Rob, this was a great review to watch: this seems like such a nice unit, and it's well-priced on AMZN US with the discounts shown. I think rather than paying for the 1TB drive I'd take the 512GB and just replace it with a faster 1TB. My one concern is the power supply connector: I really really like the design, in that doesn't use up any of the back panel space. Having said that, there's no way in hell I'd buy this PC until I could buy a second PSU at the time of purchase, because of being dependent on Beelink providing a replacement (or, I'm guessing, trying to find a 3rd party version.) But all of that said, it's nice seeing a high-end unit with no major flaws.

I just ordered this today 10/24 from Amazon US $409 for the 16GB/1TB configuration. This was the cheapest I could find, and its "prime exclusive" price... they also had the SER7 on sale 32GB/1TB for $580 - this was the better deal.

I have to say, I checked their site and the one with the 780M looks even better. And there is an orange!!!!! version!
I can't figure out why they don't let you get more than 32GB and 1TB (or less) for them.
But still, if I had the money I would 110% buy the orange one. Like now.

After buying one of these myself and trying to use it for a few days ....
    * I think the USB sockets on the front are upside down and it feels a bit weird saying but they don't feel as nice when inserting things .... (it's not as easy to insert things?) perhaps they're a cheaper 'brand'!?
    * Over 4 days I've had one random hard lock up - not managed to repeat it or figure out why ...
    * The bottom m2 socket may not be gen4 speed - at least I don't think it is, if I'm reading the output of 'lspci -vv' correctly.

Glad you moved on from the Intel N's. Those low power machines sound very nice on paper, but as you showed those are low performance machines. I'm actually wondering whether those Intel N's actually sip less power for my usual daily usage (i.e. connecting an HM80 with a 4800U with two 4K screens remotely to the office; the combo consumes about 70W for the three of them, and just above idle (10-15W) for the HM80 ).
For the SER6 Max, I would add max noise levels to the cons list, although it remains to be seen how often one hits those max sound levels. That said, once you have not heard a M1 mini running full throttle you start adoring the sound of silence!
Do you have the possibility to test the reach of Wifi and Bluetooth, or provide an indication? I noticed that this is quite poor for the mini's I possess.
