Something curious about Massa is that everytime he made the first Australian GP for a new team (Sauber, Ferrari, Williams), he didn't survive the first corner. On all three ocasions
Can anyone tell me why is everyone making fun of Mazepin? I mean yes, that was kinda funny that he spun, but this whole making an idiot out of him for this incident is just weird. Also I just love that everyone laughing at Nikita seems to magically forget the fact that Mick did literally the same, just at a different place(lets, be honest, if Mazepin went off whee Schumacher did, nothing would happen) And I mean that: Mick’s spin was a near perfect copy of Nikita’s spin
I must mention Roger Williamson to this list with tears in my eyes.... In his debut race England 1973 he was involved in 2nd lap mass crash only to be fatal killed in his second GP, The Dutch GP 2 weeks later.

Slightly surprised Hans Heyer wasn't on the list. His one and only Grand Prix famously features a DNQ, DNF and DSQ, being disqualified from a race he never officially started and didn't even finish
I doubt they forgot about it, I mean there’s not a person in the F1 community who doesn’t know about it, but I’m sure that Mazespin’s dismal debut was what inspired them to make this video
I would look forward to a feature on the poor unfortunate drivers who fared even worse, by never qualifying e.g. Vincenzo Sospiri, Perry McCarthy, Pedro Chaves, Claudio Langes etc.
the thing about Karuns debut, I was watching and for those who are unaware he never actually took part in FP1-FP2 or even FP3 his first chance was in Qualifying when he crashed out he said "there was a bump in the track that i didnt even know was there" :(
Not even a "Haha mazespin" joke, literally Mazepin should be here The entire weekend he kinda looked a fool by spinning often enough, broke the quali golden rule and spun, again, to cause yellow flags during final runs. He got out qualified by a fellow rookie teammate who has a clear pattern of being not very good in his first season in a new category, and then in the race spun out on his own at the third turn and crashed out, entirely on his own
Lotterer was actually offered a seat for the Italian GP after (maybe the rest of the season) but he rejected it because one race was enough for him to experience F1
There is not really a reason to feel sorry for him. Every driver (except maybe Hamilton) started in a backmarker or bad midfield team and has to prove himself in that seat. I mean, Mick already has a multi-year contract. Haas won't kick him out after this season if he does not fail completely.
@@Rocky712_ Rumour has it Kimi will retire at the end of this season, and Ferrari plans to move Mick to Alfa Romeo away from the sinking ship of Haas. I hope it's true.

Yes his debut RACE did not go well, but the rest of the weekend and especially qualifying was what made his debut strong enough to get him to one of the top teams.
Mr. Mazespin's debut was also pretty short, but I think they didn't include him because Matt would explode with rage because of his passionate hate for Mazepin...
The worst must be Mazepin, he spun out on his own and crashed after 2-3 turns. Most of the others had either mechanical issues or got caught out by first lap crashes.

Lotterer’s could’ve been even worse. His car coasted back to the pits and almost stopped Hamilton from making it down pit road after HAM was forced to pit after the infamous Lap 2 incident with Rosberg. There’s video of it from the stands somewhere.
Fun fact: Ernst Loofs race distance was so short, he didn't even manage to make it to the actual start/finish line.
I was just about to mention that, great fact
@rene dillema literally just the distance of a modem F1 cars width
According to Josh revel he went less distance than a full Jeremy Clarkson
Another fun fact: mazipin has done more time in quali than In the race
