Now this is a proper remix. Giving tribute to the original and adding own innovative tones but still maintaining the grace and integrity of the original.
Taking it back to 97-98... even the original tracks still sound very techy and advanced. I literally had to look for the title and artist(s) of the NFS II and III game songs when I first heard them with the game control still in my hand, right off the bat I was like... WHO'S composing this...what band is this? That's how I ran into a name that changed my taste of electronic music and all of music forever: ROM Di PRISCO. How does he just come up with music like this? This is guy was born for composing electronic music.
I prefer a new Pro Street (i´ve loved that game) or Underground 3 before they try to do another Burnout with polices. Why they even star to make Need for Speed games if they don´t even know what a real NFS is? Fast cars in fast roads. City or route, tuning or not, we all agree in something, if they don´t do a proper physics and good system of racings they don´t even must touch a new NFS project.
@@carstutorial im sorry but i dont like people who take exotic cars and add bodykits and all that and just ruin the cars looks just for aesthetic purposes where as it doesnt look aesthetic at all....please stay away from the exotic cars and go tune the japanese cars...
@@2ADVANCEDYT Well, you know what they said, the aesthetic got the function. If you got a Diablo SV and take it to 900hp maybe you´ll need a little bit of help with the aerodynamic. I love every Need for Speed after the Criterion part, but not because the part of "only sport/super/hyper cars", because is just like a Burnout with cops. I prefer a Need for Speed with a good handling, nice noises and a gamplay with a lot of things to do. Like was Porsche Unleased, Hot Pursuit 2, Most Wanted 2005 and Pro Street. I don´t mean about take a Ferrari and put some lambo doors or anything like that, but put a bit of you in every car is just magic. Even in High Stakes you modified the cars and in Hot Pursuit you can configure the car. Is about take the best of both worlds, but maybe the only thing we can be agree is the fact of the Happy Drift and the minimum effort to take a transition from mr. "Nobody" to mr. "Your daughter calls me Daddy too" is fucked. Do you remember when you´ve started with that blue Z4 and with a lot of effort, before you can figure it out, you alredy was driving a beautifull F1 GTR?. Or when you´ve get that desent IS300 to that Porsche Carrera GT? Or maybe from that 240SX to the Zonda, or Veyron, maybe the F1 again? That´s the spirit of the NFS. But in the process you´ve needed to learn how the heck you must drive. Is not the same Hot Pursuit to Unsleased or High Stakes to Pro Street. I don´t know about you sir, but I really need that back now... AND I SAID RIGHT NOW jajajaja.
@@jckphotograph It's quite deep, and your words are very true to a point. A ton of people will criticize how you draw a face, or a comic looks stupid, but rarely anyone would lift a finger and actually make something happen.
Fantastic remix. You didn't add anything that would of taken away from the style of the original, and i applaud you for that. I know that when making remixes, its easy to get carried away and end up with something that has nothing to do with the original. You introduced new elements to the song, but maintained its appeal. Well done.
+edwin I'm wondering how many hours did Rom D take composing the original and how many hours did this remix take to get it just right. Perhaps more than 24 literal hours of total equipment time on the original.
Alanna Walter me too, i only got to play it when i would go see my cousin that loved 200 miles away id spend so much time in the credits then id play him in the canyon track and wow memories
It's actually NFS 2 SE soundtrack mate ;-) but yeah, song was so good that it featured in NFS 3 too. Good job on remixing it! It's quite refreshing to listen to it :)
Still true to the original , but yet far more advanced. It makes me feel like I stepped not back into time, but into a parallel dimension where this was the song used back then for the credits. It is hard to place into words. However for lack of terms, excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The things I would do for a professional remaster of NFS 1 to Hot Pursuit 2, maybe even up to carbon getting a bit greedy. And it would choose to either play the original tracks or these remixes
The original gave me shivers down my spine due to it being one of my childhood songs from nfs3 (my first non dos game when I was 3) This remix does same. Well bloody done mate!
Sounds like you were hyped up on Red Bull while taking 5 shots of esspresso and sniffing some of that good crack on the side while running on the tread mill you made this track. ROFL. I love the original but props for attempting to remix it. :)
its nice to know that the qualities of rom di prisco's music for need for speed is not lost. Grew up listening to this and playing the games. My heart still stops every time I hear this music being played.
OMG Bro, Rom Di Prisco is one of my top Favorite bad ass DJ’s This brings back so many memories, NFS used to have such amazing music, High Stakes introduced me to Rom Di Prisco and from there on I always looked up his music, Thanks so much for appreciating his talent, You are mad talented yourself, You gained a new subscriber 😎
I'm very glad that I found your channel! Thanks for the very high quality remixes, even after many years they sound very fresh! Success in your work, greeting from Russia!
I'm kind of nervous to ask, but would it be okay if I used this song in a montage I'm working on? (I'll make sure to credit you for the song, of course.)
Nice, but it doesn't really add anything to better the original (which admittedly is difficult since the original was so good). Would have been awesome to have one of those NFS-style guitar solos added in.
your free downloads turned into paid ones :( though i'm okay for supporting talented musicians, but here in my country purchasing music outside iTunes is PITA :/
Like edwin v said, it doesn't take away much from the original. Some remixes have been better than the originals. This is one of those remixes. It doesn't put itself on a pedestal, nor does it diminish the original version.
Rom Di Prisco is a CRIMINALLY under-rated master. He deserves so much more recognition.
@@TheSchmonk94 I thought that he passed away

Hell yeahhhh
how do you mean underrated, his music made the early NFS series into the capo class of racing games, just like fusion jazz made Gran Turismo
