On the argument, that if everything is determined then how can Robert expect “change.” The way “I” think about it, change comes from “understandings.” “Understandings” if scientific are based in the seemingly “objective” - logic. It’s like the example Robert uses. Individuals didn’t sit down one day and “deliberately” chose to no-longer see epilepsy as demonic possession. It comes from decades of neurological research. As Sam Harris may put it when the mind/brain is met with something that subjectively - “views” as logical that brain is powerless to not to “accept that logic.” Subjectively think that’s one of biggest deciding factors in a belief in the notion of “free will” it is generally seen as logical instead of intuitive. At no “fault” of course. It’s in sense the subjective assumption of the merit of the “experience of choice.” Although I’m speaking the obvious here - as “you” definitely already get it. Also have gotten some very few individuals - to “admit” in a couple comment debates. That “they” more or less “want” there to be “free will”.

It was determined by the multitude of factors (causes) that lead to the seemingly cohesive consciousness and biological creature that “I” am. To be an extremist, so “I” live this what “I” see be unequivocably the “truth”. For that luck in this aspect of “myself” “I” am grateful.
