You could get the most complete of those tri fives running and driving with an Ls driveline and parts from the others and new front suspension and power disk brakes and keep the manual steering for about 6 grand if you know what your doing. I've done it a few times already. It's the finish to show quality that breaks the bank.
It was a fun trip. I love walking through junk yards/collections of old cars and trucks. Can’t wait to go back down and get some stuff going on the top kick!!!
I have to tell you Dave I really enjoy your videos I really enjoy that your videos are simple they don't have loud music playing and all that crap they're just enjoyable to watch
I was drooling! All those Tri Five parts and the Pickup's and Blazers my got that was a 91 Sub with the one year power mirrors. Like my 91 K5 Blazer Someone needs to save those parts and Iron!
This 1 was epic Dave. I'm glad you made it a long video because there was some stuff to see. Dang! I'm not sure why I get so excited checking out old junk, but I sure do love it. Hahaha. Thanks again.
Another thing,, there's perhaps hundreds of these 'honey holes' in America with cars that could be brought back from tha grave BUT the folks who have 'em - even tho they will NEVER do anything with them - won't part with them. They for some odd reason say,, "I plan to do this one 'one of these' dayz" and the car goes further and further into the realm of the 'totally unrecoverable'. There's plenty of folks out there who have the money, they have the time and they have the resources to save the car but they cannot get to it,, owners won't let them go.
Wow just wow.. and then think about how many other old timers that are sitting on stuff just like this all over the place. Damn shame to have it all just wasting away
That was a really cool tour! It's hard to not feel sad about the obvious mental disorder that allows that level of chaos in what was a functioning shop with lifts and everything. I hope those relics find a respectable home.
David I loved your friends shop. BUUUUT, I'm a Veteran and one thing Veterans take seriously is their Flag. Please, for the love of everything awesome in the world, ask your friend to turn his flag around. When the American Flag is hung vertically the sea of stars should be in the upper left corner. I love that he's flying my Flag, but he's gotta do it proudly by doing it correctly!
Man, this is amazing and sad at same time: I'd love to wander around this place, but letting it all rot that bad that most of the stuff is unusable anymore. That's the sad part.
On your flatbed put a hundred gallon tank on top behind headache rack. You don't have to stop as often. That's what I did with filler necks on both sides.
Coming from a Californian that has traveled.....Ain't nothin' like southern southern hospitality! What great people! Can't wait to see the next videos of this project. Boy oh boy are there some nice vehicles I'd like to save in that area. Be safe!
Seeing all those places you guys explored reminds me of how I grew up! Don't forget a School bus is Governed at 45 mph so u will need some serious work to get that to run faster, but can't wait to see the upcoming videos!
Those c10s oh my. I love that people hoard up dz things but before there junk pass em on. I'd take either of those 4 door 57s. I never would've before but iv been seeing guys making 2 doors out of em regularly
Since you are doing a diesel conversion, you should switch the rear suspension to an air ride that isolates the spring pack from the chassis and maybe remove some leafs (Exclusive in Houston should be able to hook you up with what you need). Instead of shortening the wheel base add a sleeper to the back of the cab. Did you know if you had a pickup bed you don't have to stop at scales, with a utility bed you do. If you want to save a bunch of money in fees consider conversion to a toterhome. You can still have a fifthwheel hitch behind a sleeper/rv unit that you make independent of the cab. If it has a toilet you can register it as an RV (that's how it is in Cali)
@39:20 - You have NO IDEA how long I've been thinking about that crew cab fire truck car hauler idea, it's the perfect grassroots race team car hauler! Race car on the back, small trailer with all the pit equip; nevermind the unbeatable cool factor. And, if you went with a ramp bed, you could even push the engine/trans further towards the rear to possibly help with some NVH, maybe redo the front floor pan some to make a lil more room without all that doghouse in the middle, plenty of sound deadening, maybe some nice air ride seats front & rear lol. Would have to put it on bags all around too. Definitely a bucket list build idea. Probably a bank account straining one too...
That green and white Cheyenne is killer. Wish I could've seen the rear view mirror for the year. Cheyenne super was the top of the line. The green shortbed was real nice too
Man id love to drink beers in a shed with you boys and wake up and see what monstrosity we started to build out of parts that night, keep it up legend 🤘🤠👍
Man you’ve become the 57 man ! Everyone wants to take you out to their honey holes and let you see what they’ve been hoarding. Someone else will let you use your Cubic Dollars to own a few more lol ! Cool video my man !
I would love to have that suburban.. where I live these are very few and far between. I got sick and ended up in a coma in the hospital and mine was stolen from my brothers yard. Probably 12 years ago now.. was my favorite vehicle I've ever owned.
Currently working on saving a vega wagon. Collecting parts already have the rear end ford 9 inch and ladder bars, 5 lug conversion (don hardy kit off an 80s era pro stock) a 2003 suburban for the drivetrain swap (5.3 flex fuel with 4l60e) already have the cage material as well and seats are being upholstered. Hope to really get kicking on it in the spring.
@38:45 that chrome under the window on the back doors is a very popular Kustom touch gays are using on 49-54 Chevy 2 doors, i have seen one that was chopped and the B piller was laided over like they do on chopped merc's and he molded that peace of chrome under the back side windows, man dod it give that car that one off touch...
@@tlr-nut7275 no I'd much rather buy a rust bucket and they are not that easy to find around my area most all of them are already ate up. The price on classic trucks is just gone crazy a pile of rust will go for many thousands of dollars around me so I have to be picky
@@rockkhound943 I have lots of cars and trucks. I'll sell you a super rare '68 crew-cab W200 Power Wagon short-bed for only $20k. Needs some love. Come and get it!
Thats awsome i commented on the first video saying yall needed to cummins swap the top kick. Now yall need to get with them folks over at power driven diesel and get them to hook you up with some go fast parts. Them and gale banks make the best parts around if you want to make a cummins make big numbers and do it reliably there pretty much only 2 places i by parts. Plus there great people/companys to work with Yall might be thinking of the end of conair when nick cage ismfigting with dude on top of the fire truck
One of these days you fella's will be the old timer watching the young'un's come milling around your lot saying "Uncle how much to part with this one" LOL
David, with enough "cubic" dollars they can all be saved.

