I agree. I love how Elder Bednar kept replacing temple with "The House of The Lord." Temples are important because they point us to Christ. That is were the power is. The temples can't save us, the redeemer does. The temples don't bring peace, the Redeemer does.

For real. I agree. This was a tender mercy. There were so many things Elder Bednar said that were customized to a situation my family is facing right now that I know only God knew about. He is an ordained apostle, like Peter James and John of New Testament special witness of Jesus Christ. Most people commenting are of the church of Jesus Christ of letter, Day, Saints, and believe that the ancient church Jesus established was restored in modern time (the last dispensation). He is one of the current ordained apostles. He’s calling is to be a special witness of Christ through all the world.

Nowadays, that question isn’t unrealistic (no pun intended). All I know is I certainly talked to Elder Bednar. It was a tender mercy. Much of what he says in this interview, I believe was God speaking directly to me and my family about things only God knew about. It’s a long story, but God is real, and I can’t deny that even more than I could before. Elder Bednar had no idea, but God did.
And who knows, If what Elder Bednar says at the end about doing “this in person” sometime happens, we will know it isn’t AI.

The qualifications laid out in Acts for an apostle was that they were chosen by God and they had to have been an eyewitness to Christ's entire ministry from His baptism to His resurrection. Another case where the LDS church simply ignores scripture. They ignore how to tell a true prophet of God from a false prophet, they ignore that if an angel from heaven teaches a different gospel, he is to be accursed (damned to hell), and they ignore that scripture has taught for over 4000 years that there is only God who created the entire universe and everything in it, visible and invisible. Only by ignoring these truths does their doctrine hold together.

    • @truth4190

Before stating your claims, Have you studied the doctrine of the Church Already or Have YOU already watched and read The General Authorities talk? I bet you didn't. Every one reading your comments will just laugh because it seems you did not study well.

Before you question my knowledge, can you show me evidence that Jesus just walked away from His church for 1800 years after He haad promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against?
Can you also tell me how God was unable to protect His word after He said over and over again that His word would stand forever? The Holy Spirit is the author of God's inspired, infallible, inerrant word, and He does not lie and He does not change His mind, yet the book of Mormon and their librry of other books they've added contradict what we recieved from the Holy Spirit.
You seem think God is either highly incompetent of just a liar. Which is it?
General Conference? Where is that found in scripture? Where are the ancient manuscripts that can substantiate ANY claims made by Mormonism? Where are the remnant peoples and civilizations of Mormonism? Where are the archeological artifacts that justify your beliefs?
Joseph Smith had numerous false prophecis and both Deuteronomy 13 and 18 tell us that a propet with even one false prophecy is a false prophet and is to be put to death.
Galatians warns of "an angel from heaven" who teaches a different gospel is to be accursed. That's precisely what Joseph said because he wasn't very bright and didn't know scripture. If he did, he would have planned his plagiarism a little better and excluded the scribal notations from his plagiarizing the 1679 KJB. Not being bright, he didn't see a problem with ancient Jews speaking perfect King James english.
Have you done all you can do? Have you removed all ungodliness from your life so if you were to pass away, grace would be sufficient to save you? I know more about your religion than you do because you are afraid to examine what you believe---something God commanded us to do.
      2 Corinthians 15:3
Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
Why do you call youself Truth? Isn't that a bit self-righteous and arrogant when only God's word is truth?

    • @cinnimini404
      @cinnimini404 6 місяців тому

So Paul, I guess, never qualified to be an apostle? Pretty sure Paul describes himself never meeting Jesus until after Jesus died. So without an eye witness to Jesus’s entire ministry, per your comment, Paul’s authority is moot.
Why quote any of Paul’s letters if that’s the case?
Also, God didn’t write the Bible. People did. Paul wrote the letters, some he didn’t, like the Pastorals, by scholarly consensus. The Gospels are anonymously written. Stop talking like the Bible is something pristine and perfect and written by one person. It isn’t, and any thoughts to the contrary is dogma being imposed on the text. The idea that the Bible is inerrant is a modern one and begs the question on why so many get it wrong except for…I guess you?
You speak of Deuteronomy as if that’s actually authoritative when most Christians negotiate away most of the Jewish code. Cherry picking much?
Before you bash on other people’s dogmas and ways of worship (as if you had anything better to do) have some perspective on your own dogmas that inform your way of interpreting text found in the Bible. The Bible doesn’t speak, and it cannot boast itself to be perfect. Any declaration it is so is prioritizing dogma above letting the text speak for itself.

Lol be honest-the bible isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be so to use it as the one all be all “book of God’s word” isn't too impressive. I mean it’s an interesting book but when you put it on a pedestal particularly in the context of disproving another faith, that’s kinda lazy & boring. Oh & to brag about your “knowledge”, uhm bro we’re all using the exact same content. Only difference is how it’s interpreted & applied.
