My mission president shared this video with me and I absolutely love it! Thank you so much for creating it, and allowing me to learn and grow from it. It was very refreshing, and I believe it wholeheartedly. We truly do find happiness from governing ourselves and living by true and everlasting principles. The crazy thing is, these principles have always, and will always exist. God loves us infinitely, and his patience for us is amazing. I’ve watched the video twice now and listen to it once in the truck while I was driving. I truly believe that we are to find joy in the journey. Find joy in living the principles day by day. Not being the checklist type of person, but be the person that loves God. I truly believe there are three types of obedient people. Number 1 you’re obedient because you’re afraid of what will happen if you’re not. Number 2 your obedient because you know you’re supposed to be. Or number 3 your obedient because you love God. I love Him, and I will do my best to enjoy the process of being obedient to everlasting principles! Thank you again so much for sharing!
One of the biggest ways we can pay the price is by being humble enough act in the direction God is leading us. One of the things I learned from Parker’s example was he knew what he wanted, asked for it, trusted and did what was needed to make it happen with God’s help.
i think the 4th missionary talk is lame. to say 1st missionaries are not changed by their mission is stupid. they always go inactive after their missions. thats a change
anyone know the talk he referenced by Elder Corbridge about the 4th missionary? I have not been able to find it. I have a missionary I want to share with him.
Sometimes we have to try other ways to know it is doesn’t work. Then when we come back to the gospel we know how much better it is than the decisions we’d normally make on our own.
@@LetsGetRealSJ Great question! I love how Parker outlined how his mission changed his life and set the foundation for the rest of his life. So many people just go through the motions, but by being fully committed and by giving it all your heart, Jesus Christ becomes the co-author of our life. I can't think of a better co-author to have!
I loved this so much! I totally agree that when you dedicate your life to the Lord, things always work out for your success. Not just monetarily, but health wise etc. thanks for sharing an amazing example of Parker and his story! Love it!

"For me, success is becoming like God." Parker Walbeck gets it. "Sinning is a step backward, repentance is a step forward."
I learned and continue to learn a lot from Parker’s life experience, secularly and spiritually.
I have a plaque at home that reads "If you do what is easy, your life will be hard. If you do what is hard, your life will be easy"
You can have it all... if you're willing to pay the price with hard work, sacrifice, enduring obstacles, and maintaining your standards.

Amen! “When it stops being a burden and starts being a joy”

@@jeffbitton1836 I really like that part too. Letting God prevail is the hardest part but makes life way more enjoyable.
Great interview Stephen! Can't wait to see more