Crazy place with all them old rides !!!
We all know now Dave’s favorite show is junk yard gold
It was a fun trip. I love walking through junk yards/collections of old cars and trucks. Can’t wait to go back down and get some stuff going on the top kick!!!
That cummins swap into the topkick will be sweet when its done………nice game play coach!!!
DD's speed shop just had a heart attack!
24v Cummins will be awesome in the Top Kick, its crying out for a 5th wheel too!!!🤘
Love the Jeep Commando! Wish I’d never lost mine. That Coronet was sweet also! I need a project!!
I literally gasped out loud when I saw that judge peaking out from under the cover 😲😵💫
I have to tell you Dave I really enjoy your videos I really enjoy that your videos are simple they don't have loud music playing and all that crap they're just enjoyable to watch
Would love to have that blue Dodge Demon. Body looked good on the right side also.
fire truck ramp truck. friggin brilliant
There are enough tri fives out there to put together a couple of good cars with nothing more than labor. A fortune in parts alone.
Fab video Dave, nice to see all those vehicles intact, that haven't gone to the crusher. thank God for hoarders. Your tow rig is awesome. Stay safe.
Paws got some beauties, new and old.
Great to see Dave’s videos miss you on mikes channel but dare I say I’m digging your adventures even more
Best one yet! All those 57' parts just sitting! Makes me happy and sad at the same time. Thanks for taking us along.
Just found out about your new channel! I'm loving the videos so far

What a great trip. I would of loved to have been with you guys for sure.

