What are your approach, departure and breakover angels after your 2 inch frame lift and 3 inch body lift? I could see you approach and departure angels being significantly better since you raised the front and rear bumpers clearances 5 inches but the breakover wouldn't be as significant since you only raised the frame 2 inches. I am seriously thinking about doing an over land build on a dakota but building it on the club cab version since I don't need the extra doors.

Never tried but I can assure you that you won't get 35's on with anything less than 5 inches of total lift. It's snug even with our body and suspension lift

I have no spacers, so I just don't crank it all the way when turning. Since I only get rubbing at full lock. I feel like more than half inch spacers would give you a ton of rubbing on the rear of the front fender wells

So then 31s will clear with no modifications, 32s would be fine on road probably, but will rub if you go off-road. Trimming the front fender plastic would make ur 32s clear anywhere and I have a video on where to trim them. 265/70r16 will be ur 31 inch size if you have 16 inch rims, 265/75r16 will be ur 32 inch size with 16 inch rims 👍
@@bikesandbangs okay cool just got my hands on an 04 quad cab . To crank up its clock wise right? Have you had any issues with ball joints or front end wear
@@benbrumbley181 well my ball joints weren't anything great when I got the truck, so I replaced them right after I did my lifts. I'm sure in theory they will wear out quicker but if you just crank the stock keys they should last quite a while

The angle wouldn’t make it to much better with the body lift but what it will do is give more clearance for bigger tires which would help off-roading
I just bought a 2000 Quad cab 4X4 with the 5.9. Planning on building it similar

Ive had problems with my dakotas aftermarket turn signals flashing fast when the headlights are on but normal when headlights off.
All you need is the light bar and the rack will look so nice

Yes, factory shocks are fine for just 2" of lift 👍

Nice build. Are the fenders larger on the 2004 than the 2006? When I measured mine, it seemed to fit 33's max.
Yes, the 1997-2004 have significantly larger fenders. Idk y they made the wells so much smaller on the newer ones

I crank em til they don't go anymore. They stop at about 2 inches of lift

The body lift kit comes with brackets to raise the front and rear bumpers
