    Even the 5560U is a beast of a machine from Beelink. Quiet yet powerful machine for my dedicated Batocera machine. PS3, Switch, WiiU, PS2, GameCube all running full speed at 1080P.

    I have the 5700u, and am very pleased with it.
    I can play both fallout 4 and 7D2D on it at high settings.
    1080p with 60fps.
    I never hear any fan sound from it.
    The low wattage saves me
    money on the electric bill.
    With tax and shipping it was $300.
    Zero complaints.

    The reason usb 2.0 is still used on pc’s is not every usb 3.0
    Is backward compatible with older 2.0 devices. This is why manufacturers usually include atleast 1 usb 2.0 port.

    I almost purchased this unit a few months ago when I saw in another review that it could handle PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 emulation (which is exactly what I was looking for). I also saw though that it did struggle just a little bit with them and wanted to hold off until something just a little more powerful fell into or near the same price range. That's how I ended up purchasing the SER6 Max during that awesome sale last week. So I appreciate the direct comparison between the two. Makes me feel good about my decision making. 😝
    Another nice thing about the SER 6 Max is that with the HDMI 4 connectivity a person could sometime down the road install an external GPU if they wanted.

    It's impressive! The PS3 emulation is surprisingly good as that's based on Nvidia architecture, but it translates well on the Radeon side! The stuttering was obvious for poor Mickey Mouse, but I'm sure it's very configurable for lowering the resolution or maybe slight overclocking without shortening the life. If the GPU is easily removable, then it's worth that consideration.

      That's expensive, here in Germany I pay 8 Euros (~$8.70) for 10GB, 20GB is 14 Euros, and 30GB is on 19 Euros. I wish they had a lower data package since I only use about 500MB of data a month since I don't use my phone much when I'm out, I prefer to look up and see the actual real world around me.

    These Mini-Pcs are junk, they need to start adding A780s AT LEAST or 3070M mobiles AT LEAST to justify in having something better than a laptop. I was going to buy a high end Mini Pc with a gpu but decided building an ITX on a 4.8L chassis is actually better since there is no huge chargers outside the machine just the inside the case flex Power Supply, a mini ITX chassis is actually more compact and more powerful than these mini-pcs and can be built for less money

      Much more expensive thing is better shocker. What sort of weirdo would buy/build a top end PC just to emulate some casual Gamecube titles? Or buy a laptop when they want to mount it to the back of a monitor or TV?

    • @BrianHartman
      @BrianHartman Рік тому +2

      As others have already said, you're talking about a very different price point, which was already addressed in the video. These are meant to be budget PCs for people looking for good bang for the buck. You're not going to be able to play the latest games on the highest settings, but as this is a retro game channel, he's probably not too concerned about that. :)

    • @Michel-Graillier-fanclub
      @Michel-Graillier-fanclub Рік тому

      @@BrianHartman Brian, I totally get you, however I myself am also a retro enthusiast. Kinkhank just launched their updated version of the 12tb game drive and its a 3.5 inch HDD that wouldnt fit in most of these small tv box cases.
      Not to mention I dont like the power supply hanging out of them, heavy black bricks. So I would opt for a mini ITX build on a 4.8L chassis with a mini 4060 card and shove the kinkhank drive in there as well as a flex power supply which makes it up into a tiny gaming box that has all the retro games you could possibly want for the rest of your life , portable and that can be hooked up top a hotel tv or a home tv , 50 inch ideally ;)

      There's a lot of duplicate games in those 12tb game drives, unless your ok with that

    Will you be reviewing the SER7 7840HS? I was looking at getting the SER5 Max, but then I saw your video on the SER6 Max which kinda sold me on it. I plan to mostly use it for retro gaming but would also like to dabble in some modern PC games if possible (Elden Ring, Mortal Kombat 1, etc). MK1 in particular doesn't look like it would run on either the SER5 Max or the SER6 Max unfortunately, but looks like it might on the SER7. I'm just not sure it's worth the extra expense to grab the much pricier SER7 just to play that one game, unless it also gives a significant enough performance boost across the board to justify the price. I'd love to see a SER6 Max vs SER7 7840HS direct comparison, or just some advice to help me sort out what to get!