Yooo I found you Dave been missing you with Finn bro it's not the same found your channel so I'm good now 👍
Lots of rusty gold & beautiful rides. Can’t wait for a 64’ Impala update
Hopefully they will get saved a lot of potential there😎
That was a really cool tour! It's hard to not feel sad about the obvious mental disorder that allows that level of chaos in what was a functioning shop with lifts and everything. I hope those relics find a respectable home.
Seriously, how is it that nothing was said about the Goat?!! Was it a real Judge?
It's a shame that all of that stuff wasn't used before it turned to junk. Cars sitting in a woods have a rough life.

The fire truck into a crew cab ramp truck idea is definitely a good one, make it happen 😂
Wish you had bought the firetruck 🚒
Mr. B. Here ! Save them , Save them both ( 1957 ) so few wagons out there !
Also love that red squarebody suburban at 15:04 needs to be saved for being that great of shape

Ol’mate Dan, DD Speed shop needs to move there. He would be able to get most off them back on the road. He would be set for life 😂
Sickening to see those cars rotting away like that. Shame on that guy !!!!!!
Ya 12 volt Dave I’m glad this channel popped up on my feed keep the shows comeing big guy

God I wished I had money to buy some of the vehicles. The red square body suburban looks just like the one I had stolen a few years ago.
Man id love to drink beers in a shed with you boys and wake up and see what monstrosity we started to build out of parts that night, keep it up legend 🤘🤠👍
Twenty 55 gallon drums of evaporust might be needed.
That blue duster is the one to save for me. Love that body style and the patina is perfect
Danged hoarders claim they are going to fix their rotting cars but they never do. It;s a damned shame.
I didn't here anyone claim they were going to fix them up. I did here parts car.
Hey David! I'm subscribed! Looking forward to donuts in the 57!
Mr. B. Here ! You guys need help fine a home the these vehicles . OMG !
???
I'm still drooling over the mopars
That's not just a winch Dave. That's a warn 8274, arguably the best winch warn ever made and you can still buy them new
Stoked for the Cummins swap, also Wesley is a natural, needs his own channel
Damn gold mine going to waste. Wish the hell I knew where this was, it would be worth the trip

That player rim is worth some money. If u have all 4 could be up to $3800 depending on the style. And if there were 4. U definitely should look for 4

1950s vespa machine is amazing i mean its still walking just like the younger ones
We did the same thing. 03 Bluebird. Gutted for our IH shop truck. 🤘🏽🤘🏽
2:24 I want that Impala wagon. I have no place to put it and no money to put into it, but damn lol
31:40 hittin them bumps in the TopKick are rough on the spine and discs! Hell Dave used to be 6’4” before he started driving it.
Man what a gold mine!! So much great stuff rough or not.
That's a formidable plan. Best of luck.

Id rather see you drag one of those c10s or blazers outta the woods
So sad to see it all sitting going to waste
What I would do for any tri five! They aren’t very common over here in Australia
I'm now dehydrated from all the drooling!

The yellow ford truck seems to have a mid 1980s saab 900 hood hinge set up FYI.
Unreal what you’ve just showed me!! Gearhead heaven is right
Awesome finds! I’d love to have the green short bed c10 next to the Coronet
Just take the seats out of the school bus and use it as a car hauler
"I saw it first!" hotdamn that was funny.
Dunno if anyone's posted but those "Dusters" are Demons and the Coronet is a 69. Cool vid though.
At first glance I thought they were dusters until I got closer. They all look the same to me from the side lol
you're getting the Tri 5 sickeness David but I've had it too for a while.
Good gawwd going over that bump at the start lol keep it up man!
Awesome video. Great job guys.
Great episode can’t wait to see the Cummins swap
I couldn't leave that stuff. I'm crying just looking at it all.
My god, those trucks are fantastic
That was awesome!!! I didn’t know you were in GA!
I will pray for all thise classic rides to be saved . Makes me really sad . I'm looking for many of those trucks ...reeeeeeealy bad lol
Why can't you find any? They are everywhere! Let me guess, you only want to spend $20,000 for a mint one!

There’s a cautionary tale
Matador Red is so beautiful!
would love anyone of those 55 57s
Beautiful ey, even in said sad state.
Each car has its own story and the people that rode in them.
