Thank you so much for this video, I have struggled with chemistry the most out of all the sciences. I need a grade 8 or 9 as I’m doing in next year and I really appreciate all your help, thank you!
3 means 3 moles of oxygen, 3.5 moles means 3 and an additional half of a mole. (1 mole = 6.02*10^23 atoms, so half a mole would be 3.01*10^23 atoms.) btw, you can multiply all the number of moles in both sides of the equation by 2 so that all of them are whole numbers, this would still be balanced correctly as the ratio is still the same, and it makes it easier to look at. I hope this helps :)
I finished my chemistry paper 2 today and this video was a true gem for me ! it helped me understand GCSE Chemistry like never before. thank you for making complex topics so clear and easy to grasp ❤️
Hii I do separate science and I'm not going to lie, yesterdays paper was really difficult but i am glad i watched your video because if i didn't, i would have failed. Guys, these videos work and they are WORTH IT.
THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, i got 9s and 7s in all my previous mocks simply by listening in lesson and watching your videos to revise and I'm so thankful you're putting out videos during exams, rly hoping for a 7-7 thank you again!!!!!
The molecular formula increases by CH_2 everytime as you go down the homologous series. I think idk. ahaha For example in alkanes: Methane = CH_4 Ethane = C_2H_6 Propane = C_3H_8 Butane = C_4H_10 etc..... NOTICE HOW THE NUMBER OF CARBON ATOMS ALWAYS INCREASES BY 1 and THE NUMBER OF HYDROGEN ATOMS ALWAYS INCREASES BY 2 This is the same in alkenes: Methene = (non - existant) Ethene = C_2H_4 Propene = C_3H_6 Butene = C_4H_8 Pentene = C_5H_10 etc..... This is also the same in alcohols: Methanol = CH_3OH Ethene = C_2H_5OH Propene = C_3H_7OH Butene = C_4H_9OH Pentene = C_5H_10OH etc..... HENCE THE MOLECULAR FORMULA OF SUCCESSIVE COMPOUNDS INCREASES BY CH_2 I hope this is right and this helps ahahha
Thank you so for all your hard work, biology went great due to your video! I am just wondering what topics are single only a I do combined and don't ant to waste any time. Thank you again!!!
alkenes are unsaturated 36:09
i believe there is a mistake at 36:30 as alkenes are unsaturated while it is alkanes that are saturated

hi thank you very much for your videos
@43:37 what does the 3.5 mean? Should it not be 3? Is there something wrong with my understanding?

no
alkenes and their formula are in combined sci too
