video as always
Thank you for watching. Absolutely. Once the repair is done and we have the rest of the frame which looks okay we will be treating it all and sorting the leaks to stop any further damage !
I would remove all side windows, repair the frames then panel all side up then fit caravan windows in the places you need them that gives you windows that open.
It’s like you have been listen to us! That’s what we will be doing with the down stairs! Thanks for watching .
Safety glasses, gloves & dust masks. Need I say more.
Say no more. We have sorted it !!
Anne & Les watching from Lisburn N.ireland
Thanks for much for watching !! Hope your well
Lovely air conditioned bus ready for summer 😂
Exactly!!! No sweat box here. Thanks for watching
I’d take the rest (downstairs) out , sheet metal over it after repairs , put some decent campervan opening windows 😁😁
It’s like you’re reading our minds. That’s exactly the plan. All explained in tomorrow’s videos! ;thanks for watching !
Oh, good video, but not so sure about the health and safety aspect of the work .
Some protective glasses and gloves together with a multi tool may be a good idea, thanks.
Thanks for watching. We have taken the advice and got a multi tool and it’s helped loads. May of even got some PPE
Arh, that great. Just watching the new one, great work .
Ill just try and lever this huge pane of glass out with a pair of tin snips.....oops it's smashed...🤣 Hang on, window 2, I'll just stick a pair of pliers behind the glass and....oh no that ones broke too! Lesson learned, glass does not bend.
Glass definitely doesn’t bend lol. We have got some tools to help now with the rest ! Thanks for watching
@@six_inabus I wouldn't miss an episode, it's teeth-cringing at times as I'm quite OCD in how I do things, but the comedy value of your work is amazing, keep up the great content.
Sorry to say I saw that coming as the back end had loads of sealant on it. Be careful too!
And then the other one 😬😬😬😬 was that the heat gun on it for too long?
Ahaha I wish it was. The the heat gun didn’t smash the window. Would be fun to try ? 🤪🤪
Hello I’ve just subscribed to your brilliant channel next time I see you in the shopping centre car park Rotherham can I come and say hello ❤
!!! Thanks for watching! And definitely do. We are there a fair bit shopping lol !
Smashing!
Thanks for watching.
seen that coming oh dear
Yeah. I think I knew it was coming too. All good. We will sort ?
Just thinking…
Do you need to remove both windows each side of the one you need to remove due to access and possible damage to the glass when replacing or repairing the rusted metal work?
Also due to age would all the windows need to be resealed into the bus again because the current sealant going/getting hard and brittle
Thinking is good.
Yeah so with the windows out we can access the frame and repair. Where the windows have blown water has sat on it and cause the issues.
Thanks for always watching .
When removing those windows you need to keep slashing at the slant then put a piece if fishing line through and cut the sealant rather than smash the window the window are repairable at a double glazing gas centre as the gan get a 6 mill insulated seal don't break any more ask a windshield fitter for a bit of advice all the windows need removing and re sealing in there is a easy way come on viewers there must be a auto glass person out there to give him a heads up or a bit of help.
PSV came and showed us how to remove them !! Thanks so much for watching. Got some tools now which will also help!!
Wear proper ppe you will regret not doing it when your older good luck in your project
I agree with you 100 percent. Check out tomorrow video! Thanks for watching!
Long piece ,of piano wire might be easier
Yeah we have been told this and ordered some to try. Thanks for watching .
You could put opening windows there.
That’s exactly what we will be doing !!
@ ive been thinking to buy a truck to make into mobile living.
@ that would be so cool !!
Well you had a smashing time. 😂 can you wear gloves and at times safety glasses. I don't think your viewers want a video from A&E titled Conran had an accident
Yeah I don’t do hospitals or A & E! Check tomorrow video. I think you will be more at ease!
Think that it’s a coach bodybuilder that you need because both sides this is structure that holds up top deck this is why my company got rid of ours !!!!
Yeah it’s not great. Lucky the uprights are in okay condition. We have had someone out to look over it and got a plan! Thanks for watching
love watching - but omg ware gloves and a the heat gun and glass not a good mix- its funny to wach lol
Ahah thanks for watching. We fill out Health and Safety in the next video!
I've have broken it long before then to be fair 😂 12:49 😮
😂😂😂😂
When do we get to see what he got then
Ahaha check back next week 😂😂😂
YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAA
Right back at you!!
Getting very expensive I would think.
With money we have gained from the scrap and other bits it’s not been to bad! Thanks for watching !
i was wondering where your wife was, an important job. I dont have the brains to advise, but im looking forward to see how you overcome this
Ahahah she is definitely here! Keeping me in check! Thanks for watching
@ I’m wishing for my Sunday morning instalment of the weeks events but a busy family with 4 kids is an ask 🤣
How old is this bus you have got
The bus is on 2001 thanks for watching !
Rule number 1 don’t wear headphones when watching when glass is involved
😂😂😂 yeah I bet that made interesting listening ahh cheers for watching
Luckily it is only one window frame that needs work. 🤔
Yea. One for major work the other just for a new top ! Thanks for watching.
You surely got glass shards stuck in your skin pulling that broken glass. Also lucky you got none in your eyes. Gloves and goggles aren’t expensive.
Very lucky I didint. But lessons learnt and we all geared up in the next video !! Thanks for watching
pull all ols windows out
That’s the plan!!
Mega water traps around those windows, not great designing by the coach builders
Aren’t they just. Will be okay once we clear them and plate over them. Thanks for watching
I'm a retired HGV mechanic, this whole project isn't sustainable for you and your family. Time is precious, and let's not forget the cost. Obviously it's good content but as an engineer I know the end to the story.
I really am wishing you all the best ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeah I totally get where you’re coming from but with my work. This is my way of having time away from it all in front of screens and spending silly money on over expensive crap! Thanks for watching
costing yourself money, all could have been removed intact with a few more tools and cheese wire....metal near glass is a no no.
The windows were damaged and beyond repair. And most definitely. We have got some new tools now!
Why an earth you don't wear gloves ? Its really silly to be honest you have to look after yourself. I am not having a go, I am just thinking of your hands.
And safety glasses
If you have worked on such vehicles where are your tools, I've never seen anyone try remove glass with tin snips, the wire to cut all around the glass and someone holding it, as soon as glass flexes it will shatter, a multi tool would have took them trims off neatly
You should get a professional PSV glazer to help as they can help get out and new in without much damage.
🤒
We have took on board what you have said and made changes. Check tomorrow’s video! Cheers for watching.
Painful to watch some of the methods you’re using to remove stuff…
I was cringing at the point you thought you’d remove the window with a metal tool by prying at the corner 🤣🤣
But, lessons are being learned and you’re clearly making progress.
Get yourself some plastic prying tools and some decent gloves
Ahah thanks for watching. We have got some tools for the next video to help. All a learning curve and definitely not a how to channel !
Berkoff buses are rubbish , 99% of bandbuses are Setra or VanHool because they are much better built . companies only use Berkoff , Daf or other makes because they are cheap to buy
Yeah they aren’t the best and is going to offer issues going forward but it’s all in the fun ! Thanks for watching
